Background: 200lb (no gear) novice rider, ride MX and trails The stock spring rate on the bike is 4.3kg/mm. The KTM manual states that for a 187-209 lb. rider that the spring should be 45N/mm (approx. 4.6kg/mm) On the suspension websites, when I put it in my information, the recommendation is consistently for a 4.9kg/mm spring. Does the KTM manual perhaps use rider weight, with gear, as opposed to the suspension websites that use without gear? I'm trying to figure out which is right, although my spidey senses suggest I should be going with the 4.9 spring. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Got tired of fighting a motocross bike on the single track this year... have had my 450R for 15 years. The bike was just too much for me on the right single track that I find we ride now. So I bought this gem and brought it home yesterday. Going to go for a nice muddy break in ride today to see how she handles. Have done two heat cycles on it. Should be ready to go for a few hours, nothing extreme, then bring it home for a bath and an oil change.

Hi guys, probably a stupid question here, but I figure you can never be too safe. I have some Motorex 15w-50 from my 2010 KTM 250 XC (which I sold) and I was wondering if it would be okay to run in my 2014 KTM 350 XC-F which calls for Motorex 10w-50? What would be the side effects of running a 15w-50 instead of a 10w-50? Also, if you have any suggestions of good oil to run, please feel free to recommend it and give your reasons why. Thanks guys. (Attached is my 350)

What is the best two bike quiver? Type of riding is desert, single track, fast and flowy 2 track... basically all things off road. But also interested in exploring on long day and multi day rides - Think BDR type stuff or just adventures that might include a few hours of tarmac to get back off road. Ride and camp, explore etc. I currently own the 501fe and thinking about adding the Tenere 700. Maybe the best setup is the tenere or a ktm 790/890 and a 350xc-f although I am 6'3 and 205-210lbs. Would like to hear people thoughts about multi bike setups. Might grab a tw200 as well for fun around town, the west coast beaches and campgrounds... Thanks in advance!
