    yz250 carb problems

    it only stays running when you give it gas, if you let off it cuts out. i tried adjusting air screw and choke screw and they dont do anything at all the only one that does anything is the throttle screw but i have to loosen it all the way out to keep it running. None of this was happening untill i did a top end rebuild with wiseco. and its fouling plugs in a day of riding if that. please help cant figure this out.

    bushing Gio X31 250cc Linkage Bushings

    Hey ya'll! I've been riding my Gio X31 250cc really hard lately and one of the rear linkage bushings went. Now it makes a horrible squeaking noise lol. Does anyone know were I can get replacement bushings or if there are any compatible bushings from name-brand bikes? Thanks, Jordan
  3. I'm having a problem with my starter on my Suzuki Djebel 250 (bought and own in Cambodia). If I let the bike set for 2+ hours, to start the engine, I have to push the handle bar switch button in until something heats up and activates the starter. The longer the bike sits, the longer I have to hold the button in before it starts; and the problem is getting worse. I'm afraid eventually it won't work at all. Have replaced the brushes in the starter and the solenoid so far and nothing's changed. Any thoughts, suggestions, or solutions out there?

    HELP ME IDENTIFY THIS BIKE

    So like an idiot I was on craigslist and found a very cheap Enduro 250. The problem is I have no idea what year or brand of bike it is due to the VIN number being scratched off on the bike. Wondering if anyone recognizes this bike or can identify what kind of a bike it is. I can attach images of the bike below. THANKS!

    Anyone know what causing this???

    I have a 4 stroke giox31 250 2010, and just had the engine rebuilt with a new piston kit, due to the fact that the old rings were worn out... so I stuck everything back on the bike and ran it without the air filter or tailpipe to make sure it work and it ran fine. But now I have stuck on the tailpipe and muffler it wont run and the weird part is, it especially wont run when the kickstarter is in its resting position.
  6. Hey all! I have a 2011 Gio X31 250cc that is losing compression gradually. It had amazing compression when it was new...but now it's becoming a tiresome task to kick-start when my electric start is down. It's burning a small amount of oil, but I don't even have to top it up between oil changes (~10 hrs. per change). I'm thinking it just needs a valve adjustment to bring the compression back up. I'm surprised how good this engine has been. I ride it hard and it keeps up with bikes 2-3x the hp and refuses to die! I don't know how to adjust the valves on a 4-stroke, let alone a Chinese one. If any of you know how to adjust the valves on a Gio X31 250cc I would appreciate the help! Do I need to pull the engine for this? Thanks

    GPX Moto FSE 250R thread

    So i was able to pickup a new GPX Moto FSE250R this week. (Yesterday) I hope to get it uncrated and assembled this weekend for some better shots, but I've been taking a few just so I can remember how clean it was new!! This is the first year of these bikes; the Pitster Pro LXR 250 EFI was it's predecessor. They also have some other models: an air-cooled 250 and a 230cc 2-stroked that runs a Yama-clone DT Lanza motor (40hp). Decided to buy one after getting to test ride a couple on some local singletrack last week. As I started unpacking it the quality and attention to small details have blown me away. Much nicer than I'm used to! Like the LXR, this motor runs the NC250. It is 4-valve OHC motor that makes 25-30 hp depending on who you ask. This motor is used in a ton of bikes and brands ranging from AJP to CSC's RX-3. NC250: For now, I just wanted to drop a few detail photos of the bike as I uncrate: LED tail:
  8. Please help! I recently bought a Yz250f and have not been able to start it, it Has spark, but there are many issues with the carby which I wanna rule out before I leap into a rebuild, ( I want to avoid a rebuild if possible as I’m low on cash). The carby at the moment is a complete mess so the usual steps to fixing it might not work. So here’s the deal with the carb: - It’s leaking fuel from overflow ( really fast! ) and when I mean really fast, I mean it emptied my fuel tank in 2 mins. - It has a slow leak coming from somewhere under the float bowl - the air fuel screw is not adjusted correctly - I don’t know if the electrics work on it either - I don’t even know if it’s shooting fuel into the cylinder or not, as after kicking it a couple times and it’s not starting I remove the spark plug and it’s still dry. ( I tried putting fuel directly into cylinder from the spark plug hole but the bike still wouldn’t start) okay so I know it’s a lot but I’m not expecting anyone to answer every single question themselves. If each person could tackle whatever problem they know it would help heaps. Also just want to know what Order to fix things in as I can’t do air fuel until the bike is running and it won’t run unless I stop the leaking and get it to spray fuel into the cylinder. And buying a new carby is not an option ( I’ve got $40 to my name atm). Please help guys thanks.

    1999 yz 250 wont start

    I went out riding for the day and on the way back home i fouled my plug so i walked it the rest of the way and i took a wire brush and cleaned my plug and it started first kick. I noticed it was a bit rich on the pilot so i adjusted the fuel/air screw and got it running really good but then i saw coolant steaming out of the radiator cap so i quickly turned it off and later in the week i diagnosed it as a blown head gasket so i ordered it and replaced it and didn't start but it backfires out the exhaust when i kick it. I even tried bump starting it towed behind a quad and still nothing but i heard it fire every so often but didn't start so then i started tearing the bike down cleaned the carb really good got all the jets, replaced the pilot air screw since it was missing parts, got a new spark plug cap since it was rusty inside and the plug was loose in there, took apart and cleaned the power valves, cleaned the spooge out of the expansion chamber and silencer but still wouldn't start so now i don't know what to do i think it might be a timing problem since its backfiring but i really need some more opinions before i start f-ing with it.

    91 octane

    So I have a 2013 Yamaha yz450f and I am wondering if I can run 91 octane I live on a farm and we have 91 octane here to get any higher I have to drive 23km one way. It's stock and has 12.5:1 compression
