Daytona is considered by many to be the Premier Supercross event of the year - nothing against Anaheim or any other event. That said, what's considered to be the premier Outdoor Motocross event?? Lot's of contenders but none really stand out as the "if you can only make one race this year, you gotta make this race". This years contenders: Fox Raceway - Pala CA. Thunder Valley - Lakewood, CO High Point – Mt Morris, PA Southwick – Southwick MA Red Bud – Buchanan, MI Spring Creek – Millville, MN Washougal – Washougal, WA Unadilla – New Berlin, NY Budds Creek – Mechanicsville, MD Ironman – Crawfordsville, IN Pala – Pala, CA Hangtown – Sacramento, CA

Chances are that your gear is caked in mud by the end of the day. While a thorough cleaning is necessary, you run the risk of damaging the your outfit in the process. Alternatively, you don’t want to be wearing dirty gear because you’re afraid of ruining the material. Whilst you should always adhere to the specific washing labels your gear comes with, these tend not to be detailed. Luckily, there are basic guidelines you should follow while washing your gear to ensure you get maximum cleanliness with no harm done. Act fast Starting the process early is essential in cleaning your gear. Avoid crumpling your outfit as this allows the dirt to sink in. Instead, try to remove as much as dirt as you can before properly washing it. This can be done by hosing off the mud under a low pressure. For stubborn stains, use a soft brush with cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid using excessive force as this can deteriorate the durability of your gear. Oxygenated detergent You should be wary of using oxygenated detergent when washing your gear. While it’s useful for the extra lift it gives to stains, its active ingredients can dry out the leather knees. Over time, this will make them unsafe due to cracking and splitting. Turning your gear inside out and soaking with a mild, non-abrasive detergent is gentler than using oxygenated detergents without compromising on hygiene. Machine washing After removing as much dirt as you can, wash your gear in the machine under a cold wash and cold rinse. Some riders are tempted to pressure clean their gear or wash it under a more rigorous cycle, but this runs the risk of crumpling or fading your gear. It’s also powerful enough to push the oils out from the leather knees, compromising their flexibility. Also avoid washing your gear with bleach, as this will fade the colour. Drying Tumble drying your gear after it’s finished washing can ruin all the careful cleaning you’ve done to this point. Hang it to dry in a well ventilated area out of direct sunlight. This will allow the material to breathe and protect the colours from fading prematurely. After it's dry, pack away neatly and never iron it out as this can melt the fabric. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows how to take the powervalve governor out of a KTM/Husqvarna 85. I’ve bought a new spring for it and I don’t know how to fit it, I’ve heard the spring is in the same spot as in the bigger KTM’s but after I take the cover off the bolt underneath (pictured) just keeps turning. Does anyone know? Thanks heaps.

About 9 minutes into the film I saw that Mike has gone from rebuild stock suspension by MB1 to Öhlins suspension. Is the results going to change now that he is on factory suspension? I think the bike seems better anyway but the track is pretty smooth. Öhlins is a hard charger in the GPs and Zack Osbourne seems happy with his bike and it worked great in the SXs he attended earlier this season. What do you think, is MA going to take it to the next level with some good stuff on the bike?

How many rounds are there? I see sometimes they race in far away and remote (from Europe) places like Brazil - do the rounds outside of Europe even matter? Do all the racers actually go or just the bigger teams that can afford it? What is the season - like from what month to what month? Do any of the GP racers also race WEC? Are ever multiple races in just one country? Or is there only ever one race in any given country?

I cant seem to find it anywhere on my local listings. Does anyone know what channel and or time it comes on? Net says CBS sports but I don't see it

What brand has the most pro wins in the 250 class of all time? not 125's, 250f's...?

I have to admit, I'm getting pretty sick of the media, the riders, and even the fans (here mostly) complaining about every single track on the schedule. Even the vaunted stops like Red Bud, Unadilla, Washougal, and Southwick are not immune - it just never seems to stop. "The dirt is too hard." "It's too flat, no ruts." "It's too rutted out." "One line." "Not rough enough." "It's too rough." "It's too wet." "It's too dry." Etc, etc, etc. It's getting pretty old. Most of us would give our left legs to ride these tracks for fun, much less race them in a National, yet every single week there is bitching and complaining coming from all angles. I just don't get it. They race DIRT BIKES, not open wheel cars, bicycles, or Go Carts. They are meant to be ridden in the worst of the worst, the teams spend endless money testing suspension, tires, engines, set ups, all to get this stuff dialed in. My question is, what on Earth is the expectation coming into each round from all these people anyway? This is not SX (Not that the bitching stops during SX season either). Anyway, sorry for the rant, just getting tired of reading the same crap every week after the races. Not sure about you guys, but last weekend produced some great racing, as did Washougal, Unadilla, and many others. I for one enjoyed watching, and have nothing to complain about.

Ryan Dungey Is so talented on the track, however his off track chat / interveiws are so sweet and sappy I'm getting a cavity just listeing to him Jezzzzzzz ! say something REAL ! and interesting for a change. And for christ sake I wish this guy would come out of the closet. Imo

During 2013 James Stewart will retire It might be due to injury or the fact that he is out of Championship contention but he will quit before the year is over IMO
-
and then cairoili comes across and then the team is 2,22,222 powerhouse motosports. or is that a dream i just had
-
I wonder if Dungey is going to distance himself from Livestrong?
-
I was looking forward to the Pala race... of course I hadn't checked the schedule to see when it was. I figured it would be at the end of the season again. Crap! I am gonna miss those crazy high speed rollers
