Hello I have a ktm 125 XCW 2018. I recently got a top end rebuild done by a professional mechanic. Everything was up to spec and fine tuned. I had ridden it quite easy for the first few 2-3 hours. Letting it idle, driving it at low rpms clicking trough all the gears and after all this I just played with the rpms a little. after 5 hours I started giving it some more gas and staying in those high rpms for longer. First ride, rode it pretty hard, no problems. Second ride, warming it up properly. Hitting the first off-road road and just pinning it and clicking trough the gears, properly. After idk 500 meters, boom engine dead. No compression. Everything I checked and was good: - Coolant - Airfilter - 1:50 oil to fuel ratio - warmed up properly And I’m sure there are others things that I checked and forgot. Here is the video of it blowing up on me. Please do not use the video without permission. my question is why did it blow up? I need to learn from this since it’s my first 2 stroke and I don’t want to make the same, costly, mistake again.

At the moment I’m in an 85 big wheel and can easily flat foot both feet. I would prefer a 125 but not many are available, whereas 250F’s on the other side are looking closer to my price/availability range than 125s. My only hold back in a 250 is would it be too heavy? I weigh approx 130 lbs (60kgs) and am around 5’9. Would I also be better if adjusting the shock and forks on my 85 and stick with that for longer. Any help would be appreciated

Just out of interest, I ride a 2012 yz85 big wheel, and I have just turned 13 but im quite tall (5'7) and weigh around 55 kilos (120lbs). I have had the bike for about 8 months now and want to move to a newer model 85. I was wondering if it would be worth hunting the market for another one or just to stick with what i have got. The main reason i want to move up a couple of years is because parts are so much easier to find. I don't race mx (don't have the time) but ride trails and on practice tracks. Id appreciate any info. ??

Okay so I just bought an 09 125sx for trail riding and want to add a larger tank. Unfortunately an over sized tank is anywhere from 230 - 300$. So I thought about buying a used one off ebay, does anyone know if 200/250/300 exc fuel tanks are compatible from the same year or what other years are compatible with it?

I have a 2002 Ktm 125 sx here the stator keeps burning out on it, I first bought the bike with no spark and thought it was the cdi that was making it have no spark so I bought a cdi unit for it and the bike still had no spark so i bought a brand new stator, then it burnt out, I read online that the coil can back back too much current causing the stator to burn out so I then got a new coil for it and had to purchase a new stator ?and then tried them all together new cdi new stator new coil and YES the stator burnt out again ? does anyone know what to do from now I am debating to just take it to a shop ?

I have a 07 YZ 125 that's been collecting dust for the past 8 years. I'm looking to get back into mx, so I'm thinking of getting a new bike or rebuilding my YZ. I've considered the KTM 150 SX but am heavily leaning towards the 125. My YZ is in decent shape but I want that new bike feel. I'm contemplating on doing a full rebuild on the 125: engine, wheels, body, suspension revalve, controls and other pieces. What I'm looking to do will probably cost me around $4k, roughly. The new KTMs are around $7600 OTD last time I priced them in Texas a few months ago. If I take that $4k and sell my YZ I'd have a little over $6k. What should I do? Buy a new bike or rebuild? If I buy a new KTM I'd wait for the 19 model. (I don't race, just ride for fun)

Does anybody know of any wireless headlights that mount where your number plate goes where you don't have to wire anything? Kind of just like push a button and it turns on type of light thing? I would also need it to fit my 03 cr125. Thanks for looking!
