Entirely too fun. This is the only mx bike I have owned and it has way more power than I will ever need. It's very stable at high speed, can be lugged without fear of stalling, and punches in every rpm range. Cons? It overheats pretty quickly in off-road settings, has a hard time leaning in turns, and can be difficult to handle. Still, I give it a 5 outta 5.
  2. In a topic I posted about crankshafts and rods, the topic of pistons came up so I thought I would create a new topic and ask the question: CP-Carrillo Pistons of JE? One poster mentioned JE were heavier but didn't offer any specs. I have used JE in the past and had absolutely no problems with them except the fact I didn't keep the last bike very long after the upgrade so couldn't compare longevity. Any input?

  7. I have a 250 that lost compression last week, and when disassembled I found a cracked piston, a 14;1 CP. Is this common in the 14:1 compression ratio CP pistons? Gotta know what to go back with that will last a while. The rest of the motor is built, Carillo rod, polished crank, Exceldine valves, ported head, etc. Any thought on what piston to go back with?
  8. Hi, I'm looking for a recommendation for a piston and cylinder that helps me gain more hp, it can be stock bore or big bore. Right now my cam is DCR 368” lobe lift, what springs can you recommend the springs he has now are kibblewhite and finally, how can I make the head gasket thicker? I want to prevent this from happening to me again Thank you
