  1. Hi guys I have a 2018 Crf250r and my ecu is stuck in customs but I have the opportunity to use a 2019 ecu but unsure on if it will work or wreck anything
  2. Hello fellow ThumperTalkers! I have been look around for a new bike recently and am considering getting a leftover 2019 CRF450R. I have about 5 years of off-road experience, but I have never owned a 450. Where it becomes problematic is with my size, as I am about 125 pounds and 5 feet 7 inches. Would it be safe to assume that I could effectively ride it with only sag, compression, and rebound adjustments? If not, would I have to change the springs and/or valving? You may be asking why I don’t want a CRF250R, and my answer to that would be that I do not want to deal with constant maintenance since I know I will be riding at much higher RPMs on a 250 compared to a 450. The two bikes are also the same price, so I feel like I would get more value out of a 450, especially when factoring in maintenance saving. Anyways, would I be fine riding a 2019 CRF450R with the stock suspension at 125lbs? Thanks for any feedback in advance!

  4. HELP! Bought a GYTR fan for my 2019 YZ450FX. It runs so much that it runs down the battery until I can't start the bike. Is there any way to map the bike so the fan will come on at a hotter temp? It seems to run way too much. Dealer doesn't know shit. You'd think being that it is a GYTR product it would be fine. Had the same one on my 2016FX and didn't have a single problem.
  5. Hello, could someone tell me how can you select the mappings of my yz450f 2019 between 1 and 2 once you have loaded the bike from the yamaha power tuner app? I was trying to press the handlebar button that is on the left side but the only thing I can activate is the launch control. In the application it appears as if map number 1 is loaded and number 2 is also, but I can not select the one I want when I go out to ride. I do not know how to change the mappings. I hope you can help me. Thank you so much.
  6. Hello, I have a 2019 ktm 300 xc-w tpi and I'm trying to find engine guards for it. Does anybody know where a person could find any? Acerbis makes a nice set but can't find them for this bike. Also does any other models work for my bike. Thanks P s the gaurds I'm looking for cover the clutch cover and same on other side
  7. Hey guys I'm purchasing a 2019 yamaha tt125 and are looking into future upgrades for it. I know I should modify the airbox but should I do that right away? Do you guys know any upgrades that you like? Or anything you've heard positive reviews about. Also not looking to spend too much money. Anything you guys know would be great. Thanks, Jack

Yes, I am asking what to buy, I’m sure there are a million other threads with a very similar question, but before bashing me for posting, please understand that although I am talking about the whole topic, I want to focus a large portion of this post on the expense of the two bikes, mostly the repair expense. Now that we’ve got that cleared up, I’m an intermediate rider, bought a brand new 2018 250XC last year and love the bike. I race hare scrambles, but lately I’ve been riding MX a lot and thinking about trying a new 4 stroke and getting something that will handle the track a bit better (suspension-wise). I’ve been told the 350’s are about as expensive as they get to repair when it comes to the engine, but I don’t truly know what the case is. Does anyone have some round-about numbers, any comparisons to the expense of the 450? Yes, I know the 450 costs a few hundred more up front, I don’t care about that, just looking at maintenance. Also, I’m worried that being used to the 250 2 stroke (and I ride with the red spring in, I like an aggressive feel) I will have a hard time getting used to a 350F, kind of like getting on a 250F where I feel like I’m pounding on the throttle to keep it moving. Is this anything to be worried about? In every other way I lean towards 350, being a 2 stroke guy, liking the lighter-weight, more nimble-feeling bikes.
  10. Hey all, I know there has probably been a ton of posts here about aftermarket for the klx250 but even after all the research I'm still a bit confused. I'm very very new to the bike world. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me the most important things to do and in what order. I would like to have it jetted and a new exhaust. Not sure which ones to buy or how to install, but pretty sure I'd like this to get more out of the bike and definitely get a deeper sound than the stock exhaust (I have an aftermarket exhaust on my dr200 and its funny how much better it sounds than my new klx250 lol!). So basically I just need more clear instructions on what exactly to buy. Thanks much.
  11. I am shopping for a fmf q4 slip on for my 2019 crf250l. The only ones in stock are for a crf250l rally. After doing some research the oem exhaust for a crf250l and crf250l rally are the same part number. But the fmf site has different part numbers for each bike. Does anyone know if they are the same pipe? Because I accidentally orders a q4 for a rally and I just have a normal L.

  14. Great news! The 2019 YZ450Fx got the 2018 YZ450 treatment! New Frame Updated Suspension Bigger Tank (2.2 gallons) Lighter (lost 6 lbs wet even with larger tank) Keeps its wide ratio transmission I'm pretty excited about this bike. I love my '17 450FX and was hoping the 2019s would get updated. Honestly though, I had almost lost hope due to fuel capacity. The 2018 YZ received a smaller tank (1.6 gallons) and the largest tank IMS offers is 2.0 gallons. I took this to mean there was no room left for fuel with the new layout. Thankfully I was wrong! The new YZ450FX is coming stock with a 2.2 gallon tank. Also, the new bike lost some weight. It now weighs 256lb fully wet (or 242lb without fuel).   15. Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2019 te300i. It seems to bog when first cracking the throttle and stumbles or runs a bit rougher when just trying to maintain a consistent speed, say like at 25 on pavement. However when it is under a load going up a hill as an example it runs very smooth and can lug all day. Is there anyway to adjust out that bit of bog when you first twist the throttle or is that normal? Do two strokes normaly run a bit different when not under a load or holding one speed? Thanks for your help! Be awhile since I have been in the two stroke world.
  16. I have a brand new off the showroom floor 2019 kx 250. Breaking it in I did a bunch of heat cycling as well as varying the rpm to hopefully seat the piston rings correctly, however, when I first start the bike, I pull out the choke (not sure if its actually a choke on a fuel injected bike) wait till it starts revving up, push it back in and let it warm up for a couple minutes, then give it a little throttle snap, I little puff of white/blue smoke comes out. it appears to not be losing any coolant or oil, but I haven't ridden it a lot because of this. I talked to the dealer about it and the said it is probably still just breaking in. Is this normal for a brand new bike? I have approximately 4 hours on the bike, did my first oil change at 2 hrs. when I changed the oil, I did accidently put too much in, but noticed immediately, and drained some out to the correct level. Could it be smoking because of that? also, once its fully warmed up and I'm riding, there is no smoke at all. could there be a little bit of oil in the combustion chamber from when the built the bike? how long would it take to burn that off? any answers are greatly appreciated.
  17. Brand new bike with only 5 hours. I started the bike to let it warm up and it died in 30 seconds. Won’t start back. It’s getting fire. Any ideas?
  18. Hy everyone. I live in europe and would like to remap my bike(ktm sxf 350 2019). It is backfireing a lot, and after removing a cone from silencer, the backfire is even more obvious. I read about good benefits from Twisted development in us. Is there any good tuner who would remap stock ecu for a reasonable price in europe? Thanks
  19. Hey guys, it's been about 3 months since I bought my new yamaha yz450f and today it has about 21 hours of use. Now, the other day climbing a dune the motorcycle began to make a strange noise only when the motorcycle runs in the 4th gear (in the rest of the gears it does not happen) everything indicates that the gear of the 4th gear was broken or that He moved. Did anyone else happen to this or just me? The motorcycle has only 21 hours incredible that a 0km motorcycle breaks the transmission only climbing in dunes. What do you think it could be? What should I do in this situation? Change brand and buy Honda or Kawasaki? I do not know. I am very disgusted and frustrated with the brand for now and with this happening on a completely new motorcycle. I await your fellow responses. Thank you
  20. Ok I have a 2017 yz250f and I need a rear wheel I found a set.. But they are for an 08 yz250f and I wondering if anyone knows if I can runs those? Do I just have to swap out the bearings or will they not work at all. Thanks
  21. Just picked up my 250RX, and I am not having much luck finding spark arrestors for it, without buying an expensive exhaust or slip on. Question : Are the R and RX mufflers the same? If so, are the 2018 mufflers the same as 2019 on the R? Some sites show a listing for the R but not the RX, and I was thinking maybe because the RX is new? Ideally I would simply like to buy the end caps and bolt them on. Just spent a small fortune to buy the bike, not looking for $1000+ exhaust system. Too bad Honda does not offer this as an optional part - I see lots of riders needing them. And if I do find replacement end caps with spark arrestors, would I need to worry about the ECU mappings? Require re-programming? (Not a racer - trail rider so performance is not top of the list). Searched the forums here but could not find anything in regards to the RX itself. Appreciate any feedback!

  24. I had a race about 2 months ago and the bike started sputtering midway through the weekend then as the races went on it started losing power. I broke my subframe the last race so my bike didn’t get started for about 2 months. I cleaned the carb while it was apart and then put it back together took it for a spin and it ran like absolute crap. at about a quarter throttle it would start sputtering, each gear it would sputter earlier in the rpm’s and more. I’ve tried a few things so far to fix it but nothings worked. Is there anyone with the same problem that has a solution?
