  2. I just picked up a 2016 TE 125 and although the 2.9 gal tank is big, it is not big enough. I have found a lot of 3.1 gal tanks but was hoping someone has found something a little bit bigger. Brand names have never been a big deal to me so any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

FE 250 Mounted Enduro 2 Class Riders Secures Hard-Fought Double Podium Result SPOLETO, ITALY – May 28, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Pascal Rauchenecker has finished on the podium and in third position on both days of competition at round three of the 2017 EnduroGP World Championship, the EnduroGP of Italy in Spoleto. Battling with Spain’s Josep Garcia and Britain’s Jamie McCanney from the start of day one, Pascal topped the extreme test on laps one and two to keep himself in contention for the class win. Keeping up the pressure during the third and final lap he eventually finished third and just 9.22 seconds from the top step of the podium. Determined to improve his result on day two Pascal made a strong start during the opening lap before again posting the fastest time during the extreme test on laps two and three. Although not quite able to close the gap to Garcia and McCanney ahead of him, he nevertheless secured a second hard-fought podium result in third and sits fourth in the Enduro 2 championship standings, just 12 points from third. Competing alongside Pascal in the E2 class, Danny McCanney battled through the GP of Italy to finish with sixth and fifth place results. Making a number of small but costly mistakes early on day one, Danny topped the extreme test on the closing lap to finish less than one-second behind fifth placed Manuel Monni. Improving one position to fifth on day two, Danny struggled to find his rhythm on the long enduro test early in the day. MXGP and MX2 Team Riders Wrap Up Their Pre-Season Racing Activities on a High Note in France February 12, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing riders have concluded their pre-season racing activities in style during the 2017 edition of the Lacapelle Marival International Motocross event in France, collecting three top three moto results. With the hard-packed circuit in the south of France hosting the final international race before the start of the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship, the event proved to be the ideal warm-up for the 19-round-long season that kicks off on February 25. Enjoying a good day of racing in front of his home fans, Gautier Paulin delivered strong performances in each of the three motos he contested. In his first race on hard-packed terrain the FC 450 mounted Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider put in a strong opening moto performance to finish third. Wrapping up the event with seventh in moto two and 10th in the Superfinal, Gautier now looks forward to the start of the MXGP season in two weeks’ time. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Max Nagl landed in Lacapelle Marival with one goal in mind – to make the most of his time on the French track and to test different bike settings in real racing conditions. Wrapping up the event with 9/15/11 results the German rider ended the day satisfied with his progress and speed. Working hard to improve some minor details, Max Anstie’s highlight for the day was a seventh place result during the opening MX1 moto. Third out of the gate in the opening moto, the American suffered a few small mistakes that dropped him to seventh. Finding himself in the provisional runner-up spot in moto two, Thomas went on to take the lead of the race before further mistakes dropped him to fourth. He placed fifth overall in the MX2 class. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team riders will now head to Qatar for the start of the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship on February 25/26. Gautier Paulin: “It was good to race in front of my home fans. It was my first race in hard-packed terrain aboard the FC 450 and I felt we made some great progress. My highlight for the day was the opening MX1 moto, where I managed to get third. Overall, what I definitely take out of this race is the fact that now I feel a lot more confident to push in any kind of condition on my new bike. All the members of the team have been giving their best since day one and now I’m a lot more familiar with the bike. The MXGP season that starts in two weeks will be a long one. The goal is to take one moto at a time and push hard to reach the top.” Max Nagl: “This weekend we decided to focus on testing different race set-ups without overly stressing ourselves about the results in any of the motos. Our goal was to try new things and see what suits us the most. I’m really happy that we managed to find a really good set-up that we tried during the combined MX1/MX2 Superfinal. Most probably this will be our base set-up for the opening round of the MXGP series in two weeks’ time. The plan now is to take some time off the bike so that both physically and mentally I’m 100% ready for the Qatar GP.” Max Anstie: “It might not have been the perfect day for me, but overall I felt we took some more steps in the right direction. My goal for the weekend was to try new things with the bike and with my riding on the big FC 450, and I’m glad everything worked well. It was a great training event and a good way to wrap up our pre-season preparations before Qatar. With the racing now done, we have two weeks to perfect some small details. The work never stops so we will try to make the most of the time left to get the best out of the bike and myself before the start of the MXGP season.” Thomas Kjer-Olsen: “It was a good day and a great event. We got two good starts and that was very important. Overall, I’m happy I showed once again I can battle for the top. In the opening moto I got a good start but had a small crash in the back part of the track that dropped me to 10th. I got back on the bike and started passing people to finish sixth. Considering the track was one-lined, I think it was great I could make passes. Then in moto two I had another good start and battled my way to third at the chequered flag. We will continue working hard and I’m really looking forward to the start of the World Championship in Qatar.” Conrad Mewse: “I felt good on my bike this weekend. All the hard work during the winter is slowly paying off. I know the speed is there and I now need to work on some small details such as my starts. I had a good jump out of the gate in the opening moto and pushed hard to end third. I missed the start in moto two and had to work my way from outside the top 10 to eighth. I feel that we made some good progress in that kind of hard-packed terrain. We still need to work more in fine-tuning our set-up and suspension, but we now have a good base for the first GP of the season in Qatar.” Thomas Covington: “I’m satisfied with the progress made this weekend. Despite not having fully recovered from my sickness I raced two strong motos to get 7/4. Unfortunately, in the Superfinal I felt the effects of my illness and decided not to take any unnecessary risks.   8. Hey guys new member to tt but have found lots of helpful info here before. So i have a couple questions i was hoping the community could help with. I just bought a 2017 husqvarna fe 350 i have only put like 2 hrs on it and like it so far but its definatly chocked off with the smog junk and the airbox reeds after the first hour of break in i put on the fmf 4.1 slip on thats all ive done so far and the pipe definatly made an improvment but now i have a some decel poping telling me its running lean. My question is, what map r ppl running ive herd the euro map works good but the dealer is saying theyve had mixed reviews. I plan on de smogging it probably get the bds emmissions delete kit. Setting it up mainly for woods but would also like to get some sm wheels eventualy. Any suggestions or tips espically by some one with the same bike or 250 would be mega thanks n cheers tt
  9. I have a 2010 husky te250 four stroke. Bike has always ran perfectly, and recently has had a new battery put in. The bike was working 3 weeks ago when I took it for a quick spin in the court. It had to be roll started as the battery was dead? Worked fine once running. Again two weeks ago I tried starting it. No good. Now the bike has no sound of the fuel pump working, nor does it kick over when the electric start button is pressed. Dashboard also doesn't turn on, but does show the general start up lights but after a few shorts seconds it shuts off. Battery is charged to 12 volts and works in another dirt bike (te310 2010). I've checked for loose wires and haven't found any. However the lights all still turn on when the ignition key is turned. Any advice or solutions are welcome, please help so I can get back out on some aussie trails asap!

As I was inspecting my new-to-me bike that I just purchased, I noticed there is a grove on the back side of my front brake rotor that goes completely around it, and you can feel it with your finger nail. I have noticed some poor performance, but I figured it was because of the new pads that the previous owner installed just before I bought it hadn't seated yet. However, I've ridden a couple times and it doesn't seem to get much better, if any better at all. Is that enough to explain why when I pull in the brake as hard as I can, it only slows me down a little, instead of going into a stoppie and over the bars (as I wish it would)? Should I look into buying a brand new rotor? I have no pictures of it, I'll try to post some when I can.

Hello all, I just recently bought a 1999 Husqvarna WR250, It has some problem with the clutch, so its got a new clutch cable which i have no issues with, but when I start the bike and put it into 1st it will stall unless im giving it some gas, as soon as I am riding and stop giving it gas even with clutch pulled in it will die unless im in 'N', and sometimes not every time but pretty often when i go into first and give it some gas again with the clutch lever pulled in I will roll forward. So im pretty new to dirt bikes and such, but i've read up online and some people it say a plate in the clutch area can get chewed up and it won't disengage properly, some say i need a new clutch, or an adjustment somewhere else, so finally my questions -Is there an adjustment not related to the clutch cable that i can try to make? -parts for my bike seem few and far between is there a bike out there that has the same clutch so if i need new plates and such i can get them from another bike? Seriously thanks for any help, looking forward to fixing this and really enjoying some dirt biking!! Thanks.

  16. KTM chose a paper air filter for the 690 Enduro R and Husqvarna 701 Enduro. But, is that the right filter media for your riding conditions? It very will might be! Paper flows great (when relatively clean), they are not messy to install, and you just toss em' when at the end of their useful life.     KTM 2-stroke Overheating

    I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. My 2010 KTM 250 XC won't stop peeing coolant out of the overflow tube. I've used 3 different radiator caps (two of the oem 1.8 bar caps and one CV4 2.0 bar) and it still continues to pee coolant as soon as the bike starts up. I just recently bought and installed brand new radiators [GPI on eBay for $88 (the seem fine just the welds are a bit crappy and you can see inside of the tubes where the metal from the welds drooped down but there are no blocks)] and silicone hoses (profactory hoses) thinking they were the problem since the old radiators were bent in like bananas. To my dismay that was apparently not the issue. I've had everything apart and looked at. Has brand new base gaskets, head gaskets, radiators, and radiator hoses. I've bled the radiators like the manual says and there are no bubbles like air leaking into the system or being in the system. The jetting is also perfect. The only thing I haven't changed out is the oem impeller in the water pump but it looks to be in great condition. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem before it gets worse? Also, has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to fix it? I ride it in mostly tight 0-10 mph trails and also some 10-20 mph trails.

  19. Hi guys, I have a 2014 Husqvarna te300, and I’ve noticed that when filling the bike back up with gear oil it only seems to take about 650ml before oil starts coming from the drain plug?! Just wondering why this is considering the Manuel says 800ml. And yes I have my bike flat on a bike stand and yes all the old oil is out I left the drain bolt out over night as I installed a helicoil kit for the drain bolt. Any positive input would be much appreciated, should I just do as the Manuel says about the 800ml or also do what the Manuel says about the oil check bolt? 😂
  20. Hey guys, I was hoping some of you could help me out. Recently my bike (2010 KTM 250 XC) started overheating a lot. As soon as it got up to temperature it would start peeing coolant out of the overflow tube. I changed out the stock 1.8 radiator cap for a CV4 2.0 radiator cap. Still continued to pee it out. I went through and checked the head and cylinder to see if they were warped. They are not and I also changed the base gaskets and head gaskets. Still continued to pee out. I bought and swapped out new over-sized radiators, new silicone hoses, and a new billet aluminum water pump impeller. Flushed the system and filled it with Engine Ice antifreeze at about 1/4" above the fins. It still continues to pee out. I've heard different things about how the reeds could be causing it and also my jetting could. My jetting is set up perfectly for my weather and where I ride, and my reeds looked fine on inspection. The only thing I have not checked is my clutch pack. It has some chatter and when the bike is cold it shifts pretty hardly into first gear on the first initial take off. In fact it shifts so hard it lurches forward and wants to die and I have to give it a little throttle or it will. (Also, if the bike is in gear on the trail and I pull in the clutch and try to hit the e-start the clutch doesn't engage until I give it a little throttle). I run what the manual recommends for oil (Motorex 15w-50) and at the right amount. I also changed it about 2 hours ago. Since that is the only part of this bike I haven't really looked at I was just wondering since all of that other stuff didn't seem to work, could my clutch be causing the overheating issue?

    April 2, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – American MX2 star Thomas Covington has claimed an impressive overall MX2 class win at the GP of Leon, collecting a fourth place result and a race win at the rough Mexican track. In what was a great GP for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing, Gautier Paulin earned a podium result getting third overall in MXGP class. Confident of strong results at a track where the American had earned his first GP victory in 2015, Covington didn’t fail to deliver in Leon. The weekend started with Thomas getting a convincing qualifying race win to place himself on pole position for MX2’s final motos. Getting a good jump out of the gate in the opening moto, Covington found himself in sixth at the end of the first lap. Making some crucial passes he crossed the line fourth. With his FC 250 machine powering him to the holeshot in moto two, Thomas made a smart and well-calculated race. Following Pauls Jonass for the first six laps, he made a successful move for the lead on lap seven and never looked back. Earning 43 points from the GP of Leon Covington climbed to eighth in the provisional MX2 championship standings.     Is this a good deal?

    Found a 2009 Husqvarna SM510R with 4700 miles on it for $4,000 and it is in mint condition. This will be my first bike and I heard about the maintenance schedule such as oil changes, the oil filter changes, and valve timing. What do you guys think about it?
  25. Recently bought a Husky WR 125 the one without restrictions. Since this is my first two-stroke I need some questions answered, a big thanks to all people that spend their own time to help me. This bike was ran 50:1 so 20ml of oil per litre of fuel. It ran ok when started but never wanted to idle it would just cut straight out not BOG but just die I winded out the mixture screw completely and it still wouldn't start the only time I actually got it to start is if I hold the throttle open about a 1/4 of a turn and it would start up on the second kick sometimes lucky on the first. Because it's road legal I spend a lot of time at traffic lights which meant I had to keep the throttle steadily open so the bike would keep running, if I let go of the throttle it would just die. I recently switched oils from Motorex to Castrol but still rocking the 50:1 ratios. After every ride I have to clean the swing arm and exhaust tip because of black spooge. Earlier today I set out and 30 seconds down the road the bike bogged out and died, it then wouldn't start at all even the 'bypass - hold open throttle 1/4' wouldn't start the thing. I then ripped out the carb cleaned it out entirely and cleared ALL jets, I took off the air filter and cleaned inside the air box it seemed a little wet/oily inside and oiled the air filter slightly as it felt dry. It has decent spark but the plug was black and wet which I then cleaned and tried to kick over baring in mind I just refuelled. It would start with a 1/4 turn throttle and then rev up then bog out and die, of course it would not start with choke and without throttle. It has nice compression but when it comes to power if I don't pull the throttle crisp/fast enough it would snag and sound a little like a 4 stroke then all of a sudden power comes, to me that just sounds someone is going to say 'that is a two-stroke for you'.
