Full FMF exhaust (powerbomb/powercore); AIS delete; Carb rejetted; R&D PowerBowl 2; -1 front sprocket; Custom Clutch E-Z. Love this bike, runs perfect now. Lots of power, but geared for anything I need it to do.

Works well for a plated dirt bike. I ride it all over in places where if it broke down I would be SOL and it gives me no problems. I just wish it were a little lower. Added Hotcams stage one cams, CW 269 kit, FMF pipe, UFO rear fender and light, brake light switches, shaved seat, TT Vapor, floated ground DC electrics with small L ION battery. SOLD to a friend June 2014, I'm sure I will regret selling.

After a few upgrade and the free mods the WR250F is a formidable opponent. It's easy to ride, great low end, and comfortable. Even though I'll be riding the 250 vs. 450's in my class I don't find it to be a disadvantage riding through obstacles and tight trails. The electric start is also a nice feature when riding the hare scramble, enduro''s, and GNCC's.

Great little bike. Mine is plated, has a Baja Designs DS kit, a kid plate, JD jet kit, and a pro Moto Spark Aresstor insert. I have had it almost six years (bought 10/07 to today, 6/13) and it has been flawless. No fun on the road over 50 but terrific in the woods for plonking about.

So far seems great for a trails/woods bike, little lacking on power but maybe bigger sprocket can fix that.

  24. Hi all. Recently had my front sprocket blowout on my 04 wr250f Yamaha while out for a ride and it’s totally busted all that remains is what’s clamped by the countershaft nut. Anyhow looking to replace it have already purchased new chain and sprockets to fit have put the new rear on tyre but can’t seem to get the front one off being a rekluse clutch when attempting to loosen the front sprocket even in gear the countershaft spins out. Yet to try holding the rear brak lever while trying to do so but also wondering if anyone knows about doing this procedure on a rekluse clutch bike? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  25. In the market for a new or used 250 enduro bike. I'll be 80% trail, 20%light MX. Factors important to me in this order: Suspension, plush/responsive, adjustable Price Maintenance/reliability Electric AND kickstart would be nice Weight The KTM has a mystique about it. It has a rep for parts being more expensive than the others. Most expensive of the bunch. For the XCFW, I like the "woods" tranny low 1st and 2nd gear for climbs but not the idea of the PDS rear shock. Prefer linkage on the XCF The Honda and Yamaha are heavier than the KTM by about 23lbs. The Honda is listed as having adjustable fork. IDK about the others. Yahama has the ti valves, nice touch. Is there a current shift shaft and impellar issue? It seems maybe on the Yamaha forums. Uh, the KTM is sweet. I'm seeing orange... Any experiences to share or advice? Thanks.
