  11. I thought Id go big on the back and leave the front sprocket as std - only to find the rear chain guide cant be adjusted for the increased diameter. My bike is a 2014 KLR450R - what do you suggest?

    EXC Chain Guard

Sorry to start another thread, but at the moment I've been pulling all the unneeded rubbish on my 15' EXC off such as the brake lights, blinkers etc, anyway I've just pulled off the big poxy chain guard thing, at full flex to the right the chain can just touch the tyre, any of you guys had issues with the chain touching the tyre? I haven't ridden it since I've taken the chain guard off but when riding I don't think the chain would flex the whole way across and hit the tyre, any feedback on whether it grabs and causes issue or not would be great! Thanks in advance!

When it comes to parts for your Honda XR650L, it can be tough to find quality, performance and protection, but XR's Only answers the call for performance-minded riders looking to increase the reliability of their 650L with the XR's Only Case Saver / Sprocket Cover. Manufactured from a massive block of air craft-quality raw billet aluminum, the XR's Only Case Saver / Sprocket Cover for the XR650L is CNC machined to exact tolerances, producing the ultimiate protection for the left side engine case against the catostrophic engine failure associated with a thrown chain. When stacked against the only alternative, which is a stock Honda sprocket cover, the brute strength of the XR's Only Case Saver / Srocket Cover is the ultimate in protection and reliablity against the elements.

So far I don't have ANY complaints! This bike is ready to race in the woods minus protection (hand guards, skid plate). The suspension is plush, brakes are great, and the gearing is pretty darn primo.

DESCRIPTION Protect your vulnerable engine case from the wrath of a thrown chain with the XRs Only's Case Saver! Not only will a thrown chain result in damage costing over $500, but at speed, it could administer serious injury. The XRs Only / 4 Strokes Unlimited and American Honda race teams know this all too well and have enlisted XRs Only Case Savers to overcome potential disaster from a thrown chain. The XRs Only's case saver is made of 1/4 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum and uses the motor mount to absorb the impact if you should ever throw a chain. Be certain to choose the size that is right for your specific counter shaft sprocket. SIZE: 14-tooth COLOR:Silver FITS:Honda XR650R
