DESCRIPTION Universal AC Voltage Regulator Improved AC Regulator with Adjustable Output. Universal voltage regulator limits voltage to 12.0-16.0 volts for AC systems (DC systems require a regulator/rectifier.) Conditions circuit to eliminate electrical spikes, protect from lamp blow-outs, and reduce flicker and dimming. •“Dial-a-Brightness” for halogen and quartz lights: At 14+ VAC setting, the lamps will approach HID lumens (~70%) but lamp life is short (good for racing.) ~25 hour lamp life. At standard setting, about 13.8 VAC, the lamps should last about 500 hours. At minimum setting, the lamps are not as bright as HID (~30%), but last over 1,000 hours. Included in Trail Tech plug-and-play high-output AC electrical systems with model-specific connectors; no cutting or splicing required. Designed and manufactured by Trail Tech.

Great motor, great suspension, great handling. Rides better than it looks. Fast as eff. Easy to work on and maintain. A keeper for life. Needs a few mods for added comfort on the road, but overall, there's no bike I'd rather be on.

Uncork and get on dirt and you'll love it. On pavement, not the greatest, but it's made for dirt of course.

Its a 10 year old motocross bike, with very low hours. Perfect for an Enduro conversion. This bike astounds me. One day I'm riding MX on a track, the next I'm riding in the desert on single track. Its unstoppable, and just so easy and forgiving. I love this bike.

What's the point of owning it if I can't give it 5 stars?! Seriously, I'm new to the dirt bike world. I've had a Harley, but never played in the dirt. I bought the bike and I'm completely going through it, and making it a dual sport and street legal. The only thing I won't touch is the motor for now, as it was just overhauled before I got it. I think this bike will have more power than I need and will put a smile on my face every time I ride her.

Screaming for mods ! Nobody would keep this bike stock. Cons: Throttle restrictor, Non programmable ECU, Choked exhaust, Tall friggin bike. Pro's: YZ engine !!!!!!!!, stock tires are nice, computer, cooling fan, EFI. electric and kick start, front and tail light make it easy to get your bike registered for street.

    1st Bike just love it
  15. Hi everyone, I have a 2000 DRZ 400s. For the past month I have been battling with electrical issues. Figured out it was the stator and replaced it. I did my volt checks and im running at 14.5 volts. So this morning i gear up turn the bike on and start to ride. I was already on reserve when i started my stator repairs so i figure i should go fill up. On the way to the gas station the bike was running fine going through the gears great. I was coming up to a stop sign and the bike sputtered and stopped. I first thought i ran out of gas. I called my wife and she brought me some gas. i filled it up and my wife went onto work. i tried the start the bike and it wouldnt fire up. it didnt sound like it was struggling. I was on a big hill so i tried to bump start it. Coasting down the hill i was having trouble getting out of nutral to 1st gear. The bike wouldn't do it. i pushed the bike home then went to work. My first thought was may be I vapor locked it? I did fill it up pretty full. I also just replaced the stator so im not sure if that could have caused somthing. The stator went in ok and i lock tighted the bolts and tighted them pretty snug. Any help is very appreciated. Im really hoping its a simple fix cause the wife is really getting sick of me buying parts for this bike.
  16. I have an 09 WR450F that I am making street legal and need to beef up the charging system as the stock is a bit too weak for good lighting. All 3 of these sell a high output stator and regulator kit, Electrosport goes for $153, the others being a little higher. Ricky is on TT and promptly answered a question about output. Anybody used any of these? Good or bad, I want to know before I buy.
  17. Hey guys, Found a 1998 YZF400 for sale for $3200. Bike is already made street legal and looks to be in good condition. Was wondering a few things about it. 1. The bike is 16 years old, is that old for this bike in particular? How would this have effected this bikes quality as a whole? 2. Would extended road use damage the engine/gearbox when neither are make for this? 3. Is $3200 a good price? I think its a bit high for its age, and will try to talk him down a bit. 4. Is this a good bike? I've read quite a bit about the wr400, how much does this bike differ? 5. I'm a fairly new rider, 5'11", 160lbs, 16yrs. Would thus bike be too much for me to handle? Don't have any more information at the moment, pending his response. Thanks in advance.
  18. hi there, I recently bought the ricky stator ltz400 stator after having seen a post confirming that after soldering the old harness on the new stator worked. unfortunately, after I completed my work, the bike no longer starts. im really not sure where to start. I unplugged the connector with the blue/green/white/grey wires from the box under the seat, and managed to test the blue/green resistance at 0.52 on whatever resistance scale my meter was on. I did not test the black/white wires. the battery is fully charged, the main fuse is intact, the starter runs strongly, the bike just doesnt fire.. it ran fine before taking it apart, so im sure i've messed up the job somewhere along the line. Im going to recheck to make sure I didnt reverse some wires along the way. That cloth insulation is annoying, I finally ended up using an exacto knife to carefully trim it off. thanks, David Mitchell Austin, TX 01 drz400s 78 r100/7
  19. Had a few people who saw my KX250 stator I made ask about one for YZ250's. Check out my thread in the Kawi 2 stroke forum and let me know what you think. looks like the 99-12 share the same bolt pattern on the ignition cover so it should work out well. /topic/941124-making-my-own-external-lighting-stator-for-kx250/
