  1. Hello TT peeps. I currently have an 11' Ktm 450 exc which i am converting to sumo. Still on the fence about getting cush drive rims or standard rims. Not too much info on what cush drive does for wheelies. I know its smoother on the tranny and chain but will it make much of a difference with slower wheelies/stunting? I had a DRZ with standard rims and slower wheelies were very choppy and almost impossible to control smoothly. Any advice/tips/help will be much appreciated. 🙄 Also.... will 5" rims be pushing it for chain rub? Should i just stick with 4.25"?
  2. Hi All. I'm am trying to track down a new rubber diaphragm for the Brembo clutch master cylinder reservoir on my KTM 450 exc 2015 model. I can't seem to find this item sold separately. The current one is distorted and not sealing with the cover seal. I can only find complete master cylinders. Can anyone help or send me a link to replace this diaphragm.
  3. Hey! Plan to get 1 of these bikes but got some questions on which is best for my situation/need So my use of 1 one of these bikes will be: When im home i will use it as a street bike stock, only supermoto tires and changed gearing for street. I will not be going for more than 1 hour on the Street without pauses. Im often on a country place i know where there is forrests/woods with mixed types of trails all over the place where i have always wanted to go and explore as a kid. When im there i will change to normal stock tires and gearing So my questions are: How is the Exc 350 on road with Supermoto setup compared to the Exc 450 with same setup? What speed can the 350 reach without screaming/very high RPM compared 450? Can the Exc 350 hit 80 mph without very high rev? Will not cruise at 80 mph, just see if it can hit that speed with not very much effort. Because i wont be driving faster than that on road since that is 10 mph faster than the fastest roads here sort of. If the 350 can hit that without problems/super high RPM then is there is there really need for the 450? Why i considered the Exc 450 is because i want something that i will not sell withing in some months, that could be a possibility of happening if its too heavy compared to the Exc 350 etc but i mean POWER wise. I want a bike that i wont be bored of because it lacks power or slow etc, because i am not sure about that with the Exc 350, i dont know if i would want more power after a week of riding with it and thats why considering the Exc 450. On the forrests/woods area, is the 450 super heavy? The lighter the better because i want something that wont be too heavy for me when im exploring areas i have always wanted for years and not sit on a bike that i cant even move with, with my 140 lbs of weight. So the concerns for the 350 is: Too slow for road? Concerns for the 450: To heavy for offroad/forrests? (I will not be able to answer what my riding experince is questions etc, sorry and sorry for a lot of texts) Thanks if you could help ❤️
  4. So my 2015 KTM 450 EXC is chewing through the odometer batteries waaaaaaaay too quickly - as in it will only be a couple of rides until I get the R03 code on the speedo. Not sure if there is a relay somewhere that shuts off the battery power to the odometer or if there is something more nefarious going on. Can any electrical experts chime in and let me know where / what I should be looking at?
  5. Hows it going guys, new to the forum looking for some tips. So been looking at getting a dual sport for a while, buddy of mine runs a bmw dealership in my area. Long story short He took in a 06 450 exc on a trade. An older gentleman brought it in to trade in for a bmw. Said it had sat for some time but ran when last time he started it. Well it had probably sat for 2 years or so, the fuel in it wreaked. Super clean bike only has 2k miles on it, doesn’t look like it’s been beat on at all. So the as is price for the bike was 3600 out the door or I could’ve waited a week or two and the dealership would’ve done whatever needed to get it running but the price would’ve jumped to 5200 out the door. So figuring I could get it running for way less I bought it as is. Got it home flushed the tank, pulled the bottom plug on the carb, pulled the jets out and cleaned them. Put fresh gas pulled the plug and checked for spark, figured it might start up, well it didn’t. So I was just wondering what issues these bikes have from sitting for a long period like that. Anything specific to replace. Plan on pulling the carb apart and doing a rebuild kit next, anything else I should do? Thanks for the help.
