    Revalve and Respring

Hey guys im looking to race motocross this summer and from what i hear the best money you can spend for your bike is getting your forks and shocks revalved and respung. With that being said i want to get this done but i really don't know much about this topic. I am 23 years old 215 lbs and only riding motocross. My bike is a 2013 CRF250R. Please share any information you can on this topic! Some things i would like to know is what company to go with and pricing and what exactly to ask for. Just want to be as knowledgable as possible before dropping a big load of cash. Thanks
  2. Ive read up on the bikes and am leaning towards a dr650 but I need to understand the regional dirt scene better to make a decision. Can I ride to some choice spots within say 1-1.5 hours of Long Island (where I work/live) or even (gasp!) ride dirt on LI? If not I'll have to plan on a trailer (and a lighter more dirt oriented bike). What kind of terrain and trails can I expect to encounter? I'd be more than happy tooling along on dirt roads but as a former mtn biker I'm not averse to single track (also at a slow-moderate pace). Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!

  6. $10!!! Ride out to the track, drop 10 bux & get a 20 minute session on the track, dual sport bikes ONLY for 20 minutes. We will close the track to race bikes at either 12 or 1pm. Meet up for breakfast, ride out to 100 Orchard Dr., Plattekill, NY on the scenic and entertaining roads of the Hudson Valley, walk the pits and ogle the trick bikes, watch some of the best riders from 4 to 60 years of age and then go out & bust some laps with your DS buds. After, grab a cold drink & take your time, hang out & BS, take the long way home & bench race all winter with the BMW GS rider you stuffed in the sand berm with your KLR! Maybe get your photo snapped by Nachtflug??? Post here if you are gonna head up & ride. I'll give a definitive time as soon as we get some feedback! Thanks!

  9. A compilation of some of the most exciting moments from the scramble. To me, the interesting parts are on 3:30 where a guy had crashed bad and 3:43 when a rider in front of me hits a tree. Overall a great race! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_Tf7bngrKc

    NewYork Walden Photos?

Anyone know who was taking pics? I did notice one guy but he never left what is possibly the absolute worst spot to take photos on the track the jump before and turn into the whoops? I snapped a few if anyone knws this fella [/img] Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  15. I just got home, track is wet, dark coffee color but not really muddy. Your foot goes in about an inch, its all hard underneath!!! We are waiting to cut it till the last minute, might even wait till tomorrow morning but it will be ready for racing!!! If we went out now & ripped, it would be just about perfect for riding RIGHT NOW!!! But fears of late heavy rains are holding us off. Don't fear the weather, its gonna be hot, really hot tomorrow and I'll bet the hoses will be on by 11:00.

NewYork Repair Shop Needed near NYC

Hey fellas, cheers as its my first post, im new to the sport and cant seem to find a reputable repair / service shop for moto-x bikes. I have a 2011 RMZ250f with some stalling issues and its at my local Suzuki shop that really doesn't deal with these bikes, along with the bike just sitting there for 3 weeks not touched. Im looking for a shop who can do major servicing such as repairing pistons/ clutches, and dial in my suspension along with really having experience with suspension and motors. Any leads? All help is appreciated thanks in advanced.

  22. There is a harescramble at Hogback Hill Motocross in Palmyra, NY on November 4th. This is a great event by a locally run club of riders. It's truly an event by the riders, for the riders. I am a member of this club but was riding this event long before that. This event inspired me to join the club - it's that good! For those unaware, Palmyra is about 30 minutes east of Rochester, NY and 45 minutes west of Syracuse, NY. Full details here: http://www.palmyramx.com/wordpress/2012/10/2012-harescramble/
