  1. Anyone know where I can purchase a rebuild kit for the rear brake caliber on a 1988 Kawasaki KX 125 F1 model? The dust boot seal on this one is finished, the piston is pitted in a few spots and the bleed nipple is clogged with dirt and rust. So far I have only found kits for 1989 G1 models onwards.
  2. Hi everyone! I'm looking at some alternative suppliers to the ridiculous OEM prices for some parts. I have a 1996 XR250s (MD30) Japanese import to the UK. It's a pain in the ass to get parts for sometimes, even though I have the parts fiche. I am based in the UK but I have the luxury of travelling to the USA fairly frequently for work so I usually end up doing an OEM order from Partzilla and have it delivered to a USA address which keeps the costs to a minimum. At the moment I'm doing a front caliper/brake refurbishment and I'm looking for the following caliper pistons and rotor (brake disc for the euro's!) Rotor/Disc 240mm OEM from Partzilla (4351-KV6-670) is $140! Are there any alternatives that would be a straight swap?? Pistons are 27mm x 27mm OEM Part number (45107-MY1-006) they are £35/$46 each in the UK and not available on partzilla. Would appreciate any advice / info! Cheers!

    Braking Brake Caliper

    1 review

Produced from forged 6082 aluminum alloy and CNC finished Floating, to be fitted on bracket with pistons on external side only Reduced pistons size (28mm) to obtain better hydraulic ratio between the Braking caliper and OEM master cylinder Gives the correct braking power and feeling combination with the pistons size of the most sold master cylinder Can fit same caliper body on multiple applications by just replacing the bracket Pads found easily in the market
  6. got this 05 cr85 and rebuilt the front caliper and master cylinder and new brake pads. The front brake lever still gives way and will not hold pressure(I think I'm saying that right could need a vacuum not sure on the nomenclature). What I'm trying to say is, the brakes work if you build up the pressure on the lever by pulling it in numerous times quickly and will last and work fine for about 2min then it fades away and you have to pump the lever again to build up the pressure. This is all stock brake system. So do the stock brakes just suck or do I suck and messed something up on the rebuild install? I think it was an all balls brake rebuild kit that I got for both master cylinder and caliper. The only thing I could think of that would be bad now is the front brake line like if it had a small tiny tiny hole in it somewhere. The brake system is not leaking anymore after I did the repair though. Is this a common problem? what are my options here?
  7. Im new to the forum and Im not sure if this is the right place to post but here it is. I took just my rear tire into the shop to get the tube replaced. when i put the tire back on my 2003 wr450 the tire was hard to spin. i rode the bike around the block to see i could hear or feel anything. the bike comes to quicker stop than normal when i let off the throttle like the brakes are on and there is a squeaking coming from the brakes and the rotor is very hot. I didn't have this problem before i removed the tire to get the tube changed. any suggestions?
