    FS: WARP9 Supermoto Wheels

I have a set of Warp 9 Supermoto Wheels I will be selling with in the next month or two. Just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in buying them. I just bought a 2015 Honda CRF450X and am going to set it up for dual sport / enduro riding rather than supermoto riding. They have the black rim, silver spokes, and red hubs. They are in great condition, not scratched up or anything. Depending on what shipping cost and everything I'll prob ask around $750 for them. Brand new they run $900-950. The wheels have dual sport knobby tires on them now and can potentially be sold with them included. I don't have pictures of them right now but can upload some on here soon. DM me if you're interested.

    Oil in gas

Hey guys . I feel like I post here way to much lol anyway after having my bike kn it’s side overnight to fix a cracked stator cover .... I come to find out that I also accidentally left the pet cock in the prime position .... constant gas flow to carb ... now my oil smells strongly of gas ... my question is ... was it the bike being on its side that made the gas get into the oil or the prime position on petcock that made this happen ? Or both ? I didn’t ride it much at all after discovering... I assume. I should drain the oil obviously but any other suggestions ? Always appreciated -mark

I have had this Dr350 for a few months wasn't running cleaned the carb it was running for a few days then it stopped. I need help!!!
  8. Hey there, I recently bought a 1979 Suzuki PE250 in pretty good condition for its age I'd say. However the fork seals are leaking and after struggling for a few days to get the fork caps open(they were seized) I have now come to a new problem. The Dust seal Holder seems to be stuck, in the shop manual it mentions some sort of special tool for removing the fork seal but I'm not sure what exactly it would do.The thing seems like it should just unscrew. I've tried whacking it with a screw driver and a hammer and I had some minor progress but its painfully slow so I was wondering if any of you vintage motorcycle wizards would be able to enlighten me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. A friend of mine asked me to fix his drz125 for him. The bike was put away running and sat for about 6 years In a shed. I cleaned the carb, air box, air filter, etc... and shimed the valves. The bike will start right up 1st kick but when it gets hot it will only idle and die out when u give it gas. I think it's a fuel related issue but I don't know what else to do. Please help, any ideas are appreciated.
  10. Hi gang, I'm new here, my name is Jim. We live in Florida and ride at Croom motorcycle park. We have 3 chinese pit bikes, two kawasaki atv's, and this suzuki 2 stroke I am asking about. I bought this 2001 suzuki jr80 dirt bike for my grandkids. It was missing the carb and when I got it home, I also found it had no compression. My 12 year old grandson diasassembled it under my guidance and the piston rings were missing and the piston is beat up. The head and cylinder look good. I am ordering a suzuki brand piston with gasket set for $95. The carb is $150 for a suzuki brand. I measured the rubber boot on the cylinder that the carb slips into and its 25 mm. I also have 3 chinese pit bikes the kids ride and I have had good luck with them. I bought this bike because they wanted to try a 2 stroke. I found a 28 mm chinese carb for a rm 80 for $25. It is 3 mm bigger though. Do you think I can fit it in the 25 mm boot? Or should I just go with the suzuki $150 carb?

    RM250 2018 TS

I though it would interest you guys form the yellow 2 smoker group.
  12. Hello, I'm having a bit of trouble with my 2008 rmz250. I bought the bike in pieces from a guy who claimed it wouldn't go into 4th gear. During reassemling, I examined all of the gears, dogs and shift cam but saw nothing out of the ordinary for as far as wear goes. And after it was completely together, I was able to shift through all of the gears well while the bike was on the stand (not running) and it catches and stays in gear, like it would normally do. However, during the first ride, it will shift up into 3rd but when it gets to 4th, there's nothing, false neutral. I'm thinking the detent spring is weak. Which would make sense as it stays in gear while the engine is off, but will hit false neutral while running. Does anyone have any idea about this or has run into this problem before?
  13. Hey guys, this is gonna sound really funny, but I have never ridden a formal motocross bike... I have only ever rode a KX65 (if you would even consider it a motocross bike), but I am 270-280 pounds and 6'1 so I had my legs over the handle bars and shifted with my hand.... So I wouldn't really consider that riding (I only made it about 30 yards before I fell sideways cause the powerband wouldn't hit in first gear), but in my "stable" I have a 2012 TTR-125 (Rigged up suspension to make extremely stiff for the weight), my ol' 1982 Kawasaki KD80 (about 65 PSI compression or so (Legit can turn it over by hand while its on the stand) but once it warms up gets reasonable compression), the CRF2sexyL (CRF250l) (Has a Two Brothers M7 Slip-On, EJK, CBR250R friction plate, Barnett Clutch springs for a CBR300R, 13t sprocket, Some handguards, Seat Concepts Seat, getting it from the shop today with a Full Race Tech Suspension overhaul, and probably some other stuff I forgot about), an Orion 70 (Chinese bike for my little brother when he comes to visit), and soon to be a DRZ-400 (Not sure S or E, but will add FMF full pipe and whatever the DRZ needs), a soon to be a CRF150R (and a custom seat (The person who I am buying this bike for rented one and said it turned his buttucks into hamburger meat)), hopefully a WR450R in the next couple years (Going to be dual-sportified MAYBE) or maybe a KTM 500 EXC (I am hesitant to KTM for some reason, just don't like orange I guess)... I won't ride the CRF150R since it won't formally be mine, so what is a motorcross bike like compared to all of my trail bikes? I have always riden trails, but I have been riding at Durham Town (google it), and the TTR-125 doesn't have enough oomph, and the CRF250L still might not have enough suspension (they have some gnarly trails).... Do I need a true motocross bike? Or will the race tech be enough? Really I just want a comparison of power and suspension, etc.... Should be a fun topic! P.S If anybody wants to ride at Durham Town I live like 25 minutes away, we could meet and ride! Ethan

    1977 Suzuki Pe250B

Very new to the dirt bike forums but not so new to bikes. Picked up my 1977 Suzuki PE250B back in 2012 for 500$. Running and riding just fine with little maintenance done since then. Parked the bike in late 2015 due to it shutting off on me while riding (which I believe to be a spark or carb issue) and just now getting around to finding the time to fix since being out of school.. Parts and a source of info have been my biggest obstacles. Anyways here's the bike.

so i picked up 2 (what i believe to be) fcr 39 carbs. the guy said he think they came from a 06-09 Yamaha 450 quad, if i can make them work great! if not then oh well ill resell them. here are the number i pulled from the carbs 5TG1-00SC01 5TG1-00RG01 i know there is a convirsion kit on TT, is that all that would be needed?
  17. I recently bought a broken kx100 that suposedly only needed a kick start gear. So i bought a parts engine and replaced the lower unit with a working one and did a top end rebuild. It put it partially back together following all torque requirements and tried starting it. i tried kicking it but the kick start will engage but wont return back up after i kick it. So i decided to bump start it (with the original gas it came with, idk if its bad or not). After giving up on kick starting i bump started it, this after a while made it start up and run crappy a few times. But every time it would start after 1 minute it would die and come to a complete stop. The piston would not move in gear when i would pushed the bike. So i took off the flywheel housing and spun it from there, once i did that the piston freed up would move when in gear. and also would start and move for only a minute and then return to doing the same thing. It seems like the engine internals are binding up on something or something is not in there properly. Anyone had a simular problem as me? this is driving me nuts because i have alot of money in the bike and it starts bud doesnt run correctly

    Drz400 won't start NEED HELP

I'm new to the forum and need some help! A few weeks back I purchased an 01 drz400e that was pretty ugly and needed some love. The bike had trouble starting, it would only start if you gave it a little bit of throttle and held the throttle barely open until it was warmed up then it would idle on its own. If you did not constantly hold the throttle a little open it would die. It rode pretty well and would rev all the way out just fine. So I assumed the issue was jetting and it was to lean, no problem. I ended up stripping the bike down to the frame, getting the frame powder coated and a bunch of other stuff, I bought supermoto wheels and tires, all sorts of new parts and I'm just now getting everything back together and the bike isn't starting/ running properly at all! As far as the engine/ carb the only thing I messed with was I installed the jd jet kit and did the air box mod using the red needle 3rd place, and the 160 jet. Fuel screw is about 1 and 3/4 turns out. I cleaned out the rest of the carb as well. I also removed the valve cover , water pump housing and the coolant inlet piece above the exhaust and powder coated them. I don't have the entire bike back together including plastics, brakes, street legal wiring etc. but I do have enough to start the bike and run it so I thought I would do so and it was a complete fail. The bike turns over fine but doesn't seem to want to start unless I give it a little throttle like before. Then it will start up while I'm still giving it throttle but now it barely runs. It sounds bad and sounds like it's running very slow or something. The bike will do this while I hold the throttle a little open for about 30 seconds or so then all the sudden rev up pretty high(which actually sounds pretty good) then die. Oh and it is puffing out some white smoke:(((. I know I must of done something wrong when putting everything back together but I'm no expert mechanic and need help diagnosing the issue. I did check the valves while the engine was out and they were in check. I'm not sure if I ran some of the hoses to the incorrect place, did something wrong with carb, messed up a gasket on the valve cover or water pump or connected the wiring wrong. I would really appreciate any help, I've spent a lot of money on this bike and really want to ride it. Thanks, Preston
  19. Hey guys i recently picked up a 1983 cr80r I stripped the whole bike down to the frame to find a couple of issues but when i went online to find parts i needed i looked at plastics and couldn't find anything anywhere i want them to be Nos OEM or a very close replica wondering if anyone knows where i could source some from.
  20. I have a 1997 RM250 with a Keihin pwk38 37E1 carburetor. The seat is bad and is no longer available for rebuild. I was looking for an after market that would be more reliable than a used or even new of the pw38 model. This is last year before they added the power jet model Keihin. Any advice is much appreciated...
  21. hi all, i had recently had purchased a 1975 ts 125 and its been sitting for a pretty long time, we put gas in the tank after cleaning the tank and carb and put new oil in the oil pump and it started right up and ran fine, we let it sit for not even an hour and now it won't start, it only backsfires with a loud pop sounds like a timing issue to me but unsure how to adjust the timing on this bike does anyone else know how? the spark is nice and blue also if that helps haha
  22. Just recently picked up a brand new 2017 KX450F from Paulson's (they were trying to get rid of all of their 2017's so they could make room for the 2019's) and my pops and I are looking for new places to ride other than Belfair/Tahuya. NOTHING wrong with Belfair but we are just looking for something different! So my pops and I used to do the Desert 100 all the time when it was in Mattawa (near Vantage, WA). Then they changed locations to Odessa, WA and it wasn't the same. We were told that they were doing some sort of testing in Mattawa and that's why the location changed but I've been seeing YouTube vids of people riding there as recent as last year. My questions are: Do you need a park pass or anything to go ride over there? One video looks like they parked at the old parking lot/staging area for the Desert 100. Is that were most people still park? If anyone can give me some info, that'd be awesome and much appreciated! Also, figured I'd ask in the same post about riding over in Cle Elum/Roslyn area. I grew up camping over there and riding near the coal piles. I guess the locals complained about the coal dust settling in the town and riding was shut down. Me or my dad haven't been riding over there in probably 20 years. Anyone have any details on riding over there as well? Need any park passes? Where to park and go. My dad knows that area like the back of his hand so I'd love to take him bake there! I haven't rode over there since I was on a KX60. I'm new to this site so I appreciate any info and am excited about being apart of this forum! Braaaaaaaap! Just because - I'll post a pic of the new bike! Just put on a FMF F4.1 Slip-on this week.
  23. I can't find any electrical for my 94 rm 250 is it possible to just swap out the entire electrical system and put one in that's off a 97 will everything fit and work properly?
  24. Hello all! I am having an issue with my 1997 dr200. Me and my brother rebuilt the carburetor and then when we tried starting it, it wouldn't actually start. Once we opened the choke all the way and it started right up but it sounded like it wasn't getting consistent fuel. When it runs, it bogs a little bit like it's getting too much fuel or too little, or maybe not enough air. I am also having an E-start issue, sometimes my button on my bike works to start but sometimes it doesn't. Could this be a bad starter? I just bought the switch and the wires are soldered so it can't be a connection issue. I did notice there was oil leaking from the front of the motor, I recently cleaned it and took out the starter but I couldn't tell if it was the starter leaking or the front of the case. I cleaned it and I am watching it to see it it's the starter or the case. It doesn't seem like I am losing lots of oil from my motor, the oil level is fine. I'm hoping it's my starter but let me know what you guys think of the situation. Haven't been working on bikes for super long but I am mechanically inclined, anything helps! Let me know guys/gals thanks!
  25. Hello guys,so i have Suzuki RMZ 250 2008 year, the problem start 2 weeks ago, when i start the its getting hot fast, can't idle, and backfires,so i clean the carb, adjust few air jet,and problem was gone,i went to ride and the bike suddenly stop running, nothing works, kicking, pulling, nothing cant start this bike,so i found the problem was that it can't make spark on spark plug, and the problem its in electrical system,so my question is: can i get another electrical system from bike that is same year and to put it on mine?
