I just purchased a 2021 CRF450RX and love everything about it, however... it doesn’t have a headlight Looking for recommendations on a good headlight(not something cheap and dim)

Back in Early October 2021 I started calling California, Nevada and Arizona dealerships to track down who was getting the 2021 CRF450RWE. Pretty much all of them told me that they didn’t have one for sure coming that they could guarantee me, but they usually get one. A closer dealership I had called said they were for sure getting two, already confirmed by Honda and one was already taken. So I ran down and placed a deposit and signed their little contract to purchase the bike. Around late November they called me to say the bike would be arriving sometime the first week of December, if not then for sure the second week of December. Around 12/17/2020 I called and asked if it came in. They said that it had not, Honda confirmed the ship date would now be 12/21/2020. And to expect the bike the first week of January. I gave them a call around 01/10/2021 for an update, they told me no dice on the bike, should come in at the end of the month. Hit them up on 01/29 and they told me they were receiving the bike on 01/30. I asked if it was being shipped on that day or they were actually receiving it. He wasn’t sure. But they never called back. What’s getting me angry about this is that originally I didn’t really care when it came, I have other bikes to ride. But they kept giving me these bs updates which got me excited and anxious and I still don’t know what’s up. I am to the point now where I kind of want to get my money back and buy something else from their rival dealership. And to add as a FU to them, I am buying a 1000 turbo UTV and trailer in late March and was considering them, but not now. My kids also ride, so I would be axing them out of their new bikes when they outgrow what they have. Maybe I am just being vindictive and in reality I am dealing with morons in the sales department. Is anyone else getting the runaround and still waiting?

Hello, I recently picked up a 2021 KLX300 Supermoto for my wife to learn to ride and she's having a blast. Im interested in buying a wheel/tire set more for offroad when my buddy's take their bikes trail riding. Has anyone done the conversion from a supermoto and if you could let me know what type of wheel to search for? will i need different sprockets? Thanks, any help appreciated.

I have a 2021 450r with 15 hours on it and on my last ride I noticed it was making a clattering noise when starting to move in 1st and and low rpm in 2nd. (Didn’t make this noise in any of my previous rides. I did apply a heavy amount of chain wax prior to this ride but it doesn’t look excessive at all. I’m stumped here and don’t want to keep riding the bike hard until I figure out what’s going on.

Hello, A week ago I bought a 2021 KTM 250 SX-F. It was my first bike every buying on my own and I was more than excited to finally ride it. I've been riding on a desert bike for 3 years now, and the last year I've made my desert bike more fit for track. After riding other Motocross bikes I realized I should probably get a motocross bike for the tracks. When I first got the bike I rode it around in my neighborhood to get a feel for the clutch and all around feel of the bike. Everything went perfectly fine. However, the next day when I got to the track and would open it up on the track, it would bog out and die. I was at the track for an hour constantly trying to get the bike to work properly but I didn't even get one full lap in. I took the bike to my dealership and they found that there was grease in the main jet and cleaned it out. I was stoked to finally be able to ride my bike the next day in Glamis with my family. I'm there right now and the bike still won't run. It idles fine in neutral and sounds as crisp as a new bike can, but once I get on the gas and the rear wheel starts spinning in the dirt/sand, the bike either bogs out and dies or the bike backfires like crazy and will barely move when in gear. If anyone possibly knows what the problem is please respond I would greatly appreciate it. Im going to take the bike back to the dealership when I get home but I'm trying to fix it while I'm in the desert. Any help would be great. Thank you, Max Knight

Hello, I recently purchased the new 2021 Sherco 300 SE. I want to really get this bike dialled in for my riding. I live on Vancouver Island. I ride technical single track. Pretty rough terrain, lots of rocks roots and hill climbs. So my question is this. Is there any recommendations for my suspension settings? I weight 240 pounds. I think I need to order a new spring. Any recommendations for a spring for my weight? Thanks

Recently purchased a 2021 ktm 690 smc r with the fun new Euro 5 emissions regulations and can’t seem to find an answer to what tuning and de-restriction options work on these bikes. Some have said that the fueling dongles and PCV no longer work or give and engine light once installed just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what they know or their experiences. also has anyone had issues with the ‘front wheel position sensor’? Brought the bike home and went to go for a ride and 50m down the road the engine light came on and the bike seemed to go into limp mode (no gear position indicator, no quick shifter, and power cutting out) took it back to the dealer and they read the code and replaced the front wheel position sensor. Got it home a second time and the same thing happened again

Thought I’d start a forum for the new 2021 RR-S for ideas, fixes and general discussions. Just picked up my 2021 430 RR-S last week and love it!

Bike used to struggle to turn on, charged battery and got one start and it’s dead again, used a jump box and it fired right up but battery started sizzling. Tried a few different batteries but they all have the same issue, the starter relay clicks( it only clicks once ) . But even with a fully charged battery it would fire up and start clicking after 1 start

Hello all, I picked up a 2021 Husqvarna FC 250 with 120 hours for really cheap. It has a major bog issue and the guy was tired of messing with and putting money into it. So the bike starts perfectly, idles great, and slow revs to the moon. However, if you blip the throttle or turn the throttle as fast as you can it will immediately bog or cut out and die. It acts as if it cuts off the fuel or something. He replaced the entire fuel pump/filter inside the tank before I bought it but it didn’t fix it. I have no idea the last time any engine work was done. I haven’t started messing with it yet so I was going to see if any of you have had any similar issues or know what it might be before I start disassembly. Thanks.

Hi Guys, I installed a street OHV light kit on my 2020 CRF450R, the kit is actually pretty nice, the main harness is built well the wires to the LEDs are a bit small and could be a bigger gauge wire for durability. My question is, would the map switch from the 2021 CRF450R that has the traction control incorporated work on a 2020 model? trying to clean up my bars a bit and I don't want so many switches, right now I have the light kit control, map switch and launch control button. Below are pics of the 2021 map switch which shows the new style traction control/map switch, the street OHV light/horn control and the 2020 double switch for map and traction control. It would be nice to only have the new map switch and the OHV control. I appreciate any feedback, thanks Guys!

When I was doing this conversion I could not find anything to help me other than older bikes. With that being said here is a guide to anyone that wants to convert their newer body style to a dual sport. First I went to jcr speed shop and picked up his headlight for the rl. JCR made new mounting brackets and connections so it is a basic plug and play deal that connects to the data plug on the left side of the bike. I also purchased his rear tail light and brake switch for the rear. From then I ended up going with the universal dual sport wiring harness of Rocky Mountain, since I already had most of the stuff that comes in the complete kit, and bought the flush mount turn signals for the rear and tusk front turn signals as well as the tusk mirrors. Here is where I had a headache. I really wanted it to be as factory looking as possible and I am really OCD on little things. Obviously with it being a universal kit nothing is perfect so there is a good 2’ extra wire front and rear and it was really hard to hide that. I ran everything along the left side under the tank along the factory harness then down into my airbox where I made my connections for the taillights. There is the power plug that I wired into the battery box then connected it to the harness running along the frame as well. Then for the horn and flasher I used the factory mounting hole for the number plate and mounted them both there because that’s just how the wiring worked out because the original spot I picked was my lower radiator mount bolt but it was too tight. With the horn and flasher mounted at the number plate bolt the horn does fold over every bump I hit and it annoys me but it still works and you can’t notice it so for now that is it’s home. Front turn signals I mounted on my front fender and am surprised I haven’t ran into my tire eating up the wires yet I plan on making a new bracket that mounts the front number plate to move the blinkers up like the rl but I haven’t gotten around to that yet. Hope this helps anyone looking to do it to your bike. If someone needs more specific pictures I’ll take some.

I bought a 2021 yz125 brand new, took it home, rode it for about three min at low speeds. Turned it off and then filled it with gas (32-1) ratio and it didn’t want to start after? It has spark, fuel and compression. I first I thought I fouled a plug so I replaced it but it still didn’t want to turn on. Please help.

First time changing the oil on this 2021 YZ250. Followed everything in the manual and went to remove the oil check bolt to insure I had enough. The manual calls for 7ft lbs of torque on that specific bolt. Not that it matters that much, but I decided to set my torque wrench to 7ft pounds and it screw it back in. Never really felt tight and the torque wrench never hit 7ftlbs of torque... then snap! the head broke clean off. I never felt like I had much pressure on the bolt but I'm guessing the torque wrench is probably finicky and I was better off tightening it by hand. But now I'm left with no washer and head... just the bolt stuck in the threads. And it looks like I have a subtle continuous leak and no way of removing this bolt. This is a brand new bike and the first oil change I've done on it. Does anyone have a solution on how to get the bolt out nice and clean and replace it? And am I okay to ride the bike like this?

Anyone have a 2021 KX250 they can check for me? I installed new chain and sprocket and noticed the lower chain guide does not line up with the sprocket. The chain runs to the outside of it. When I spin the wheel backwards the master link makes a noticeable clink when it goes through. I rode it 2.2 hours on the stock setup and I can see where the outside part of the guide is wearing the edge off. I put one tooth larger sprocket and added a link and moved the wheel back. Adjusters are even... Looks to me like Kawasaki mounts are off. If someone could look at there's and check that be cool. I bent it out a little for now

I've been doing a good bit of searching, on and off this forum so I apologize if some of the answers can be found elsewhere but it does seem like most things are just unknown with these newer model SMC-Rs. This is actually a buddies bike but I wanted to lend a hand due to his time constraints, and I've got a history of growing up+competing on dirt bikes and tracking street bikes. The goal is to have the ktm track ready - not competition.. but track ready which means it would be on the track with more purpose oriented competition street bikes. So it does need some more power. The suspension is fine for now, and currently have a PC5 + Rotty intake + SAS canister eliminator kit waiting for the right exhaust. The exhaust options seem a little dicey from what I've found... many come with a header which I doubt is really necessary apart from saying you have "titanium" or 1-2 pound weight reduction. They don't state their gains because as we all know dyno numbers are risky and subjective. Will another models Akro muffler+mid-pipe fit these bikes(he prefers akro) without fabrication? Has anyone tried fitting an FMF series kit? I have read that they can get significantly louder, but that is not a concern. And for anyone else, if you happen to have this motor and have done cat elimination + muffler kit (no fabrication) and a dyno, could you post your results and parts? The goal is to just squeeze every bit of power from PC5 letting the engine breath without requiring fabrication. Thanks all.

Hey, got a 2021 kx250f and am trying to find a way to make sure my oil pump is doing its job. Has anyone done anything to make sure it’s working easily? Thanks

What’s up guys. I have a chance to buy either a 2021 250 XC or 2021 300 Xc-w. It’s gettting so stressful for my simple brain to take. Lol. I thought getting a new bike was supposed to be all fun. I grew up riding 250 2 strokes. I’m 33 and just started riding again after about 10yrs. I took a hard fall on street bike and now I’m back to riding dirt. I’m currently on a 2005 450 exc. I live in Nevada so there are tons of wide open trails. But also a lot of technical canyons, rock formations and single tracks up in the mountains near Tahoe. I tend to like doing the slow and technical stuff more than wide open fast riding. Less chance of getting seriously injured I guess. I am physically fit but have many injuries. Separated ac joint, jacked up shoulder muscles. I’ve broke both my wrists on two different occasions, actually just got my casts off from an fast electric skateboard fall. I think scar tissue is the only thing holding my ankles together. Torn hamstring. Just why I was kind of leaning towards the softer suspension bike. Any thoughts or opinions? I do and can still ride as hard as ever. Side note, the Xc for sale is 30 min from me. The xcw is a 13 hr drive away.. &%$#@!in California man.
