  1. Blake Baggett looks to the future. Who rides for whom at this stage of the season is like knowing what’s under the Christmas tree in September — it doesn’t mean much until the package is actually opened. But, Mitch Payton told us that Blake Baggett will leave the Pro Circuit team to take a 450 ride at Yoshimura Suzuki. Baggett was in a good negotiating position because he was free to look for a new ride, while knowing that if he failed to get the gig he wanted that Mitch would take him back. What Baggett’s move to the previous one-rider Suzuki team (and all the bad press that they have engendered this season) is left to be sorted out in the near future. http://motocrossactionmag.com/home-page/weekend
  2. Interesting...very interesting. http://gatedrop.com/the-alessis-british-mxgp-shock/
  3. It's been awhile since someone did one of these threads. I'll start it off with a rider too many people have forgotten about!!
  4. Anyone catch what happened to him? Did he crash during the week? Goes from podium to 34-11?
  5. I think JB is starting to get his mojo back. Hope he can carry over last weekends success and bring Blue to the front of the pack. Peick will probably own his ass. Still be nice to see another Blue bike up front.
  6. I'm a little late on this news but a few months ago Marc De Reuver suffered a broken neck. His neck was severely broken, requiring two long surgeries in order to put bolts and screws around his vertebrae. He's out of the hospital, but it looks like the Dutch madman has ran his last race. It's nothing short of amazing that he's not paralyzed, because he broke his neck pretty badly at the GP of Germany in 2005. Tough guy... Before Herlings he was without a doubt the fastest sand rider in the world. He won quite a few mx1 and mx2 GP's and was often on the podium battling with Everts.
  7. Will Reed race outdoors? It doesn't look like he is, Josh Grant has been seen out testing and getting ready for outdoors, but no Chad sightings. I personally love to see him out there riding anytime, but hate to see him struggle so much these past two years outdoors. I've heard he's got a lower back problem now and might require surgery, I don't think a summer of pro nationals would do any good for that injury. I think he should take the summer off, then take one more shot at SX.
  8. The ONLY track on the entire circuit that he does not have an overall win at. Not in the 450 or 250 class. Is this the year or does Hangtown have his number again?

  10. ...after the first moto at Glen Helen he didn't mention JGR in the post race interview at all? I know he's not a guy that reads the pit board and thanks 15 different people, but he did mention his Autotrader Toyota Yamaha, and did thank Monster Energy for backing him. Is JGR not the main sponsor of that team now? Or, am I reading something into it that isn't there? (probably that) Phil Nicoletti did thank Coy Gibbs, but no mention at all from Barcia. I can see not thanking your sprocket sponsor, but your main one? Just curious.
  11. The 2015 450 outdoor mx title fight is clearly down a to a two horse race, who do you guys think will win? VS
  12. Is Eli Tomac faster than Villipoto at his fastest? Im a Villopoto fan but its hard to say he's not with the whoopens he's putting on Dunge and the rest.
  13. Alrighty then, Thankfully Supercross is over and we can get on with real dirt bike racing.... 😉 So, who's everyone got? I'm going Dungey for the 450, he just seems to be on fire atm. Bike, body, booty, he's got it all lined up and I think in the end none of the kids will be able to hang with him. 250's should be the series to watch - again. Martin, Webb, and Marv have to be the favourites with AC getting in there too once fit. Webb's a confident guy right now, and maybe Jmart will have some competition from his team mate? Personally if everyone is healthy, I think I have to go with the World Champ on that Orange bike - it's his year to wow. And Marv rips on a 125... What's not to like?
  14. Too bad, he was in the thick of the title chase. 😉 http://www.cyclenews.com/688/35126/Racing-Article/Motocross--Chad-Reed-To-Undergo-Shoulder-Surgery.aspx
  15. The word is out. Look for official press release soon http://motocross.transworld.net/news/the-buzz-twotwo-motorsports-closes/#oCmMAG4eCEc2zxY5.97 It’s been a rough year for Chad Reed and after numerous setbacks there is an air of uncertainty surrounding his privately funded TwoTwo Motorsports team. Over the past six months we’ve heard of talk that 2015 is his last full year on the circuit, that the team might make another change in motorcycle brands for next season, and even thoughts of sudden retirement from the professional circuit. These last few weeks have been particularly challenging, as Reed and teammate Josh Grant missed events due to injuries (Reed sat out New Jersey while Grant skipped three of the first five Nationals), Reed quarreled with MX Sports over the inability to promote new sponsor 360fly and their camera how he wanted, and then abruptly pulled out of moto one at High Point. Aside from his very frank interview with Steve Matthes following the Thunder Valley National, when the thirty-three-year-old stated he’s lost interest in the team and may pull the entire effort from the road, there’s been little straight talk from Reed. He’s taken to social media a handful of times recently, mostly with vague text and photos that bring even more confusion about the matter, but two particular posts hint the issue has reached its peak. In the past two days, Reed has mentioned a trip to Phoenix (home to sponsor Discount Tire) via Twitter and shared an image of an MRI machine on Instagram. Late Wednesday night we heard talk that Reed had shuttered TwoTwo Motorsports, effective immediately. On Thursday morning we spoke with numerous sources that work with the team and have learned the rumor is indeed true. Expect an official announcement to come from the Reed camp soon. UPDATE: We’ve learned that Reed does not plan to retire, but may surface aboard a Factory Yamaha backed bike at some point very soon. As for his large staff of talented technicians, they have already started the search for jobs within the industry. Philippaerts down in same incident, Cairoli riding injured with only partial feeling in hand, Tyla gone missing and didn't even make it to qualifying. Missing major riders, Desalle, Frossard, Boog, Guarneri, Searle. Pleasant surprise with Todd Waters stepping up, Possible French MXGP red plate holder on Sunday afternoon.
