  10. I purchased a "brand new" KTM 85sx for my son at a motorsport dealership. At the 20 hour maintainence appointment, at a different KTM dealership, I was told by the mechanic that the "brand new" bike had an aftermarket oversize piston installed with signs of previous repair. The piston and cylinder showed wear nearing the end of service life. It was reccomended to replace the piston and size/replate/hone cylinder to match. Estimated cost:$750+ My question is: Why would a "brand new" bike have an oversize piston and signs of previous repairs?! What would you do?

  12. So Recently I came across a good deal on a 2011 ktm 85 for my girlfriend that I couldnt pass up. I know that the manual suggests motorex, but I have always used Yamalube because it is easy to get and has done a great job at lubricating my yz250. Does anyone else have any experience with Yamalube in their KTM? I have heard rumors that factory KTM and factory Honda uses or use to use Yamalube in their bikes. Do you guys think that motorex (or belray because husky calls for belray and their the same engine) would be better in this ktm.

In the junior class from 11 to 15 years of age, there are no longer any beginners pootling around. This is where future champions fight for victory, whether it be in the Junior WC or a regional championship. The 85 SX is regarded as a winning bike in this scene. With the most powerful engine in the field and an ultra-light, sturdy chassis, it has nothing to fear from any full-size bike. 17. I am 13 years old, about 5'2", 110 lbs, and I am bored with the power of my TT-R125L and I am looking to size up in the near future. I have ridden a KX85 that belonged to a friend of mine and I was comfortable with its power, however I have never owned a two stroke and I don't know what the maintenance of these bikes would be like. I am interested in getting either a CRF150R, any of the two stroke 85s, or possibly a KX100. I would be looking for the ones that are cheapest to maintain and have the most power. Which of these puts out the best top end power? Is the CRF worth the extra couple hundred dollars?
  18. hi i am 11 and 5 foot and i was wondering if i should get a 150r or an 85cc 2 strokes. the bike i ride now is a 04 drz 110 with a few mods. i am hoping to get a new bike by next year but i dont know which one
