My XR, currently getting put back together after top end rebuild. Has a few upgrades, and will have a black Clarke tank installed when finished.

I have had an XR600R since I was 13. I had to lean it against a post, climb on the seat, and jump on the kick starter when I first got it. I only buy 85-87 models. I prefer the styling and the engine's characteristics with dual carbs. They are more nimble than they are often given credit for.

ULTRA CLASSIC.she may be old but she is bad ass. Keeps up with bikes 20 years newer (of course a lot to do with my riding skills too)

So I've had a good year on the bike and it by far the best best I've owned! So much power and usability. I had to do some mods to even out the throttle by getting the G@ throttle with the cams, as I don't need the Supercross throttle twist in a trial that is tighter than my grip on my beer. This throttle is by far the most useful mod as it evened out the throttle so in tight sections you aren't going zero to the mood in a wrist twitch. Now I put the 8.4 ounce flywheel into her to get more low end and boy did that really make her a lugger. She came with the FMF Gnarly and the FMF Shorty pipe, I replaced the Shorty with a Q as I like "quiet" bike (I say that because it doesn't sound as quiet as my dad Husky TE300) and I need a Sparky. The oversized tank came with her and I swapped out the hand guards for my Cycra ones off my Husky. So my true overall feel for the bike, with these mods this bike has really woken up. I've taken her on a race and outside of me being an idiot and getting my shoulder dislocated just outside the pits. (Yes it's embarrassing) I love the bike. I ride it more than my others. I'd say if you can try one out, you won't go wrong.

I thought I would add my 93 XR250R to the garage (again) to document what I have done to it, It looked like something you would find at a wrecking / salvage yard when I got it, It was missing the carby, Front caliper, Headlight, Front guard, Side covers & other odds & ends but I could see that it was actually still in very good condition & it just needed the missing parts replaced & a good tidy up, Luckily the motor is good & runs sweet after fitting an XR250L pumper carby which is now jetted to XR250R specs I am collecting the necessary parts to rebuild the top end soon At this stage n XR's Only seat cover & graphics would make it look a bit better Dunlop D605 fitted on the rear XR's Only stainless exhaust Header pipe Custom fitted White Brothers E-Series muffler (If anyone happens to have the discs or a complete maybe damaged E-Series muffler with the discs & Elliptical end cap setup (which would also be a great donor for what I need) laying round please let me know) New RHK fatbar mounts & Tag 1-1/8" fatbars fitted, Makes the ergo's much better for me, A bit taller & looks sweet too New white 15.9L / 4.2 Gal Clarke tank New 42 tooth Renthal sprocket fitted, + I have a spare 44 teeth Renthal sprocket also Just fitted, Baja Designs headlight, Moose skid plate & some XR's Only (Custom/were to suit XR600 oversize IMS) tank decals / Graphics Very close to an engine rebuild now, I have a new 77mm JE piston kit, Cometic gaskets, Brand new in the packet OEM XR250R camshaft, Brand new Honda rocker cover + lotsa other goodies to sort out the rebuild, Looking for a good used 88-95 XR250R cylinder head, Anyone have one laying round? Just fitted some CRF450R forks & a 2010 CRF450R front wheel using a set of Emig Racing billet triple clamps Time to move on & sell this sweet old 93 XR250, Anyone interested send me a PM! SOLD!!! Went to the new owner after he handed me $2750AU, A bargain really He is very happy with it especially being a very different looking & unique XR250, Sad to see it go but I am very happy with my near new 09 CRF450X which takes my riding level way beyond, The CRF450X is a whole lot more of a bike, Anyone looking to do a bit more than just ride trails should definitely step up to a 450X!

For how old this bike is, it really performs well on the trails. The suspension is pretty soft which is fine for a teenager but arguably too soft for a larger adult. Love the low revs performance for a 2 stroke and the fantastic cruising comfort on back roads. Way better than any pre-1989 kdx200! Would recommend this bike to anyone that loves trail riding/medium enduro.

SOLD I've owned this 2006 YZ450 since 2011. It was bone stock when I purchased it and over the years have added a large list of parts mainly geared towards Enduro racing and harescrambles. The bike has been absolutely great to me, any issues have just been normal ware and tare.

SOLD in 2014. Man I loved Thumper! So simple. So powerful! I did some pretty serious high mountain passes in Colorado on this bike. I also road it to work (no highways). It is *heavy* for off road. I only dropped it once on a trail and was able to pick it up, but just barely. Then again, it's *light* for on road. I only took it on highways a couple of times and it was super twitchy and got blown around a lot. But for surface streets, it's perfect. The best thing about this bike is the simplicity of the engineering. Air cooled. Simple carb. And one big, fat, thumpin' cylinder. To manage the gearing off road, I kept a separate rear wheel with a 50 tooth sprocket (stock is 45) and an aggressive, non-dot tire. I switched the front sprocket from 15 to 14.

This is my go-to bike for almost everything. I got it in 2014 from a guy in Iowa. It only had 650 miles and no mods. original tires, original oil. finally getting it right.

Put on roughly 9,500 (closer to 10,000) miles last year, first year owning it. It's a very reliable bike, cold and warm weather. I've never been happier.

Absolutely amazing bike! Suspension and motor are dialed in perfect. Great low end stump pulling torque and high speed desert racing capability. Set up is for lower rpm powerband hit. Its alot to hang on to so throttle and clutch control are a must! Only complaint is the weight, I wish I had the 380 EXC because it has the same weight with the extra power but the extra power is NOT needed just wanted when racing those big 450s!
