Pictures 1978 Yamaha DT175 Revived!!
Fat Thumb Enterprises posted a topic in Dirt Bike Pictures & Video
Was lucky enough to find this guy in a basement! I got it running on the original carb, a mikuni but couldn’t get the high jets and float correct. $30 eBay carb and it’s sooo fun to putt around on..... 6 gears! Gone through brakes (what little there is) and new sprockets/ chain. Also mixing my gas at 40:1, deleted the oil injection. What’s everyone think? -
This is my first top end rebuild. I just got the head off, cylinder and piston removed. There's definitely some wear on one side of the piston and cylinder. I'm replacing the piston, rings and head with a VHM. Should I be concerned about the wear in the cylinder? If so, would scotch bright suffice? Also, I gave the bike a good cleaning prior, but as more and more parts came off, it was apparent that things were still a little dirty. Can I clean the cylinder prior to putting it all back together. Lastly, the cylinder bolts were pretty corroded; well at least 3 out of the 4 were. Should I wire brush these? It'll be hard to keep junk from falling into the bottom end... The bike is a 2006 RM250 Thanks

Guy is selling this bad mamba jamba CRF450 fully loaded, and said that he balanced this bike on the back tire for this image. Short of a green screen and some amazing photoshop I can't see how else he could do it. Is it possible? Also pics or it didn't happen, I don't even believe this guy and I have the pictures.

These mirrors came on my 2016 CRF250L that I bought about two weeks ago. The previous owner fixed them up a little shotty since the threads were messed up on it. It broke off a couple days ago so i’ve been searching for a replacement but cannot find it anywhere. Anyone know what make or model these are as I want to get the same ones. Thanks!

A few of the old Yamaha enduros that I own ed -- and loved. You have to admit -- "enduro" is a much cooler-sounding name than "dual sport" . . .

Pictures Can anyone tell me about this bike?
Jerry Fizer posted a topic in Dirt Bike Pictures & Video
My Dad died last year and this is a picture of him back in his racing days. I tried to ask Mike Wolfe from American Pickers but he was not very generous with his time or info. I guess success reveals character. I hope I have better luck here. Anything would be helpful. Jerry Fizer -
13 now, KX85 BW. Starting to find the confidence as his technique improves. Been riding since he was 5. We don't race. Just ride for fun.

Hey guys just looking for a change. Any ideas on new plastics combos? I really dig the blue accents reminds me of older bikes. Just tired of stock plastics but not a fan of graphics kits.

Just as the title says... I enjoy looking through the rebuild threads, but what I love more than that is seeing the pics of the neglected machine giving a second chance to be cared for without having to read through 30+ pages to see them. So lets see the pics and give a slight description of what you found when you tore the bike apart.

This is by far my favorite Honda Wing and thanks to Manu Mertens at www.2Motors.be in Belgium, I found a better solution than I could have hoped for. I’ve also ordered his custom case guard which is made of stainless steel. They seem to be harder to find here and typically aluminum construction if you can still find one. Thanks Manu!

So I’m currently working on my CR 125 trying to make the bike look a little newer since I don’t want to let it go. I figured I’d post some pictures of what I’ve done so far. Just waiting on the red tank cover a new rims to be Laced up. I took some other peoples advice and cut those big ugly side panels. I’ll post some more pictures when the bike is completely done in a week or so

Pictures 2004 Kx125 engine in 2001 Rm125 frame
Mitchell17 posted a topic in Dirt Bike Pictures & Video
So a few months ago Me and my father bought this 2001 Rm125 frame with the intentions of just finding an engine for it and building it from the ground up. After reading about Suzuki’s apparent “chocolate transmissions” and not being able to find an engine i came across a 2004 Kx125 motor and decided to get it and see if we could make it work. I looked for hours online to try and find forums or some kind of information on how to go about doing this conversion, but never found anything, so I decided to show y’all what we’ve came up with... we started by dropping the engine in the bike and seeing how it lined up, surprisingly the top engine mount from the head can be used from the Rm125 frame. We added about a 5/8”-3/4” spacer between the left side of the engine and the swingarm and started cutting the old mounts off. Simply cut out and shaped new mounts and welded them in place. We used a 2004 Kx125 pipe and silencer and bent the top mount down on the pipe and ran a bracket from the tank mount to the pipe to hold it in place, also the Rm125 rubber bracket at the bottom will work with alittle finagling. Next was fitting the radiators, the stock 2001 Rm125 rads will not work as they are too long and hit the pipe. We used the stock 2004 kx125 radiators, using the bottom radiator mount and cutting off the top mount and re- welding it a bit foward and lower to accommodate the 2004 kx125 radiators. I do not have any pics of the silencer mount but all we did was make our own angled bracket from the stock silencer mount on the frame to our silencer mount...The engine is currently being rebuilt and when I get it back I will be doing allot more work to the bike, if people show interest I will post more pics once I get it going! -
Lots of cool pics in the California threads, lets start one for Michigan.

Hey guys i have a super clean ttr125e and i’ve never had any problems with it, electric start and kick start, the thing is turn key reliable and doesn’t skip a beat, i am the 3rd owner and have had it for about a year, TITLE IN HAND, the bike is 100% stock besides the bar pad, has fresh oil - spark plug - and air filter in it and it is ready to go! I’m looking to trade for a klx/ttr/drz/crf 110 and the price is negotiable if you would like to buy it. Hit me up with what you have and i do have a walk around video of the bike with a cold start. I know this isn’t a bike selling or trading app just i really just want to get it out there if someone might be interested and lives in the socal area i’m located in temecula and would be willing to meet if anyone wants to check it out. $2,800 obo pictures are from day of post 11/27
