I bought a used '05 KLX from a guy in New Port Richey. He said he bought it from his buddy (the original owner) but never got the title in his name because he didn't get around to going to the DMV. He sold it to me for a fair price and I checked the VIN, it was not reported stolen or anything weird, no liens. He also gave me all the service records with the bike all the back to when it had it's first oil change. He gave me the bill of sale from his buddy to him and a bill of sale from him to me. He also gave me the original title (originally issued 12//2004) but at the bottom the Transfer of Title by Seller area is signed over from the original owner to the guy I bought it from. When I bought it I was advised (from my friend) that I would never need to title it in my name because it's offroad and not to worry...so I bought it. But I recently read some stories of people who can't get a OHV sticker to ride trails like Croom without a title in their name or whatever so I'm not sure if I made a mistake here. What should I do? Not sure what the process is to get the title in my name or if it's even worth it. Could really use some advise, thanks! -
Looking for that perfect tire for EBMX, never run hard pack before and time to change the skins.... My bike is a 125 2 stroke and dances around alot when on the pipe and at my weight (195lbs) I'm coming up a little short on some of the bigger jumps that require full throttle in the turn to make.

Todays ride report: I went to croom solo this morning with the new bike. Its truly amazing how much easier it is to ride the 250 over the 125 in the sugar sand here in florida. Good news is I now know what the bike now needs setup wise for harescrambles and trail riding. Bad News is I rode down E trail from the front to the rear parking the bike started acting funny like it was was down on power. I shut the bike off to let it cool once I got to the pine parking after cooling down I couldn't get it to start and the kick starter was a lot easier to kick. RUHROH I did manage to push start it with the help of a couple of guys that I was tagging along with. And rode it back to where I was parked at the front down the A trail. I'm thinking a piston ring gave up the ghost, hopefully it didn't do too much damage cause I helped the previous owner of the bike do a complete bottom end on this engine 3 months ago. BTW it was a pleasure to meet Thumper talk member MELK-MAN. I forgot to thank you for all the help answering questions on here when I was getting ready for the dirtyfoot harescramble a while back. Well time to start ordering parts to whip this bike into shape.

Hey guys. I've been to Dirty Foot Adventures (pretty fun, but now closed for a moment due to noise issues I believe) and up untill awhile ago I found a cool sand spot by cleremont but there are no trespassing signs up now. anyone have some land I can ride on? Very respectful riders, always clean trash even if its not ours and take care of anywhere we are. 🙂 thanks for any info! Chris

I'll be heading to croom this monday to goof around with a few friends. All are welcome to join. We will be parked up in the pit parking to the left of the entrance to the pit. My buddies only care for riding in the pit but I'm willing to break away and hit some trails. I should be rolling in the gate around 8-8:30. Jason 🙂

I had to go to Tampa the other day to look at a job. So since I live out by Pierson I would just take Route 40 over and stop by hard rock cycle park. Got to the track about 10:15 or so the gate was open but nobody was around I rode to the back by a few old campers with grass growing all around them and still did not see anybody. Well on the way back I stoped back by about 4:50 or so and still nobody around. I did not ride to the back but the place looked like a ghost town. So I was wanting to go riding there on a wed or thur with the kids but I do not want to show up and nobody there to pay or tell me were to go and park at. Any info to help me out. Ron.

Gotta get the new bike checked out for HS season so I'm heading there this Sat., all riders, all levels are welcome. I park near bathrooms, Last day hammock area (just past the pavillion), Red Nissan Frontier with new KTM in back. Should be back there by 0830, gotta get a sticker for it first. Don:thumbsup:

Me and a buddy just got dirt bikes a month or so ago and are looking for some places to ride after work in the Gainesville, FL area. On the weekends we hit up places like Hard Rock, Ocala National Forest, Croom, Dirty Foot and Bostwick, but those places close too early on weekdays to go riding. If you know any places please let me know. We are planning on going to Dirty Foot on Saturday 7/30 if anyone would like to come out. Thanks, Brian

Anyone going to Dtown during the Labor day weekend? I wanna ride and looking to bunk up with someone or find a couple of people to share expenses. Looking to leave Central Florida Sept 2nd after work and getting a cabin Saturday & Sunday night and driving back on Monday(Labor Day) They are having Bands, Poker Run and a couple of other things. I'm a newb from Fort Myers area. Looking for people to ride with. I've been going to a track every Thursday for the past month or so. Last two times I went to Bartow MX, before that I went to L-Cross. Anyone on here ride in this area?

I just moved to Jacksonville, Florida from Virginia Beach, Va and was wondering if Florida is District 8 and where I could find info on signing up to receive race number or upcoming events? I raced District 13 in Va and it seems info was a little more readily available.

Heading up Thursday the 23rd, riding two days and coming back on Sunday the 26th. Anybody on the West Coast of Florida interested in going with me and splitting the gas and lodging (Kenny's RV at DP)? Meeting friends up there. We are all B or A FTR riders and will be riding singletrack till we drop.

Has anyone ridden there or heard anything about it? Can anyone pm gps coordinates of where to park? Going in the morning to scout it out, directions or not.

Do we have any other riders in the Panama City/Pensacola panhandle area? My son and I have been trying most of the tracks in the area and seem to like County Line the best. I still need to check out River Side and IIRC Mossy Head. Lets get a roll call and try to set up a track day. Would be pretty fun for you guys to watch me crash! 👍
