Fun and fast bike. Bought for trail riding, but ended up selling it because I didn't use it enough. I prefer a manual clutch, but I feel like a rekluse would make this a better trail bike because it has virtually no "flywheel affect", making it really easy to stall. The suspension needs some re-valve work for trail riding because the first half of the travel was too harsh. I love how light it was compared to a full-size bike though. Even though it has the 'big wheels', it still didn't handle trail obstacles as well as full size wheels do.

Got a pretty good deal. Runs well. Does speed up the idle if left on for around 30 seconds. Not sure if its supposed to dot hat or not but so far so good.

    TT-R 230 vs CRF 150RB

Can't decide between 2007 TTR 230 or 2008 CRF 150R big wheel, I do mostly trail riding, desert, that kind of stuff. I am 6'1" and 165 lbs. Don't need a lot of power but I would like to know some pros and con's of both thnx

Fast, powerful track and trail bike. Handles great with solid suspension. We shall see what the maintenance ends up being.

Compared to all of the other 85 2 strokes, this thing is a rocket. The one thing that i don't like is the bottom end power. The bike just wants to not go when in the bottom end, but when i rev it in the top end it really goes.

  21. I know I have been driving you guys crazy with me looking for a new dirtbike. I appreciate all the help but I'm still not done.lol I still don't know what to do here's what I got, I'm 14 5,4 120ish pounds. I have been riding trails since I was 7. I have been riding a ttr125 but it's not enough I née more POWER! Here's what I'm looking at, 1) Honda crf 150rb has to have a pipe, 2) yz85 with quietest silencer they sell, 3) YZ 125 with quiet silencer, 4)kx125. I want to get into hare scrambles maybe and I ride trails and a gravel pitt near our house. Which bike should I get?
  22. Hi, I've been riding street for about 4 months, 4k mi on my Duke 390. Aside from bolts literally falling off, I love my bike. We just did a weekend at Gorman, and now I'm hooked on dirt riding too. I'm 5'1", 110 with a 29" inseam. I went with the Duke because it felt great (center of gravity, tank shape, weight) even though I was more flat footed on a Honda (CBR maybe?). Anyways, I was on a little 100 Honda this past weekend, I was completely flat footed which was a great confidence booster. I'm trying to figure out how big of a bike I can get for the money. I can flat foot a DRZ125, fairly cheap. Kawa KLX 140 pretty flat footed, also fairly cheap used. DR200 would be my go-to if I wanted a dual-sport but the extra 100lbs that I might have to pick up in the dirt just isn't worth it for me. I was kind of leaning toward the CRF150R because it's 40lbs lighter than the F, although the R is red sticker... I tried a KTM 125, but it was way too big at 37" seat height and overall length. I thought I was left with the 85SX (flat footed, yay) but as another race bike it's overpriced for what I intend to use it for, maybe underpowered compared to the Honda 150. The Freeride at 36" seems almost doable for me, if I soften up the suspension (which I did to learn on my duke, and gradually raised it back up), get the 'low seat' (-.25") and lowering kit (-1/2"). It seems like this would be a great beginner bike, sure it's a bit pricey (hoping to find one used in the next 6mo-1yr), but I'm reading mixed reviews. Some people seem to love it, some aren't impressed. Any advice for why I should or shouldn't go with the Freeride (considering I probably won't get to test-ride before I buy). My main concern is weight around 200lbs (so I can pick it up if I drop it), max seat height 34". Cheap would be great, but I know I have expensive taste so that doesn't stop me if it's something I really want. Thanks in advance!
