First offroad tire with Kenda's Advanced Apex (AA) technology for increased lateral response and optimal carcass stiffness All new tread design allows for faster forward roll, increased side bite, and controlled flex without washing out Unique sipe and groove orientation allow for linear cornering characteristics and superb braking control Larger footprint for better grip in every condition Deepest front tread in the offroad lineup and still FIM-compliant

Just bought my first 'modern ish' bike. My youngest bike before this was my 1984 XR250R. Bought it knowing it needed a top end rebuild so I got it for a steal. - Head work done by CRFs Only, new Kibble white SS valves up top. Great company, decent turnaround time. - Trailtech Vapor ride computer, excellent for keeping track of all the maintenance and data like engine temp and distance traveled. 5/5 would recommend.
  4. I heard M5B comes in a evo compound. I also heard the new Kenda is pretty amazing. But everyone that has tried it seems to go back to the M5B. This M5B tire has been introduced to most of us by a couple Wiley veterans and a runny nose kid. I know there are a couple other options out there, but is the M5B still the king and no other reason to buy another tire?
  5. Hey guys I ride a lot of rocky trails & some coal hills once in a while (aswell as a variety of dirt & mud along the way). I have a set of STI MXC's on the front is holding up well but the rear is pretty shot already after only 3-4 rides. Another few rides and its ready for a new one. Was wondering if theres something that I might get a few more rides out of? Want to try some different tires to see what I like best. What would you guys recommend for my type of trails? 110/90-19 if it matters.
  6. Has anybody tried any of the Kenda motocross/offroad tires? ie washougal II or millville II
  7. I need to throw some new knobs on the DRZ. I am looking at the Kenda TM2 and was wondering if there is anything better out there? I don't care about street wear (within reason) I'm just looking for a good all around aggressive dirt tire. I know off road tires would be better, but I need to stick with DOT. I don't mind mixing and matching if there is a better front out there. Everything I find when I search is either inconclusive (which might be my answer) or a bit dated.

DESCRIPTION The grippy rubber and open spacing combine for a "hybrid" performance for the right rider. The softer knobs and carcass add to the suspension effect of the tire. Some liked this, others didn't. Resists spinning better than a knob and works better than a trials tire when spinning. Great durability for a tire with this soft rubber compound.

Just picked it up today, August 7, 2015. I had the shop install a FMF Power Core 4 pipe and FMF Programer before I picked it up. It runs well but I only put 40 miles on it. So far so good.

I love this thing. It cruises great on road and does even better off. She's a little heavy but if my 130 lbs can muscle her around you all will do great.

Work in progress. After years on quads I am getting back into bikes. I've had this XR for 7-8 years and it was used as a dirt bike only. It runs great but needs some TLC.
  13. I am going to replace my rear tire...I was bitching about the poor wear factor to a fellow rider, complaining about 5k max wear. He seemed astounded I got that....really?? Anyway I would like input on these 2 brands..Shinko 700 on it now...Not a pissing contest...like Joe Friday used to say in Dragnet..." just the the facts mam "

Decent bike with moderate power and sporty look, seems to have been built with a bit more emphasis toward off road then the dual sport bikes I have owned prior but with some personal preference type tweaks and some getting use to It shall suit my purpose.
