  1. Hello all, I currently live in Phoenix Arizona and I am having problems with my 2006 KX450F backfire. Its rides perfectly fine and has all the power in the world, does not lack on the responsive side at all. But whenever I engine break I pop A LOT. "Poppopopopopopopopopop" and its whenever I am slowing down after either going fast or slow. I want to know how to stop that, I understand that some popping is okay, but its a lot, spits fire sometimes after going fast. I am not sure what current jets I have in the bike, because the previous owner did not know, but I am thinking of going to a 180 main jet, 42 pilot, 55 leak jet (from 70 stock), throttle clip position 4th from the top, and 2 turns out on the fuel screw. I have heard a lot of people changing the leak jet from 70 to 55 helps a lot overall. I am not sure on what to use for the elevation wise on the jets. I have tried to lean and richen the fuel screw before but nothing has happened. Any suggestions of what I should do? Just thinking of getting JD Jetting kit and going from there.

    Riding Buddy in Arizona

Here's the deal.. I'm visiting my mom for the next month or so and probably will be coming a couple times a year to visit.. Since I don't live here I don't really have a bike so looking to see of maybe anyone has a spare bike and needs a riding buddy. If i can find something cheap i may willing to pick it up just so i can ride where im here. I'm more than happy to help pay for gas or any other expenses. I have a car and can move around freely and have a bunch of spare time for the next month. I'm also decent with a wrench so willing to help work on your bikes or really anything. I just love riding and need to make some friends here . I ride woods/trails back home where I live in Belize.. I literally ride daily unless the bike is being worked on 7 Little about myself. 26 year old dude. Into sports and pretty much anything outdoors. Hunting fishing shooting guns camping whatever.. I love dirt riding. Rode about a year or two or track when I was younger. Then picked up another bike about a year and a half ago.i ride a yz450f so know what it's like jumping on a stallion... I'm experienced enough not to trash your bike and shouldn't hold u back. And I'm not broke so if I break something I'll pay for it. I understand this sport is expensive and it's a big risk to let some random dude on ur bike. I'm a decent rider for sure. I mean I crash every now and again but I've never seriously injured myself or screwed up a bike. I'm very level headed and know not to go too far out of my comfort zone or ride too far above my skill level. That said; I shouldn't hold u back on the trails or anything like that unless you are keeping her pinned on rev limited the whole time.
  3. I have watched Washington State change over the years and being at a place in my life where all I want to do is ride trails, I am considering leaving Washington State. Where would you move to if you were set up in life and all you had to do was to enjoy the next 30 years riding trails? Your help is greatly appreciated. I have 3 places in mind, what say you guys? Where would you go? My ideal riding is technical single track. For instance I love little Naches, Tahuya obviously and Shelton areas. Thanks everyone who chimes in, much appreciated. PS. Pics are a huge bonus.
  4. Like the title says I'll be visiting my parents around the holidays and want to get out and ride at least one day if not two. I've read up on some riding areas, wildcat and boulder primarily that look like they'll be fun. Looking for any local knowledge on riding areas or people that want to meet up and ride. Mid pack C rider on a 2T. Don't mind chasing fast riders (actually preferred) if you don't mind waiting at intersections lol. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
  5. Hey guys, I am looking at a 2005 CRF250x that has a Arizona license plate on it. I was wondering if anybody could help me. My understanding is, from looking on forums and calling AAA, I all I need is the title of the bike from the owner and to get a VIN inspection by the DMV. The guy said the bike is registered until September 2020 in Arizona. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  7. ARIZONA - BLM Announces Travel Management Planning Open House Meetings Greetings BRC Action Alert Subscribers, The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites the public's participation in the review of the Kingman Field Office Travel Management Plan and Environmental Assessment. The BLM will be hosting a series of open houses to show the public proposed route designations and ensure that the public has the ability to review the proposed designations prior to BLM making a final decision. The open houses will allow the public to comment on the proposed designations in order to make sure BLM gets it right. Attendance and participation in this review is crucial, especially for the users as you all are most familiar with the trails you use! Travel management is an approach to establishing networks of roads for travel and transportation including areas for both motorized and non-motorized uses. Travel management planning is necessary for designating and providing appropriate access to and across public lands for a variety of uses. This Travel Management Plan and Environmental Assessment includes Bagdad, Black Mountains, Cerbat Mountains, Crozier, Goodwin Mesa, Hualapai Mountains, Music Mountains and Poachies. It will also include the White Hills Travel Management Areas and encompasses Kingman, Bullhead City, Golden Valley, Chloride, Wikieup, Bagdad, Meadview, Dolan Springs, White Hills, and Wayside in Mohave, Yavapai and La Paz counties. During the three (3) open house meetings, maps of the proposed travel network and other alternatives will be available for review. BLM staff will be available to answer questions and receive comments on the project. The open houses will be held August at the following locations. August 21, 2018, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Hualapai Elementary School, 350 Eastern Street, Kingman, AZ August 22, 2018, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Suddenlink Community Center, 2380 Suddenlink Way, Bullhead City, AZ August 23, 2018, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Owens School, 14109 Chicken Springs Road, Wikieup, AZ The public comment period will be for a period of 30-calendar days from August 20 to September 18, 2018. More information can be found on-line at: https://go.usa.gov/xUsPq If you wish to remain on the project mailing list and made aware of the documents' availability, please notify them by email to blm_az_kfo_tmp_comment@blm.gov. If you have questions, please contact Matthew Driscoll, Outdoor Recreation Planner at (928)718-3736 or mdriscoll@blm.gov. 8. I'll be relocating to the Phoenix area pretty soon here (probably somewhere around the Glendale area). I've searched around and have found a couple of tracks in the area (ACP, Canyon, ET, MC Motorsports in Tuscon, etc.); I imagine I'll check all of those tracks out and figure out a "main" one where I will probably run practice most often. However, where does everyone race around here? I haven't seen much in way of race schedules (maybe it's a time of year thing?). Also, pretty much every race around me now is AMA sanctioned; is that less common out in AZ (though I did see a LLAQ scheduled back in Feb)? I didn't search very hard, but I couldn't find an AMA district for motocross in AZ. To be clear, I'm a C rider/working professional (maybe will someday make the jump to B). I race for fun though I will make an honest effort to win of course. As a result I'm looking for race series that have good competition and turnout, but I'm not looking at a future as a pro racer so I don't necessarily need to be entering strictly AMA events (it's just the format that I'm already familiar with). Thanks! -RageD

arizona Easy places to ride in Arizona.

To make a long story short I just moved back to Arizona after living in Hawaii for the past few years and I bought myself a used 08 KTM 250 SX. I haven't ridden a bike in roughly 3 years since my first bike was stolen while I was living in Hawaii. Anyways, I didn't have a bike when I lived here in AZ before so I am trying to figure what some good places to ride are. I am mostly interested in desert riding and preferably areas or trails that would be more beginner friendly. I didn't have a huge amount of time in the seat prior to my last bike getting stolen, so I want to take things nice and slow at first while I get back into the groove of things. I currently live in Wickenburg, so anything close by would be a definite plus. I had heard there are places to ride out towards vulture mine here in Wickenburg, but I have also heard you may need a permit of some kind to go there because its state trust land? Any info on this would be helpful as well. Thank you in advance.

  14. hey guys.... I will be riding for 5 days in Boulder OHV Park Arizona with my East Coast woods bike in January. Just wondering if my go to tire setup will be sufficient or if any desert riders recommend something else. I am real confident in this setup for PA rocks/roots and just raced some NJ sand/loam and was also very happy. REAR: Shinko 505 Cheater (knobby gummy tire) / FRONT:Bridgestone M59 - Designed for soft to medium terrain Both with tubliss filled with tire slime, varying pressure. Cannot wait to hit the trail out there! Thanks in advance!

  16. Hey guys! So I haven't been on a dirtbike in about 6 years and finally picked up another one. I went to Payson yesterday with a few buds and found a decent spot! Please share your other good riding spots in or around payson (wooded areas)! Here's the spot we went, you have to head northwest to find the trails- https://goo.gl/maps/cwabBx1kUoJ2
  17. Looking to go somewhere WARMER weekend after next. What are some good suggestions for this time of year. Superstitions, that area or around there. Non moto, we just want to camp and hike and get out of the cold for a long weekend. Less people the better. Any suggestions?
  18. Alright everyone, I am yet another rider that has recently moved to AZ ! I am in Goodyear and still unpacking have haven't had much chance to look for areas to ride. I have looked up the local motocross tracks but have no idea where to ride either in the desert or single track. Still like to moto now and again, but the bike is set-up for trails so I don't moto very often. Nevertheless, will probably get a bit more serious about riding in a couple of weeks once the house and garage are in order. Looking forward to meeting some new friends and also finding new places to ride. CLIFF
