  1. This guy on facebook is selling a 2004 RMZ 250 for 1800$ newbie into dirt biking what are some questions i should ask about the bike other than hours?
  2. hi everyone i have problem with my apollo rxf 125 i opend the carb and cleen it and put every thing togheter and closd it and i go to a ride but after 2 hours of riding the bike starts to back fire like crazy and after i came home and tryd to start it its just started to leak gas from the carb and don't want to start whats can be the problem?
  3. So I have an issue, I recently rebuilt my yz125 and then engine got taken out. The motor runs fine just like before but the clutch doesn’t. The actuator arm which is moved by the clutch lever on the handlebars keeps returning to the wrong position and isn’t activating the clutch making it separate. The clutch lever is loose and doesn’t have the clutch feel. Not too sure what’s going on here with the actuator arm but I need to figure it out. If anyone can provide some help that would be greatly appreciated!! As you can see the actuator arm is in more of a 1:00 position rather than the 3:00 or the 90° position it’s supposed to be in.

So I was just given a 1974 Suzuki ts 185 by a buddy of mine it ran 10 years ago I just got it running again but the rear sprocket is loose and has a lot of play in it how would I go about fixing it, it also hasn’t had the clutch fluid touched in about 10 years is there anyway to check how low it is, and if anyone has any info on a place where I can get parts for cheap because I grew up working on newer bikes with my dad so I know about newer bikes but nothing about older bikes. I’m planning on trying to get it street legal all it has rn is a head light and one reflector everything else is gone but it has all of the mounts and wiring has a tachometer and a speedometer but neither work I have no title and I can get a bill of sale any help would be greatly appreciated.   5. I’m a teenage girl and new to riding dirt bikes but I have previously rode atvs for fun. When I would ride the atvs I would just wear a helmet which I don’t think was the safest or the same as a dirt bike. I’m not exactly sure what is a must for riding and staying safe so I figured I would ask for some help on here. I will mostly be riding through grass or farm fields, and dirt/mud/tree trails. So far I’ve been looking at a fox v2 mips helmet and I already have a pair of gloves. I can spend some money but don’t want to be spending a fortune when I’m not that into it yet but also don’t want to be going to the hospital in the first few times I ride my bike either. I’m just looking for some advice on what is a must have and what isn’t really needed to stay safe and be comfortable when riding. Any other tips to a beginner will be helpful too! Thanks to everyone that helps!
  6. Ok so I have a 2000 ktm 125 sx and need to rebuild the lower, I can only find rebuild kits for 2001 engines will they work?
  7. i got this 2005 kx85a last Novemberish and i only paid 250 for it and he said all it needed was some clutch work. i ended up reringing and getting a gasket kit for it just to be safe and i had to replace a shifter spring. when i was assembling it i realized there was a totally different crankshaft in it and it was putting the rotor in the wrong spot so it wouldn't spark on time once i had it back together. besides the rotor keyway placement, everything was fine with the crankshaft. i just ended up getting a rotor that i think is the same year as the crankshaft so that it would theoretically work. i believe the crankshaft is from a 2009 or a 2007. note that the stator is close to the same position or even the same on the three years of the bike (2005, 2007, 2009). so what it's doing now is it runs but it bogs down in the lower end of first gear and it sounds really weak. i have to feather the throttle for a couple seconds to get it up into higher rpms. but once it's in higher rpms it runs fine and it has lots of power. but when it gets back down to lower rpms it can barely continue driving. i can get it to idle fine when it's warmed up. so i'm guessing it's timing and i've already tried to adjust the stator position but not a lot of luck. i'm not sure if it's bored out so i'll have to check because it might have the wrong size jets in the carburetor for the bore. but i doubt it is bored over. if anyone has any help i would be glad to listen:)
  8. I have been having the hardest time trying to get this thing to start. I replaced the crank shaft, connecting rod, and piston. No scratches in the jug. I have 110psi of compression. The starter coil has .5 ohms of resistance. Replaced the spark plug and tested for spark. Cleaned the carb and trued starter fluid. Any suggestions?
  9. I just started working on a trx450r I believe it is a 2005. It has the older carb as well. It sat for a while so I went in a rebuilt the carb and went to check the valves. The exhaust valves were alright but the intake had no clearance and had a 120 shim in it so there is no adjustment. So then I threw it together and went to take it around the block. Runs great when cold but as it gets hot it has a bog like reaction if I go past 1/4 throttle no matter what. But it runs great when cold. I’ve been told this is valve float and is actually common on these. Just want to make sure before I go out and spend 500 to get new valves and seats. Either way though I’ll have to get a head job done :(
  10. Ok so I broke my foot and I wanna keep riding don’t want anything crazy I was on a 250r I can’t afford to break again so lookin for more trail type bikes but still want some power open for 2 or 4 strokes suggestions? I’m 5’8
  11. Hello dear forum , I'm back with some questions ... Could i found a low maintenance dirt bike (400/450 4T OR 250 2T) ? I'm going to ride fields and much like trail riding but I want a low maintenance schedule..... Is that possible ? Possibly Enduro ? Thanks in advance @_@

Hi so I was wondering if I could swap a 1989 honda xr250r engine into my 1986 xl250r the mounting points seem to be the same but I could also see some other differences like clutch cable mounting points and decompression cables points let me know if any of you guys know anything thanks, chandler
