I ride this bike anywhere that isn't super tight.. It loves to go! so much fun! and how it loves to climb... and jump... and nearly blow corners. I bought this bike to do a timber sled conversion on it but fell in love with it after riding it, no way am I defiling it. Another Honda classic!

I'm not much of a 2-Stroke guy. I borrowed this bike from my buddy in September '14 and liked it so much that I bought it. It's the first dirt bike I've ridden since '98 or '99. I sold this bike around May '15.

  16. Hey just a general question. For mx racing, a 450 is the largest engine size right? As far as a bike that can handle the beating of jumping 50+ feet and slamming the throttle open. I know there are dual sports in 500 and 650 (too heavy to jump long distances?) also that Honda made the cr500 as well Kawasaki with their kx500, but those are discontinued correct? Just looking to expand my knowledge so I don't come off like a moron haha.

  23. Just wondering. I still own the KX250 I bought in 1988 and hare scrambled for six or seven years. Along the way it got a big bore (300) kit, a heavy flywheel and a revalved suspension. It did quite well back in the day. It is a tractor and will idle up any hill in any gear pretty much. Awesome for tight BC bush riding. I am now restoring it after it sat in the back of my shop for the last 20 years. So other than a wider ratio transmission and maybe better ergonomics how is it different from a new say KTM 300XC? I see an electric start and a six speed transmission. What else is different. The four strokes have obviously come a long way but I'm not seeing how a new two stroke is better than my old beater. What am I missing? Way more power? I see it weighs the same. It's a serious question. I have been out of the game for a long time and I really was surprised to see that two stroke development seems to have stopped pretty much.
  24. Hi guys hope your Sunday is going good.. Have a look at some big bore dirt bike action on my channel my newest YouTube video is doing very well.. almost 50,000 views in just a few weeks!

    Stuck WFO

The throttle on the 1986 CR500 got stuck WFO yesterday... I realized it about halfway through the wheelie (at first I thought the bike was just finally finding traction). I bounced off my back, to my right temple (I was wearing a neckbrace, thank god), and onto my back again. If the back pain doesn't improve, I'll be going to the ER.
