  1. Hello all So I bought a 2018 crf110 about a month ago and haven't ridden it due to a back injury. I had started it and ran it a few times just to keep gas from getting stagnant. It normally starts within a kick or two, no problems. I installed a Pro Taper tall bar kit yesterday and now the bike won't start. I cleaned the carb when I had it all apart and everything was put back together correctly(already have pulled it apart and made sure). I made sure the slide was moving up and down without slack, only thing is it doesn't completely close off the opening when down(not sure if it's supposed to or not, I added slack and it wouldn't go any further down) It will start once in a while for a second or two then shut off. The only time it starts it has the choke on. I am sure it's getting fuel(turned fuel on and opened the drain on the bowl) but not sure about spark. I took the plug out and held it against the cylinder while kicking and didn't look like any spark. It was black and smelled like gas. I did clean it off and used some sand paper on it but didn't see anything. It's been a while since I've worked on these bikes, how can I check for sure I've got power going to the spark plug? Where should I start? Any help would be appreciated!
  2. Moved to the Pacific islands. Before moving , I had the bike rejetted. Got here and it’s running worth a damn. Compared the jetting to a 2017 model with the same carb. Only difference is the main needle. my Honda dealer Back home can’t seem to find the needle I’m after. Can somebody help me...? The current needle is marked: d38b it can’t be adjusted up or down there’s no slots for the needle clip The needle on the other bike that runs great is marked as : d36d it does have adjustable positions can someone help me with a part number or something I can provide to my dealer back home or DHL courier me this needle. I can cover all costs via PayPal. Just want to get this kids bike rolling thx guys
  3. Hi all, I am new to the forums so I didn't read any forum rules yet, but I have a really urgent question. Today I picked up my new CRF110 2019/2020 (Not sure if it is 2019 of 2020, but that will be another post), originally Honda always puts break-in oil in the engine to run with for the first hour, hour-and-a-half. It was build up at the dealer I bought it from, it just came out of crate 20 minutes before I arrived, because it was special ordered for me. We both were in the assumption that there would be (enough) oil in the engine and they had it run for about 10 minutes, I have had it run for about 10 minutes and did some riding with it on the streets, low speed and just going through the gears when I felt that shifting was not going smoothly. So about 30-40 minutes run time, we went to check the oil level and there was no oil on the dipstick. We added about 350-450ml of oil before we saw some oil on the dipstick. Is this normal in a new CRF110? Less oil of course means less oil to slush around and less load on the engine, 600-650ml could be enough just for break in, but I want to make sure this is not an issue. Thanks in advance!
  4. I have a 2017 CRF 110 F, that has been slightly used and very well-maintained. Just completed a recent oil change and tuneup, and lately it has not been shifting from neutral to first gear on a consistent basis. I can hear it click when pushing up on the shift lever, and can even hear it click again when trying to shift into first, but after the third or fourth time it will go into first gear. Many times it shifts just fine And there has never been an issue shifting once it is in gear, it’s only when it starts out. Any help would be great.
  5. Just bought a crf110 yesterday from the dealer, and today the check engine light is flashing. Im going to take it back to honda but curious of what it could be. Now it wont start either. It just keeps turning over. It flashes 7 times on the pgm-fi malfunction indicator. Crazy its only the second day.
  6. Ever since my first set of brake pads wore out on my front brakes they ave not been working or if they did they would not stop the bike or squeak.I tried to replace the brake pads more than once and the same thing happens.I even replaced the cover plate for them.Any ideas what is going on?
  7. G’day all Can anyone tell me the ohm resistance readings range I should be getting from my coils for Honda crf110 2014. Thanks
  8. hello everyone. im looking to buy this dirtbike, but im wondering what model is it, he clames its a honda 110cc crf but which model? or maybe its a xr50 im not too sure but any help will be amazing, also he says its not ruuning. once we find out what model it is it would be great to find some issues that could be stopping it from starting, it looks like it has a chinese carby on it so that could be the issue thank you everyone
  9. My 7 year old bent his oem bars on his 2021 CRF110F. Looking to replace the oem bars with aftermarket of the same size. Everywhere I look talks about pitbike replacement for adults that requires extending the cables. I just need more durable bars (protaper, renthal?) that replicate the size of the steel oem ones that are of better quality that we can use the oem cables. I don't mind getting a full throttle tube so we can use normal size grips. Any recommendations?
  10. Hi, My son's 2014 CRF 110 has what I believe is a stretched chain. It's the stock chain but the bike hasn't been used that much which is why I think it's lasted as long as it has. I've pulled the back wheel as far as it will go and there is still much to much play in the chain. I've never replaced a chain before so a few basic questions. 1. It looks like I can put a new chain on without taking the back wheel off. If I don't need to change the back sprocket (which I don't think needs changing), is there any other reason I should take off the wheel? 2.I see there is a chain breaking tool. Other than that, do I need any other specialized tools? 3. Or is it easy to mess this up and should I just take it to the shop? Thanks Mike
  11. So I've been trying to find a good upgrade for my 14' CRF110f. I have already done the motor (134cc kit with big valves, cam and carb) I just replaced the front fork rods with the longer upgraded type from BBS and serviced them so it feels so good now compared to how it was before, really help when the forks actually have oil in them, who woulda thought!?? Haha.. I also got better bars and added a bright LED light. Anyway now I have to do the rear end. I saw a while back but cant find it anymore an air shock from a mountain bike that was able to be used. And also I'd probably want to do the swingarm as well but unsure of the advantage they provide? Anyone here ever upgraded the rear end and if so what route did you take? Thanks in advance fellas!

  13. G'day, my yz125 shock is shot and I used my mates little sisters ttr90 as a backup and managed to make it up the hardest hill I have ever attempted (I wouldn't have made it up on the yz125) and had the most fun I've ever had trail riding before and I've been thinking. I do a lot of hill climbing and technical forest / mountain riding and was wondering, would it be possible to make the crf110 a trail beast? I'm more of a Honda boy and wanted to get the biggest / most powerful autoclutch bike I could find then make it even quicker. i think the reason i had the most fun I've ever had is because I didn't have to focus on my clutch when climbing super hard hills and could just pin it no matter what (then just whip the throttle to get over logs and rocks) . I am a relatively okay rider but just love the ease of just clicking into gear and going. I know clutch isn't hard but for the riding i do, I definitely notice my own flaws and sometimes it makes it a bad experience when I dump a tall bike on a steep hill and have trouble even getting enough balance to help the bike up. IN SHORT: I'm looking around and seeing if turning the CRF110F (fuel injected with e start) into a mountain goat of the trail bike would be a good idea and how would i go about making it the best trail bike possible. is it possible to put bigger wheels on it so I'm not just bottoming out on every second rock? (throw budgets and time out the window, I'm also looking for a big project) Cheers guys! and have fun riding!
  14. I was wondering what mods I should put on my 2006 Honda CRF150f? Also what big bore would be the best for a CRF150f? I can feel the power of the bike, just wanna put a big bore on it... I was thinking a 197cc or 179cc would be good but I do not know! Here is my YouTube channel, I have 855 subscribers, I do Moto vlogs, come check it out. https://youtube.com/channel/UC_5qKxFyvoGkWB7oVTN_Xgw
  15. Swapping out the stock tires on my sons CRF110 and it looks like the front tire size is not even made. It is a 70/100-14, and the closest I can find is 60/100-14. Will that size tire fit? I found this topic in another thread from a few years back, but the question wasn't really answered.
  16. Hey guys, dont post on here much. Got out of moto about 5 years ago when i bought my house. Im now 29 and miss it allot. 17. Rebuilt a friend of mine's stock crf110 and the OEM cdi box is junk. Does anyone know of a stock replacement CDI box that is reasonable in price? (OEM is $113) I know there are chinese made CDI boxes that will fit most any bike but I can't find anything specifically for a CRF110, just smaller CRFs/XRs. I have the same bike (2017 CRF110, will be far from stock shortly) and I will be looking to get an aftermarket CDI/rev box in the near future but have heard very mixed reviews on the reliability of the BBR rev box. Does anyone have any better recommendations? I have not seen a TokyoMods, Takegawa, or Kitaco CDI box that will work on a CRF110.
  18. Hi all I'm totally new to bikes (I just didn't grow up with them in my life), however my 3 kids tries a Yamaha PW50 on the weekend and absolutely loved it. Now they are begging me for a bike for xmas haha. My kids are 7, 9 and 12. My 12 year old son was clearly too tall for the PW50 but that didn't stop him from having a ball on it. The bike will not be for racing...in fact, it will probably leave our property on very rare occasions. We have 3 acres and it will be mainly for puttering around on that. I have done a little research and am 99% sure I will go with a Honda. But I am not sure on the 50 or 110. I was initially set on the 50 as my kids are beginners (first ride on PW50 yesterday for 30min each). Saying that my eldest pretty much mastered the PW50 in his 30min on the weekend. But then I am afraid the jump to the 110 will be too much for them. The youngest two aren't ready to change gears so is leaving the 110 in 2nd gear (or perhaps 3rd) ok? Also I am 88kg and wouldn't mind jumping on for a bit of fun from time to time. I know the 50 is rated to 40kg but Ive read that people 100kg+ ride these without issues? I like how the 110 has EFI and also electric start. I'm really on the fence with this one. I'm probably leaning towards the 50 still but I'm sure I'll change my mind a hundred times in the next few days. Any suggestions? Cheers!!
  19. Hey guys, hopefully someone can help me out here. I was hoping to install full sized grips on my daughter's 2017 crf110. Apparently there is a throttle tube that can be used from another model?
  20. It’s an 2001 xr100. wife was riding her Honda xr100 when it started puttering when giving it gas. It then died and couldn’t be restarted. Also the kick lever got stuck and I have to put it in gear and rock it back and forth the free it. When I put it in neutral the kickstart is stuck. Thanks for the help!
  21. This is on a Honda CRF 100f board out to 125 supposedly from previous owner the intake valve is loose literally can’t move the valve back-and-forth when setting the gap I noticed it was loose this can’t be normal or is it? The whole reason for this bike shut off while riding it can’t get it restarted did all the other check spark plugs changed the CDI box carburetor all checked out
  22. Buddy was riding, jammed the folding tip shifter into the dirt and jammed the shift up. Went into maybe a false neutral? It has a shift shaft brace and tweaked the shift shaft. Now in mid to high RPM it will not shift into 2nd or 3rd. I have to let the rpms get low to change. It changes gears just fine then. Also, when in neutral and I try to pull up on shifter and hold it there. It goes immediately into gear and does to allow me to launch. any ideas? Have a new shift shaft brace on the way. appreciate any help or ideas. 2020 CRF110
  23. I would consider myself mechanically inclined, but these front brakes are giving me a hard time. we replaced the pads back in January and ever since then it seems like the constantly need to be adjusted. the new pads seem like they have plenty of life left in them. Last night I cleaned the drum and pads with brake cleaner and sanded the drum with sand paper. It seems like no matter how much i adjust i cannot get the brakes to work properly. I need to start from ground zero i guess. The brake lever, cable, spring are all good. Where should i start with the adjustment screw at the brake lever, all the way in, all the way out or in the middle? same for the lever at the drum, all the way out, in, or in the middle? I know you can clock the piece that attaches and actually moves the pads, so should i try to clock it to get more movement out of the brake arm? currently i have the two dots lined up on the arm and the piece that actually moves the arm. I appreciate any comments and help you could offer.
  24. Picked up a 2021 crf110 for my son and want to take it to the dunes (we live in WA, and its the only place to ride right now). What are some recommendations for tires, front and rear? I assumed paddle tire for the rear, but is the front necessary to change as well?
