    Beta 300 RR (2014)

I just got it today.. didn't ride it yet but I'm betting it's a great bike. I'll rate it best for now because it's a 2 stroke 300 with 6 gears and good electric start.. It was bike of the year last year but I'm going to have to judge for myself on Sunday. :)..oh yea .I don't know why but my 300 is a 2013 but there's no listing for that in the garage. Update.. this bike got stolen.. great bike.. and I'm still looking for it.. but I bought a new one it was so good.. It's the best bike that I've ever ridden.

    BYOB 300RR Questions

After much thought and deliberation, I am going to most likely order a Beta 300RR this winter. I was looking at the KTM 300 XC/XC-W and Husky TE300, but I want to go red. Thie bike will be used primarily for singletrack trail riding (75%) and Hare Scramble/Enduro (25%). However, I am not sure on a few details on the Beta 1) I am leaning toward the "Race Edition" model, but I really like the oil injection that the normal 300RR comes with. I dont know if this is a serious item or not, but looks really slick and there isnt an option through Beta to add it. 2) Forks... I am unsure how the stock Sachs forks are on either bike, looks like the Race Edition has a fork upgrade... I love the KYB on my YZ250X. I emailed Beta a few times and they thought the $999 factory kit would be the best option. Im willing to spend the $ on it, but its hard to tell if the fork upgrade is necessary on either 300. I want the best bike possible but I hate throwing good $ after bad, and it's not like you can ride one and then ride the upgraded on to compare. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -Andy

New 300 rr in my future?

I am currently riding a 2012 450 rr and have enjoyed it. I have had the suspension revalved, a steering damper, flexx bars and rbp rubber sub mount. The bike has been good for 80 hrs and I am comfortable on it. My local dealer will give me 5k$ trade in on it. I am thinking about switching to a 300 rr. I have read a lot of reviews on both but would like some insight from you guys on the topic. Has anybody made this switch? If so what did you think? I have always owned four strokes so this change would take a bit of time on my part. Thanks for the replies.

    Kyle Redmond's 2015 300RR

If anyone out there is interested, I have Kyle Redmond's 2015 300RR Endurocross race bike for sale. It is just as he raced it at the last round in Ontario California in November. It has been serviced and washed, crated and sent out to our shop. The detail on this bike is incredible! I was going to keep it for myself and ride it but I just don't have the skills for a 2 stroke like this anymore! A 390RR is much more my speed! Here is a link to the Craigslist ad. http://spokane.craigslist.org/mcd/5379879141.html
  9. Hello everyone, I just sold my 2 up atv to get back into bikes . Im just a novice trail rider I had a wr250f and a ktm200 way back. I plan on buying 2 new bikes a ttr125 for my daughter but I'm having a hard time deciding on for me. Im 5'8 155lbs and was actually more interested in the 2stokes because of the intense maintenance schedule and cost of the 250fs. I want something fun but not rip my arms off fast because most of the riding here in pa. is 1st to 3rd gear and would love to have a reasonable seat height. Not interested in any of the play type bikes. Any suggestions and or experiences would be great. Thanks Frank

    Help Please!

Just picked my new Beta 300rr up from the dealer, they started it for the first time in the shop to set the idle up etc, it was running for about 2-3 minutes and when I've got home there's no oil been put in the oil tank. I'm not sure if the fuel they put in it was mixed but if not will it be ok? I'm panicking now. Thanks in advance.

    300RR In Da House

OK here she is Loaded up at the dealer Unloaded 30 minutes later at Sunshine Canyon staging area at 5 Mile Pass OHV area. Didn't have a lot of time. Was riding in street clothes with just a helmet. So I didn't get too crazy. Rode it as it was delivered no adjustments at all. Stopped coming down a wash called Rattler Quick first impressions -E-Start works awesome, -Clutch pull is very light. Nice -Power is very smooth and robust. -Running a little ratty but I assume it is stock jetting and I am flying at 5,000' at +60F -Kind harsh on rocks but I am assuming the tire pressure is probably way too high. -Suspension felt good and seemed to loosen up as I rode. Rear was nice and controlled and didn't feel like it always wanted to launch me/kick like PDS does. -Not sure about the bar bend. Felt a little strange but again even the controls are not adjusted to my liking. Truly off the dealer floor and ridden. - It feels lighter than my KTM - Overall smaller feel is nice. skinny in the middle which I like. - Very front end biased for steering which I also like. Reminds me of a Husky WR300 that I rode a few years back when I was thinking about getting one. Really like the way the Husky steered but did not like the height and the lefthand kicker with no e-start. Again I was not riding hard although towards the end it was begging me to push harder so I did kick up a little bit but still not full tilt since a get off with no protection but a helmet would have been very un-good. So I headed back to the truck before I got myself in troubled. This bike will definitely work for me.
  12. Anyone have a Core EXP 3.0 clutch installed on their 300 RR? I just put mine in and have found that I can't get any free play gain no matter what adjustment I make on the slave. I try to ride the bike, just as a test, and the bike accelerates but the clutch is in constant slip mode. I can rev up the engine and only go ~5 mph. I tore it apart and put it back together again. It's quite simple to do really, so I don't see how I could screw it up. I called Rekluse and they didn't seem to be able to help me. Any advice? Interesting tidbit, the instructions say 1 turn, plus 5 clicks after the starting point. I can go 1 turn, plus 4 ticks and I'm bottomed out and can't go any further.
  13. So I've had my 2016 300 RR for one whole riding season now and I've really had a blast on the bike. I pretty much love everything about it. The only negative for me is the suspension is a little harsh for the terrain I ride in. Here in norther new england its essentially nothing but sharp rocks and tall roots. I don't think any factory setup suspension is really going to work well in our terrain and thats simply the nature of it. Pretty much everyone I know here who's serious about riding gets their suspension tuned. Anyway Factory Connection's headquarters is about 30 minutes from my house, but sadly I was informed yesterday after asking that they do not service Beta's and their sachs suspension. I was hoping to be able to work with a suspension tuner that was familiar with our riding conditions as well as save some money with shipping and time all around. Anyway that being said I'm wondering who else out there is a good option, I know Stillwell of course, and I'm sure they'd do a fine job as many have had good experience with them, however I'd like to if possible save my self a good deal of money by going with a tuner whos just as capable but doesnt have a huge name attached to their pricing... Anyone have any suggestions? Especially anyone that has a Beta in new england and has had their stuff tuned for our terrain here. Pic for your viewing pleasure.

Great engine, You almost can't kill it. Smooth power from idle up. The suspension is nice and soft. Prefect for the woods and trails. The starter fires the motor before you can get your finger off the button. Oh yea, It's really pretty.

Great bike for off roading. I am not a track rider, strictly recreational woods riding. This seems to be the ultimate bike for what I do.

Electric start that works always. Never kick the bike. Bike doesn't overheat even on the slowest no air flow trails. Alot of lug and chug power which makes good traction. Suspension is very comfortable because it soaks up all trail trash effectively.

  22. Hi Guys, I bought myself a 14 300rr racing model and find the red zokes too harsh and stiff -(it's sprung correctly for my weight, i've tried everything to get them to work), and I just can't get on with them as I ride a lot of choppy, slow speed roots rocks etc. Can I fit a pair of Sachs open chamber forks straight onto the bike in my current clamps ? (Do I need to change the wheel, spacers or brake bracket ?) Are these sachs better for slower speed riding ? What rate spring rate do the sachs come with stock ? And do the red zoke springs fit into the sachs forks ? I appreciate any info, Thanks guys
  23. Went and rode an area I had never been too, Table Mountain/Lions Rock Campground (North out of Ellensburg, WA). Camp was at 6,360ft, which is pretty high for around here considering I am a sea level sorta guy. Was able to see the Milky Way plain as day when sitting out in a mountain meadow and watched the meteor showers for the first time ever. You don't get to see that stuff living near Seattle, WA. Rode through a forest that had burned about 3, maybe 4 years ago. Never really ridden that vast of an area that had burned. Some trees survived amongst the ghostly dead trees lost to the fire. Grasses and wild flowers are coming back, along with some low brush that is taking hold. Only managed 41 miles but was treated to some amazing vistas. I should have taken more pictures but I was "leading" our group and trying not to get lost on the horrible maps we had.... which brings me to the subject line. I stuffed the folded map in the little pouch on the seat of my 2016 300rr RE. Only other suggestions my friends have given me is "that is where the pictures of naked girls go" What is the official purpose of that pouch? Hope everyone got out and rode this weekend! Kevin
  24. I may be pulling the trigger on an XTrainer after riding my buddy's 300RR. It was a good bike, but a little more than what I'm looking for, and being that I've got short stubby legs, I figured the XT will better fit me. I'd be plating the bike and dual sporting it, 80-90% off-road orientation. Other than the plush suspension and extremely light weight, is the bike itself capable of 55mph cruising for a few miles of pavement to get to trails without screaming at 10k RPM the whole way? I know the XT has the top end chopped off compared to the 300RR, but I'm curious as to how that calculates on wide open stuff such as fire trails, dirt roads, etc. I'm not looking to do 100mph racing against the 4 strokes or anything like that, just want to comfortably cruise at traffic speed on the bike. Can she do it? Thanks!

    Wont Start!

Hello All I have a 15 300 and wont start when cold. I went from stock jetting 38/165 and stock needle in 4th clip from the top to the NECJ needle 3rd from top. It was running too lean where it was with thew NECJ, so I went back to stock jetting to see if that was the starting issue. Well, its not. I checked the pilot to see if its clogged, but its not. The bike gets spark, but there is a fuel issue. Any ideas would be appreciated. Once it gets started its fine Marc
