Please help I have a 2009 kx65 I replaced the top and bottom end and then replaced the entire clutch system except for the pressure plate (new basket, fiber and steel plates, springs, clutch cable and lever) first I bought everything for the clutch and let the plates soak until I bought the top and bottom end which was 8 months later, the plates soaked in rotella 15w 40 which was recommended by a friend of mine who has twoi sons who race competitively and are really good. I rebuilt the top and bottom put the new clutch in and now the bike starts and sounds great but when I put the bike in gear the back tire lurches forward about a half inch, you can tall it almost wants to take off but then just revs up! Even if I sit on the bike and release the clutch it doesnt stall the bike like it would normally do in any other bike. The clutch system is set up correctly per the clutch diagram, I do have movement on the plate going in and out when I take the springs out, the inner hub slins freely as should, I separated the plates just incase they were sticking.... I'm at a total loss

Just replaced the stator, coil and plug. Now my 12y/o can’t start it. I can start it in one kick but he no longer can. Seems like there’s more compression now and it’s occasionally backfiring or kicking back when starting. Timing off with the new stator? I put an aftermarket stator on it and it didn’t have timing marks so had to just approximate. Would’ve gone with an oem stator but they were backordered from Kawasaki until late June.

Hey so I’m going to check out a 1994 kx 125 with a nice motor other than a blown top end. I would like to know what years your can part match because it’s very tough finding parts for the 1994. I’m looking for crankshaft and possibly a big bore kit with the jug. Any help would be great please send an email @ arc1122oo4@gmail.com

Just got this bike for my daughter, stepping her up from her KLX110 to a true motocrosser. Not to the Lorretta Lynn's stage yet so being modded isn't an issue for a qualifier and this one's been built to hang with the KTM's. Can't wait to get her out to the track, pulls hard for a 65 with me on it. -

Well I made a bad purchase. 2003 kx 65 and it had a bad top end bottom end. I put new top end then realized the bottom was bad to later so tore it apart and put a hot rod crank and bearings and seals kit. Put it back together and it ran good. Put 4 heat cycles through it and on the 5th something weird happened. The bike started bogging on flat ground in 1st gear. I shut it off and when I went to kick it back on it would not start and makes a weird noise in the engine when I go to kick it. I’m not sure from where exactly but it is like a knock. And also sometimes it will act like it’s going to start for a second and then the kicker will kick back hard on your and not run. Any ideas?
