2001 200 exc, not 250. Asking for a friend... He needs new water pump housing and impeller for his 2001 200exc. I told him to just figure out the part number and search it on google... but then I did some searching and I cant find a gd part number myself. Am I a little special or do these not have part numbers? I'm not a ktm dude so I don't know the ins and outs here but it seems like a lot bikes from the same era all shared the same water pump housing at least - just from visual inspection of ebay listings. Can anyone explain what's going on here and where I could look to find a replacement impeller and housing cover? Also - thoughts on buying a second hand water pump cover for $8 off ebay? seems fine to me...

I have a Ktm 200exc that was jetted very nicely. The other day, after doing some of research, I decided I wanted to play around with the powervalve. Now the the bike will rev to a certain rpm and then flatline on power (wont rev out). 1/8 - 1/2 throttle feels very nice, but 3/4 - full throttle wont rev any higher and doesn't have any power. Can anyone help me fix my mistake?

I am in the process of replacing my crank case seal on my 200 exc, however as I took the case off I noticed that their is a small hole in the back bottom chamber where the power valve lever sets. It looks Manufactured this way and would be impossible to drill a perfect hole in that location. Anyway anyone know why this is that way? It is a bit confusing as it would allow oil to get into the PV and into the Piston and burn/smoke/splooge like crazy IE same Symptoms as a Compromised crank case seal. Am I just over thinking it? Any input would be great thanks!! 1st pic is of light in hole 2nd pic is close of of pick tool through hole 3rd is the PV chamber and location of said hole.

Hello, hopefully this is the right place to post this. Was repacking/cleaning the KTM Exhaust FMF turbinecore 2.1, when I removed the old packing I noticed their was still about 1 inch of packing at the base around the hole that the core slides into,(see pictures) not the easiest to get access to and remove, that packing is pretty old/Saturated, can’t tell the Condition of it, should I remove this packing or leave it? If I leave it will there be “too much packing”? It looks as if it is manufactured this way, When I removed The packing around the core it seemed like it’s own individual piece, nice clean cut, as if Separate from the remaining bit at the end. Hey all, first post, glad to be here! Just got my first 2 stroke in a trade, it's a 2004 KTM 200sx. always been a 4 stroke guy, but I've done some time on some friends' yz125's and yz250's. Since day one, i though mine sounded like a bucket of marbles, especially on decel and idle, both with the clutch in and out. Here's a short clip of the test ride the first day i got it: https://vid.me/XPgVP to ease my mind, I rebuilt my crank, after finding a tiiiiny bit of up and down play. all of my bearings checked out, so I omitted replacing them since i don't have access to a machine shop. buttoned it back up, and fired it up. https://vid.me/4gDWj the noise has improved (i think), but I'm not sure if there's something else at play here. or maybe it's just a noisy bike. My 05 200 EXC just had a full motor rebuild and when we started it up it starting making a super loud clicking noise that sounds like it's coming from the powervalve. Does anyone know what is causing this or is it semi normal.

Okay so I just bought an 09 125sx for trail riding and want to add a larger tank. Unfortunately an over sized tank is anywhere from 230 - 300$. So I thought about buying a used one off ebay, does anyone know if 200/250/300 exc fuel tanks are compatible from the same year or what other years are compatible with it?

My 04 200exc lists the rear tire size as 120/90-18, is that for real? Most online suppliers list that bikes size as 100/100-18. Any comments?

bought a 2005 ktm 200 exc and the speedometer seems to be removed. also there is a small metallic pin next to the speedometer mounting, any idea what that is for? I have no knowledge in bikes, and would like to get the lights working as soon as possible.

Hey everyone, Long time listener first time caller here lol. I have a chance a buying a 2005 ktm 200 exc for 3k (Canadian), I'm looking for an opinion on if it is a reliable bike, are parts available or is it a little too old and should I just wait and see if I can find something a little newer. I currently drive a 2011 990 dakar edition as a daily, but it's way to nice still to be take off road like I want. I'll be looking to do and go everywhere off road with the 05 200 and don't want a bike I will care about thrashing it through the woods. Thanks!

Hi TT today I have been presented the opportunity to buy a decent condition ktm 200 exc for $2500. Now this would be my first two stroke from ktm so I would like to get some input on what you think on this bike. Thanks!
