A usualy ride motorcycles. 1/ Both front brake levers Very stiff , only move in 1/2 inch....guess need bleeding ? 2/ Transmisssion oil leak from front diff around main shaft seal.....big job ?? 3/ 4x4/4x2 light on dash stays on (although I dont know if it is supposed to be lit up by a bulb) the lcd in black stays on regardless of switch possition...I can here a servo when switch is latched either way. 4/ The Dash sates "service soon" , when I have a reciept that a service has just been done. Plus it gives the welcome message in last owners name. Can I reset this myself ? 5/ Where are the front light fuses ?.... They were working until I switched the key from ON to ON with the light bulb sign, now they wont work. Yes, I know they should work in the middle poss only, but in this case not. Any help would be much appriciated thanks
  2. NASHVILLE, TN – September 21, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – BRP (TSX: DOO) introduced its first utility side-by-side vehicle, the Can-Am Defender, at its semi-annual dealer meeting where it was met with great enthusiasm by the approximately 2,300 dealers and distributors in attendance from 65 countries. Can-Am Defender: A utility vehicle for farmers, hunters and estate owners Can-Am Spyder: Expansion of F3 line-up Sea-Doo: New 300-hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine takes riding to the next level “This event is one of our biggest ever! It demonstrates the strength of our distribution network, its enthusiasm for our new products and its commitment to our brands,” said Anne Bélec, senior vice-president, Global Brand and Strategy. “They are looking for products that will appeal to consumers by their design and technologies as well as their comfort, durability and performance.” New Can-Am Defender utility side-by-side vehicle For those who know the Can-Am brand, BRP makes its debut in the utility side-by-side segment by injecting some of the Can-Am DNA into the Defender model. The Can‑Am Defender vehicle was designed and engineered from the ground up, to establish new standards in terms of torque and power, as well as versatility to cater to all types of outdoor activities. BRP leveraged its proven Rotax engine technology to create a work-focused version of the durable V-Twin Rotax engines, specially calibrated to offer the best torque of the industry: the new Rotax 50-hp HD8 or 72-hp HD10 engines. Can-Am Spyder For 2016, BRP will expand its presence in the largest segment of the motorcycle industry, the cruiser segment, with additions of the F3-T and F3 Limited models to its existing F3, F3-S and F3 Special Series vehicles in the Can-Am Spyder F3 line-up. These new models are loaded with comfort and convenience features to offer greater freedom, flexibility, and extra cargo space. All Spyder F3 models are equipped with BRP’s exclusive UFit system that allows riders to adjust their riding position to find a truly customized fit, feel and riding experience. Sea-Doo takes riding to the next level… again! Many innovations to the Sea-Doo line-up, including the first intelligent braking system (iBR), first on-water suspension and more recently the Sea-Doo Spark watercraft have made the Sea-Doo brand number one in the personal watercraft industry. In 2016, BRP is taking it to the next level with a 300-hp model equipped with the new Rotax 1630 ACE engine: bigger, more efficient and more powerful than any engine ever produced under the Rotax brand. The combination of the increased power and efficiency of the Rotax 1630 ACE engine, the confidence provided by the advanced ergonomics of the Ergolock system and the control and peace of mind that come with the intuitive iBR system will bring the rider experience to the next level. NASCAR sponsorship In addition to introducing an array of parts, accessories and clothing (PAC) to match the riding style of Can-Am and Sea-Doo customers, BRP also announced a partnership agreement with Kappa, a sport performance clothing manufacturer, who will introduce four clothing collections, including one exclusive to BRP’s Can-Am dealer network. Through this agreement, BRP’s Can-Am brand becomes a sponsor of Kappa’s GoFAS racing team in NASCAR’s 2016 Sprint Cup. “We are putting everything in place so that 2016 can be a phenomenal year for BRP, its dealers and our customers,” concluded Bélec. “We have great products: we are entering the side-by-side utility segment, the largest in that industry, with a vehicle that stands out from all the others with tough features, capable performance and clever adaptability. We are also expanding our Can-Am and Sea-Doo line-ups, offering strong PAC and adding fantastic product recognition through the NASCAR sponsorship.” About BRP BRP (TSX: DOO) is a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of powersports vehicles and propulsion systems. Its portfolio includes Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft, Can-Am all-terrain and side-by-side vehicles, Can-Am Spyder roadsters, Evinrude and Rotax marine propulsion systems as well as Rotax engines for karts, motorcycles and recreational aircraft. BRP supports its line of products with a dedicated parts, accessories and clothing business. With annual sales of over CA$3.5 billion from 107 countries, the Company employs approximately 7,600 people worldwide. www.brp.com @BRPnews

CanAm any ds 650 guys on here

Alright here's my problem. I have a ds650. My friend had the opportunity to get one for fairly cheap ( he really likes mine) and it just doesn't get spark. The guy before us said it needed a stator. Basically all the electrical components have been replaced and she doesn't want to run. I'm waiting.for.more info on what all has been replaced ( I'm away at college) and what it does and so fourth. I've never had a problem on mine and rarely run into a bike that defeats me. Anyways, I want my snow wheeling buddy for winterbreak

  7. I have a 2007 Can Am Outlander 650 Max XT. Practically impossible to shift. I feel like I will break the lever off trying to get it to move. Have read the posts about the one-way clutch, bearings etc. I have done all that it is no better. Any help appreciated. Thanks Ken
  8. Ok... I might be buying a used Renegade 500 tomorrow. 11000kms on the clock Looked at the last service report which was done yesderday from a garage. The Only advisory states it predicts the primary clutch rollers will need replacing. I dont think this is a big job ? but how much do they cost ? and is there a risk of any other related problems that go hand in hand ? I am used to motorcycles, so I am quite good with mechanics on them, but never had a quad before
  9. I have a 2004 bombardier 330 outlander H.O other than the multiple batterys i run threw it there is no modifications done to the wiring, and i even have my winch disconnected to try to solve this problem ive been have since about the end of august. So the problem im having is i have a re-accuring problem of the battery, I recently bought a brand new batter from the dealership a few weeks ago now, and i installed it in the bike and checked the voltage, it read 12.6 volts and around 12.4. Now heres the scheme the bike runs great with NO PROBLEM whatsoever. Shut it off, and your in trouble, it will not roll back over, as if to have lost too much voltage to roll the starter over, now i had spent about roughly 4 grand in the bike for parts and labor in the past 2 years and its been in and out and they cant see a problem with it to diagnose, ive replaced the battery, replaced the rectifier/regulator, and checked as much of the harness as possible. and i cant find NOTHING! Does anybody have a click to a clue what is going on. Like how can a bike run soo good, and then just not start back up when you hit the starter button the bike doesnt even attempt to roll, yah hear a faint roll and then its like too much compression and not enough power going to the starter so it stops. If anybody can help or give me a place to look id greatly appreciate it.

  14. VALCOURT, QUEBEC/CANADA - May 5, 2016 - (Motor Sports Newswire) - Performance driver and Can-Am ambassador Ken Block, of “Gymkhana” video fame, has lifted the cover off of his modified Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles. Block and his Hoonigan team have personalized his units to fit his lifestyle, and have taken the first steps in their plan for showcasing the performance capabilities of the Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles. "Ken Block and his team have produced two stylish Maverick X rs 1000R Turbo side-by-side vehicles. They designed each vehicle with personality, functionality, yet didn't alter the vehicles' design too much from those models currently available in Can-Am dealerships. These photos have instant appeal to performance enthusiasts around the world," said Marc-André, director, Global Marketing, Can-Am Off-Road. Block’s team transformed the 131-horsepower, two-seat Can-Am Maverick X rs 1000R Turbo into a desert-conquering, recreational racer, complete with Lonestar Racing for Can-Am accessories and custom Beard Seats. The Hoonigan “surgeons” also built upon the Can-Am Maverick MAX X rs 1000R Turbo unit’s sporty-and-comfortable four-seat platform by converting it to a family getaway rig and mountain bike hauler. "I'm super stoked on how these two builds turned out," said Block on his Hoonigan Racing Division blog. "Can-Am has such an amazing platform from which to build with these things. The fact that they come turbo from the factory is a huge plus to me, since it means I don't have to mess around with a ton of aftermarket engine stuff to have the speed and power that I want right out of the box. My team did a great job upgrading these though.” The Hoonigan Racing Division started by unveiling the customized Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicle beauty shots taken at the Hoonigan headquarters in Park City, Utah. With gobs of appeal from their head-turning good looks, mods and factory-installed performance, Block couldn’t wait for phase 2, which was the action shoot in the high desert of Utah. “My favorite thing about these Can-Am Off-Road Maverick X rs Turbo UTVs is that they’re pretty much a cross between two of my favorite vehicles: a dirt bike and a rally car,” stated Block, a skilled World Rally Championship racer, X Games medalist and viral video icon. Block and his team have shared the Can-Am build story, stellar images and more exciting info on the custom Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles on his social media channels and on the Hoonigan Racing Division blog: www.hooniganracing.com/blog/KB-Custom-Can-Am-Maverick-Turbos/
  15. I'm going tomorrow to look at buying a new '15 Commander 1000 xt. I'm getting a good price for it, $13800 just curious as to what the opinion is of these. I've been on bikes my whole life but at 42 yrs old i need something a little less physically demanding! lol
  16. Tomorrow morning, I'm looking at a used, 2013 Can-am outlander Max 1000. Pics look like its in good condition. Guy says its a bit beat up he said its been on its side twice, low speed and he says he turned it upright quickly. He said the front A-Arm covers are gone. some cosmetic plastic is scratched/broken. Pictures show the damage, but it looks to be in good condition in the pics. i'm looking at it tomorrow morning. Other than the obvious (ride, check function of 4x4, etc), what should I look for on this ATV? I've looked around, no specific concerns about 2013 that I can find. Thanks!

    CanAm Traxter/Buck Catching at TDC

I am working on an 04 John Deere Buck, which is a Bombardier Traxter. Had it in to clean the carb and had it running fine. Turned it off to finish a few things, when I went to start it again it cranked and then stopped. It is hanging up at TDC, I pulled the side cover off and was able to get it to turn over by hand eventually by going back and forth using the crankshaft nut. At first it had a little catch and then loosened up. Put it back together, tried to start it. Turned over a couple times and did it again. Now it won't go past TDC. I am thinking it is probably a bad connecting rod bearing or maybe some carbon in the cylinder was knocked loose. Any ideas? This thing is pretty rough and probably not worth fixing so I want to make sure I am not forgetting something. What's really weird is that it's not make any clunking sounds when it stops. Thanks!

    CanAm 2013 Outlander 1000 X mr

Thoughts on 2-up and trail riding7, vs in buying a MAXX since the wife will be joining on our ventures from time to time This is going to be primarily single person trail atv, but also want that mudding kick ass capabilities when needed. I live in Cleveland Ohio, so Wayne National Forest, Hatfield Mccoys, West Virginia camping and the trails in PA are going to be the primary places that I will be riding.. My last post on the Polaris made me look this way... also im thinking I can get a nice deal as the 2014 are right around the corner..

    CanAm Slow 2004 Outlander 400

I have a completely stock outlander 400. I probably won't be able to get a new bike so what can I do to make this thing go at least 100 Km/H? Right now I can hit 90 max on a flat paved road.

    CanAm DS650

I found an 06 DS650 baja that is super clean. has white bros r4 pipe and i think that's it as far as upgrades. guy says it has really low hours and it does look like his story could hold true.. all the bearings seem nice and tight, chain has all the adjustment left, the clutch seemed good, brakes looked real good, and it sounded pretty healthy as it fired right up... .he was asking 4g's for it... i got him down to 3500.. is it worth it? any input is appreciated! thanks guys....
