    Ttr110 bog

    Ive got a brand new 110 that came with an after market exhaust from factory. It bogged at the dealership and i figured it was cuz the frigid cold of december. Ive been riding it and the bog wont go away even after its fully warmed. Its from idle to wide open. Runs like a trash fire without choke and will backfire goin down the road using engine brake. I took the air box apart and tried runnin it without the filter to no avail. Im just trynna get good doin wheelies and it wont let me god damnit
  2. Looking for recommendations for an adjustable softer rate shock for my girls ‘15 TTR110. I’ve searched numerous web stores and forums not finding much info except doing major mods. She’s 8 and about 65 lbs. and has complained of her “front butt hurts” because the stock shock is too stiff.
  3. Hi all, I have a completely stock 2005 Suzuki drz110 (same thing as a klx110) and it is running way to rich. It wont idle at all but will hang before it dies. It puffs a little bit of black smoke too. It always starts 1st kick and has decent power. Jets are stock at 35 pilot and 80 main. playing with the idle and fuel screws don`t do anything. Spark plug is black but it doesn't foul plugs. checked all around engine for air leaks with carb and choke cleaner and have found none. Air filter is clean and valves were just adjusted. Im out of things to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Luke
  4. I’m looking for a pit bike and for some reason I am drawn to the klx110. I found an 07 that is missing the rear fender and idk how beat it is but what do you think it is worth? He has it listed for $1,450. In 07, the msrp was only $1,699 so I can’t se it being worth too much.
  5. I have a 2009 klx 110 with a totaled engine and I'm wondering what type of engine I could replace it with. I've searched but only found engines for Honda crf 50's and cant find any that would hook up to a klx 110 frame. And before you say fix the current motor, the transmission is garbage, engine blew up so it also needs a top end rebuild, and both the engine cases have been broken with pieces missing. This happened because the slot where the Kickstarter shaft went into the case broke inside the engine and someone continued to run it while a chunk of the engine case was bouncing around inside. Also I'm wondering if they sell a kit where I could mount brackets on the frame to put a motor made for the Honda engines.
  6. The pit bike itch is real. Today I went to a dealer today with my brother to buy a 19’ kx250f ( which by the way is a nasty machine) and i stumbled apon the piranhas. Up until this point i was convinced i was going to buy a 110, I just havnt found the right one. Well, I then was introduced to the 125-e. The thing was like 1500 bucks out the door and looked awesome. I just have no clue about them. Reliability? Durability? Easy to get parts? Are they expensive? And so forth. Im looking at staying away from anything with a clutch, i want something my wife can jump on and burn laps in the yard and that im not afraid to jump on after a few tall waters. It will be used to thrash around the backyard as well as probably get some track time Thanks for the help!
  7. Not that many things on here regarding fuel and the Yz125 specifically. Locally, I can only get 91 octane ethanol gas, which is not what the manual calls for. It calls for 93 or higher......I have two other options each about 20 miles away....one is 93 octane ethanol gas from the pump, or go to sunoco and get 110 octane ethanol free......Any thoughts? Keep in mind, my engine is stock, and I don't plan to mod it out a whole lot in the near future. Any harm to running the 110 gas?
  8. im am 13, 100 pounds (with gear) and currently ride a 08 yz85 and am looking to move up. first off im not rich and i have to pay for my own stuff, i am not going to be racing i mainly just ride track and trails here and there also some desert sinlge track. i am debating on witch i should get next a yz125 or a yz250f. i can handle the power i have riddden both a 125 2 stroke and a 250f and i basically fell in love with both so i am in a predicament on what whould be best. anything helps
  9. Hello. I bought my son an 06 klx 110 with a 143 big bore kit on it. It ran crappy for the first summer and I knew it was probably the wrong size/jet carb (has an OKO currently). After sitting the last year...it would only run on choke so I knew we had some clogging issues. We cleaned it out and it now runs off of choke but it still has issues. If you slowly roll on the throttle it is ok but even the slightest blip and it totally dies out. I'd like to just get a new carb all together since the current one seemed to run very lean anyways. I know knock off carbs are frowned upon but he rides the bike in a small circle in our front yard so i dont want to spend $100 on a Mikuni vm26 just for 2nd gear putting. Does anyone have a recommendation on a cheap carb that is sufficient for the 143 kit that's on it? All of the vm26 knockoffs I see for around $40 have a bolt on intake end and the bike has the rubber intake with hose clamp setup. Is there a cheap carb that has the hose clamp on both ends or can i take the bolts off of the rubber intake and directly bolt the new carb to where the rubber intake now bolts on? Any help is appreciated!
  10. So I'm looking for a klx110 online and I come up on this post, the dude wants 550 for it but the problem is it doesn't start and he says he needs a front end tune. Also has an rebuilt aftermarket carb. I asked him why it wouldn't start and he said the front end of the motor is shot but all I need to do is tune it. Is it possible?!I'm gonna offer him less but I want to know if it's worth it.

    Hard shift

    I have a 2011 ttr110. I installed EBC stiffer clutch springs with new clutch pads. It was very noticeably harder to shift after sold the bike right after almost. Bought back and it is extremely hard to shift up now. What could this be. Due to the stiffer Springs Maybe?? It will shift fine if you Redline it and then shift. Shifts down no problem.

Hey fellas, I have an 05 klx 110 with a 143bbk, vm26, and the bbr performance cam, and pancake filter, stock exhaust for now, my question is I just put the carb on it and and I was expecting some serious pull from the bike. And I dont feel like there is. I'm not sure if I'm expecting to much or something is wrong. Any help would be awesome thanks guys.
  14. I am working on a 2002 klx 110 for a buddy and it needed a new top end. After completing the work I went to start it and it get like the kick start was slipping and not turning the engine over. I took the side cover off and confirmed this. Engine turns over with out any issues via the flywheel. I adjusted the clutch with no change. I pulled the Kickstarter out and found the case was cracked where they always crack. Replaced the case side and the one way bearing for the primary while I was in there and still having the same result. If I leave it sit and go to kick it I might get 2 sort kicks with the engine turning over and then it will slip every time. When slipping occurs the secondary clutch is just slipping inside the basket. How does the basket turn? The actual clutch seems to be all that attaches to the driveshaft itself not the basket.

  17. So I decided to purchase 2 gpx/pitster pro pit bikes as I bought some acreage and wanted something for me and my daughter to putt around on as we are making some single track in our woods. I have owned basically every bike known to man, 53 in the last 5 years to be exact and just couldn't justify another $11-12,000 ktm 500 for such a small piece of land (5 acres) plus I have street bikes and a sidexside. I went with the new fse190r for me and fse 110r for my daughter and I have to say I'm more than extremely impressed with both bikes! mine has the daytona 190cc motor in it 24hp and the bike only weighs 150 pounds and it's a rocket which I was not expecting at all, the bike is actually quite a handful to control in the woods lol. Lots of nice standard parts on the bike which a lot of klx 110 guys seem to change to anyway like the suspension(which is actually amazing!) dual oil coolers, folding brake/clutch levers, billet triple clamps, hubs, etc.. Pitster pros customer service has been top notch for sure, any questions I have had at all the owner has personally responded to, so far very very pleased!
  18. Ok so I bought a 450 for myself and a crf250f for my wife but she wiped out and is just done now. Won’t even try again. So, my son is 9, 4’6”, never ridden before. He sits almost flat foot on a 110, but I feel he will outgrow that quick and I wonder if no clutch is good or bad, i.e. he could get used to that and not want to learn to use a clutch. I can trade my 250 for a 125 big wheel. 30 inch seat height. Anyone with any suggestions would be appreciated.

    2008 ttr 110

    Hi everyone. Looking at a first bike for my daughter. Ran across this 110, looking to get a very good deal due to the issues. I can wrench most anything myself. How do you feel about the comments? For Sale: i have a 2008 ttr-110 for sale. has electric start, decent tires, pro taper high bars, and a two brothers exhaust. just finished up a rebuild on it. everything in the bottom end was in spec. bored .50 over, new piston and rings, gaskets. valves were adjusted. the bad it shifts into neutral and first gear and runs perfect, but for some reason it wont hit 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. if i adjust the clutch a different way it will go into 1st and 2nd but not neutral. im not sure what the issue is exactly. The guy states he was just in the bottom end.. I would say he's sounds capable of fixing the issue himself, but found out many problems. Just figure'd I would post and get your thoughts on this. Thanks!!
  21. I have finally gathered enough cash and will power to buy a new pitbike. And im between a crf an klx. Kawasaki is having a 300 dollar off and 100 dollar prepaid card. But is that enough to justify the loss of fuel injection? Convince me which ones better on all horizons.

  24. So I bought a 2004 drz110. Test drive it rode mint had a decent first gear low end bog when I really got on it but it sat for a few years so I assumed a little general maintenance(clean carb oil change new spark plug clean air filter) would fix it. First thing I did though is install the fmf pipe that I bought it with the guy never installed it. Other than that bike is 100% stock. So I cleaned the carb and did an oil and filter change used Kawasaki 10w40 oil and k&n KN-112 oil filter. So I fired it up and it is 1 kick fire up almost every time not a big problem. But I noticed at half throttle it sputters in neutral and first didn't really notice it in second. Also seemed to be smoking a little. I got rid of the low end bog it seems after cleaning the carb but this new problem came up. I adjusted the air screw and reset it to closed and opened 1 1/4 turns like the manual says because whoever messed with it before me had it at 2 1/2 turns out. I thought that would fix it but it still has the same sputter. If I open the throttle up then just flat out let it go it'll stall. I haven't replaced the spark plug yet was going to do it tonight. But after reading around the forum I'm having trouble finding an answer that'll help with my specific problem. Most things say it's jetting because of a the new exhaust but I know plenty of people who run stock klx or ttr with an fmf or aftermarket pipe with no problems. From what I'm reading it sounds like maybe it could be a main main problem like it's clogged or not the right one because it means it's running too rich. I didn't remove the main jet when I cleaned the carb so I could believe that it might still be dirty. My plan is the check the spark plug and put a new one in and if I'm still having the sputter to pile the jets and the carb and hit them with some carb cleaner and see if that works. Just wanted some opinions of if I'm going about it right or if I'm totally wrong and there's something else I'm not thinking of wrong with the bike.
