Excellent bike. Upgraded to 280 with OEM kit. Ohlins steering stabilizer, Akropovik silencer, various alum. protection parts, OEM radiator fan, Shorai battery, overlow bottle. It does get hot in the desert when the temps go over 100F.

  15. I'm extremely close to pulling the trigger on a 350 XCF-W. One thing I'm concerned about is pulling the trigger and dumping a large amount of cash on a bike with a locked ECU. I'm used to rejetting carbs as I see fit. I've heard that there may be some lean spots in the stock XCF-W maps and that because they are locked you have no options. But I've been out of riding dirt bikes for 20 years so I thought I'd ask the question here. Is the mapping on the XCF-W less than ideal? Is there any way around the locked ECU (i.e. like buying a European ecu?) Thanks! Doc
  16. In the market for a new or used 250 enduro bike. I'll be 80% trail, 20%light MX. Factors important to me in this order: Suspension, plush/responsive, adjustable Price Maintenance/reliability Electric AND kickstart would be nice Weight The KTM has a mystique about it. It has a rep for parts being more expensive than the others. Most expensive of the bunch. For the XCFW, I like the "woods" tranny low 1st and 2nd gear for climbs but not the idea of the PDS rear shock. Prefer linkage on the XCF The Honda and Yamaha are heavier than the KTM by about 23lbs. The Honda is listed as having adjustable fork. IDK about the others. Yahama has the ti valves, nice touch. Is there a current shift shaft and impellar issue? It seems maybe on the Yamaha forums. Uh, the KTM is sweet. I'm seeing orange... Any experiences to share or advice? Thanks.
  17. Just ordered all these goodies for my new 2015 XCF-W that I got last week! Very excited. Clutch lever is mainly because I snapped it off already.

Ultimate beginner bike that will rip through the woods as fast as you want to go. All it needs is a little more low end grunt.

  23. Im trying to decide which 2016 xcf to buy, the 250 or 350. I've read reviews and alot are impressed with the 250, and others say the 350 installs more on the slow technical stuff. Im a intermediate rider and this will be my first four stroke. Im a little over 6'2 and 250lbs, i've sat on the 250 and its a good height for me. Ill be doing trails as well as motocross, i just dont know if i need the extra power from the 350. So if you have a 2016 xcf or have ridden one please give me your opinion. I only want 2016 input since its a completely new bike, i just dont want to buy a 250 and out grow it down the line. Thx
