Got a pretty good deal. Runs well. Does speed up the idle if left on for around 30 seconds. Not sure if its supposed to dot hat or not but so far so good.

Fun, snappy, fast little bugger. It's an angry little bike, but a ton of fun!

Fun and fast bike. Bought for trail riding, but ended up selling it because I didn't use it enough. I prefer a manual clutch, but I feel like a rekluse would make this a better trail bike because it has virtually no "flywheel affect", making it really easy to stall. The suspension needs some re-valve work for trail riding because the first half of the travel was too harsh. I love how light it was compared to a full-size bike though. Even though it has the 'big wheels', it still didn't handle trail obstacles as well as full size wheels do.

    TT-R 230 vs CRF 150RB

Can't decide between 2007 TTR 230 or 2008 CRF 150R big wheel, I do mostly trail riding, desert, that kind of stuff. I am 6'1" and 165 lbs. Don't need a lot of power but I would like to know some pros and con's of both thnx

Pros: Sounds like a 250r, Super zippy acceleration, Great suspension, powerful, can be used for everything, beginner friendly because it's easy to ride, good for transition from a supermini to a 250 or other bike, lots of mods, turns heads when you start it, and a lot of other good things. Cons: Expensive, Expensive to fix, Expensive parts, just expensive, but if you know what your doing maintenance wise and you do your research you can save a lot of money and know exactly what to get (don't get an FMF pipe for a 150r!!) Jetting problems for 2007-2009 models, (can be fixed if you do your research, easy fix). Kind of loud for some people ( I don't mind) 2007 model has cam problems, not allowed to race in 85 class anymore, it's only allowed to race in supermini which is with 112cc two strokes, unless you have a jgr engine or are really good you won't keep up with 112s. But overall GREAT BIKE, I have this and an 80 that's converted to an 85 and whenever I switch over to it I never want to go back to the two stroke, great play bike for adults too, not a good first bike (go for a 150f) but good for skilled intermediate or beginners with good throttle control. I love this bike and I highly recommend you get this over any 85 or 100.

So much freaking fun! The top end of a 2 stroke with all the torque in the world. Light for a 4 stroke and fly's through the gears. Only complaint is it's a 5 spd, I miss that 6th gear when I'm flying down the backroads of southern Oregon. Additions: bark busters-$100 Spark arrester-$100 Silencer-$50 Smaller front sprocket-$65

    valve adjustment 2007 crf150rb expert

I am working on this bike for the first time. It is a crf150rb expert 2007. I have opened it all up to check the valve clearance which i believe is in-.006 and ex-.010. The intake is at .008. It starts and runs but it is a pain to start and feels like it has a on of compression. I can not figure out how to get to the cam buckets to replace the shims. Need help taking off the cam.

    Brake upgrade for 2012 CRF150R

My sons been complaining the last couple races that his brakes are little on the long side and wants me to upgrade them. I've ridden his bike before and the brakes are under par in comparison to my KX450 or my other sons KTM 65SX. I don't want to spend a bunch of money unless it's really a need so these are the options I've come up with. I'm looking for some feedback from anyone thats been down this road. 1. replace the brakes pads with a more aggressive pad & braided line $100 2. swap to the dual piston setup from a crf450R and Applied racing bracket total cost about $188 with new pads 3. oversized 240mm rotor, new pads and adapter $190 4. oversized 240mm rotor, applied racing adapter, dual piston caliper from crf450r, pads and braided lines $450 or so. (not really an option lol but would be nice) The cheapest is option 1 but will it really solve the issue or only be a bandaid and then later I'll end up spending more money. Any input would be great. Great race bike for kids. A little hard to start for someone small, but these things rip.
