I currently live in idaho but in the past 5 years had been a washington resident. Right now i have a bike that doesn't have a title and i'd like to get one, preferably in Idaho. I was hoping someone with previous experience could inform me on this process. I have 2 ideas but I'm not sure either will work. Scenario one: File for a "new owner" title in idaho. My local dmv is ridiculous and they're telling me i can't do this, but I'm thinking there must be a way. I've had this particular dmv lie to me on several occasions anytime it benefit the state monetarily. There must be a way to file for a title, but these old hags are too lazy to do their job. Scenario two: File for a title in washington even though I'm a idaho resident. I know I can have the VIN inspected in washington and after 3 years receive a title. I have a washington address i could use for this, but I'm not sure if they would allow it.

Hey gang. A couple of us Central Oregonians are planning a trip with the RVs to Idaho for a little camp and ride in June. Any tips for where to base camp out of? -Mid June. -3 full days to explore. Don't want to have to reloacte. -A good place to camp in 2 RV's. We'd like to be away from people (not a deal breaker though). River/Lake camping would be cool. -Looking for a nice variety of trails/roads/scenery. Mostly woods and mountain riding preferred. -Dual Sport (plated), singletrack, whatever! -Intermediate riding skills Never ridden Idaho, looking for a "WOW" experience. Was looking at the Idaho City area because of the amount of trails that I saw in the area. Opinions?

Are any of you using your smartphone for navigating? Do you have a handlebar mount recommendation? I'd prefer one that is waterproof, or at least very water resistant. I've searched online and the specs are very vague at best.

New to TT forums, somewhat new to the area so I haven't really found many people to ride with yet. I live in Mountain Home and am looking to ride some single track in the mountains to the North. I'm not ballsy enough to head into the wilderness by myself, at least not for in the single track realm so I was hoping someone would like to join me this weekend (8 June) or any other weekend for that matter. I ride a KTM 500EXC and am a fairly proficient rider, just haven't done some serious single track in a while (might be a bit rusty) and I'm really trying to get back into some. Looking to head into the Boise NF, Trinity Mountains, Pine/Featherville area. Make it at least a somewhat reasonable drive for me... but I am willing to make a trek for some solid riding! haha Let Me Know, Thanks!

I'm in need of a frame for an upcoming project. Mainly the back half of a steel frame, the swingarm, shock (single or twin) and axle. I'd prefer if the swingarm was steel, but aluminum will work. Don't need wheels or brakes. Anyone have an old junker behind their shed?

I just back into riding after 5 years, got my wife a little bike and am slowly teaching her how to ride. Does anybody have any advice on where to take her other than out to little gem for her to get comfortable with riding yet challenge her? I live in Kuna but the butte up here gets old fast that is for sure!

Dangling a little to the left there buddy... Anyone riding Canfield this week should be aware of the silty grease slicks on the trail. I don't think I've seen anything quite that inconsistent for traction before.

Or is it just easy to get to? I have been there 3 times. I covered every trail there in the first two trips, and almost got killed in a head-on collision in the third. It is torn up, overcrowded and nobody seems to follow the rules. Liberty Lake is worse. I often wonder why so many people ride there when there are endless miles of world-class trails just 30-45 miles further east on I-90 in the Silver Valley. If it is just a matter of not knowing where to go, I'd be happy to shoot you in the right direction. It makes me sad to think that some people think Canfield is as good as it gets! Stop the madness!

Does anyone know of any trails on the CDA Indian Reservation? Or if any of the areas are even legal to ride? Years ago, I worked as a driver at a halfway house to take the federal inmates to work. One of them used to talk about the killer (maybe the wrong word) trails down on the "rez", and I was just curious if anyone on here has any information. Thanks!

blm has invited the public to come out today 11/5/11. they will be there from 9am to 3pm at the parking area 2 miles east of stone quarry on big willow rd. the would like help from the public to identify roads and trails on this public land. check out blms websit for more info.

Everyone needs to come out and show support for Idaho Supercross's next event. It is October 7th and 8th. If you haven't heard it is a supercross race at Meridian Speedway. There will be some top pros racing including Nick Wey, Jason Anderson, Chris Gosselar(sp) and Cole Siebler just to name a few. Are there any OHV campgrounds between Twin Falls and Mountain Home? I need to drive to Idaho next week, splitting my time between these two places. I was thinking if I could find an inexpensive campground, I could save enough hotel/restaurant money that I could take the truck and bike (plated) and have some fun while there. Any suggestions?

The Owyhee Fun Run presented by TVTMA is next weekend, May 5th, aka Cinco de Mayo. The local rag did a write-up on it, link here or check out the flyer on the events page @ tvtma.com. Family friendly, beginners to experts will all find some fun out there whether on an ATV or dirt bike. It's a great event, gonna be a ton of fun, bring the whole family out!
