REDUCE THE IMPACT ON YOUR WRISTS AND ARMS The Offroad SHOKOUT Grip System allows the left grip to rotate slightly forward and backward with rider-selected dampening. This reduces wrist strain, hand blistering, arm pump and fatigue according to Boyesen engineers. Three pairs of color-coded dampers are supplied for soft, medium or firm rotation resistance. Riders can customize the amount of shock absorption and vibration dampening they want to match their individual styles.

Plenty of power. Outdated suspension that feels uneasy and wild. Not confidence inspiring.

What's the point of owning it if I can't give it 5 stars?! Seriously, I'm new to the dirt bike world. I've had a Harley, but never played in the dirt. I bought the bike and I'm completely going through it, and making it a dual sport and street legal. The only thing I won't touch is the motor for now, as it was just overhauled before I got it. I think this bike will have more power than I need and will put a smile on my face every time I ride her.
  8. Can anyone help me with adjusting my fuel/air mix with a Boyesen Quickshot carburetor? I see a black knob but as far as I know all it does is adjust the idle. I cant seem to find a guide on how to lean out or make it richer. It's on an 05 kx250f. When I'm at the bottom of the rpm range in first or second gear and dump the throttle too hard, the engine cuts out for a second. Am I running too rich?

Ran this last year just as I bought it and now throwing $ in the pot. It was in horrible shape and everything is being replaced. Still a work in progress, but it will be in like new condition soon.
  11. Carson Giles and James Rhodes have been working hard to get their bike prepped to race on behalf of the ThumperTalk community in the Caselli Challenge this Friday at Glen Helen Raceway. Carson shot us over this pic of the bike with its full custom graphics from the Folks at MotoFXGraphics.com installed on all new Acerbis USA bodywork. We think they came out great! Other parts include Malcolm Smith Racing (MSR) Impact handguards & skid plate, Boyesen Factory Racing Clutch & Ignition Covers as well as their SuperCooler kit. The bike is sitting on an MSR Podium bikestand and we'll be setting sag at the track using Slacker Digital Sag Scales provided by the Folks at Motool. Of course, thanks to FMF and the Caselli Foundation for kindly reserving two race team slots for us! Interested in helping us support the off-road racer safety efforts of the Kurt Caselli Foundation? An aero-form reed valve that corrects the problems associated with existing reed valve designs Maintains flow velocity through the valve and re-directs the intake charge for even distribution to the intake ports Provides quicker, sharper throttle response and more horsepower. 1-piece aluminum casting; no manifolds to trim or plastic pieces to insert. Boyesen Pro Series RAD Reeds included.
  14. Been a member on here for while, but never really posted much. I don't really get much time to get on the forums anymore even just to read, but I wanted to share the project I am currently working on. It's been going on for a bit now so I am going to post up some older pics. My phone died and I lost the pics so I had to snag some off my instagram so they may not be the best. I bought this 2008 KX250F off a semi pro racer probably 2 years ago and it sat as I didn't have the time to work on it along with other stuff I was working on. When I bought it, it didn't run, but in general was in good shape. The guy I bought it from was about 150lbs and I am 190 so It definitely needed more than a valve job for me to use. I always had basket case bikes that I bought cheap and fixed just enough to ride and then would end up selling them as I don't have much place to ride. Now I have more places to ride I decided I wanted a nice bike set up for myself and built how I want it from the ground up. So here we go: This is when I picked up the bike: Started breaking the bike down: The reason why the bike doesn't run: Moved the bike from my house to a garage I set up to work in: And took it apart more:
