    250f vs 450f

Hey guys, I'm looking for some help on what size bike to get. I'm 6'1 and 165 lbs. I ride quite often and have decent experience on a bike. My friend that has been riding for about 10 years thinks I should get a 450 because they're more reliable. I ride trails pretty often but would like to learn how to ride tracks. I have ridden a 450 before but never a 250f. Any comments are appreciated

    Where does this part go?

I missed tracking where this little top hat came out of in my 2011 kx450f. Was thinking clutch or right side engine cover. Any help would be appreciated I can’t seem to find it in the manual.
  4. Alright, so I have recently been considering converting my 2017 yz450f into a semi-practical/street legal supermoto. It would be great if you guys could help me out. Thanks! Questions: Is there a way to install a lock on it? What else do I need? I know I need: tires, rims, brake disks, brakes, sprockets, headlight, horn, blinkers, speedometer, external battery, stator, brake lights, a plate.
  5. Hey! I'm relatively new to the Moses Lake area and pretty new to riding. I have an 09 YZ450F and looking for friends to ride with since I know no one around here. Riding alone is fun and all, but we all know riding with someone else is so much better! I don't mind traveling around and riding new trails, almost prefer it! Any y'all riding around Moses Lake/Spokane/Tri Cities areas?

  7. Okay... So... I have ridden now for probably four or five years, yesterday on my 16th birthday I got spoiled rotten from my family and I was gifted A 2017 CRF450R. I was just wondering what the differences are like from a 2 stroke... The biggest bike I have owned before was a 125cc two stroke. I have ridden a 450 and a 250f and decided I liked it. That's how i ended up with it.. So I only really know stuff from 2 strokes, like changing gears.. What kind of noise am i looking for? Any tips when hitting jumps? Corners? Please just any and all information is helpful Thank you.

    2012 WR450F - Bought used

Just picked up a 2012 WR450F with a claimed 3,800km. It looks like its been put through its paces and like the owner enjoyed crashing into lots of shit What are some of the common mods for this year? Grey wire mod? AIS/Smog removal? EFI mapping? Here are the issues: Electric start doesn't start the bike. It turns over but rarely starts. I end up having to use the kick. I've ridden a 2011 that never had this problem (Still carbureted). I'm going to check the valves but not sure what else to do. The EFI choke doesnt help E-start, hot or cold. The "check engine" light came on during the first ride. I stopped riding for a bit, started back up and it was off. But I didnt ride anymore after that. I called the previous owner but he claimed it never happened to him. Again, I'm going to check the valves. Also it runs very hot. Maybe a temperature issue. I will do a flush and run engine ice. See if the light comes back on. Hoping to not have to take it to a Yamaha dealer to see what codes its giving but will probably have to? I dont own a tuner. So far those are the only issues that alarm me. I will probably get a compression tester and do a test just for kicks. So if anyone is familiar with this EFI, 5 valve head style Yamaha, let me know what to look out for, what to do, how to make it run better etc. Right now its not running as nice a a 2011 with a full FMF system and quickshot accelerator pump mod. But I'm holding off on getting a slip on as I'm not sure I even want to keep the thing now. Any advice welcomed, thanks!

    Does this cam look damaged

Does this cam look damaged? I bought a used one online but can't tell if it's good or bad. The right side doesn't feel perfectly smooth but yet it doesn't feel scratched either.
