Fun thumper . Needs some stiffer springs for my weight and the California compliant carb needs to be swaped for a FCR39 . Work in progress .

It's a DRZ, what can I say you haven't already heard or read? Jack of all trades and master of none. The fox body mustang of the dual sport world. I love this bike for what it is and that is a damn good dual sport that can do many things well. If you want a bike that is better in one category than the DRZ you will lose something in another category. Some people call it a compromise bike and it is. Compromises is why it's so well rounded. I've only ridden the E version and I am reasonably impressed with the power for a 400CC engine.

So far the nicest bike I've owned. Power is delivered smooth but yet can be aggressive with clutch. Suspension feels good. Ride height is a little higher than my past two bikes but Im 5'11 and can have both feet down. So far nothing but good things to say and anyone who intends on doing road/trail this is for you!

Love the bike, it has a good amount of power and I like the suspension a lot. The only downside that I find is that the bike is quite heavy; other than that it is bulletproof.

My first "dual sport" I've usually just had motocross bikes but I need "Transportation" ;) And the "E" is licensed so I got a great BANG for the buck

Great bike, on and off road. I've owned it for a few months now and couldn't be happier. Use it as a commuter to work and an ADV bike on the weekends.

I have 2 of these DRZ400e's, They are great bikes. The first one is a 2008 model and the second is a 2012 model. both bikes have the Hi Comp pistons which help a bit. if the bike had a down side besides the weight, it would be the suspension. both bikes seem to want to skate all over the place. maybe i am just used to MX bikes but I am 54 years old so I am not into the crazy extreme stuff anymore, just trail riding and I am happy, these bike do this and do it well. I had a WR450F with a 500 kit in it, it was mad, I had to fight it everywhere and was a handful, I call it a young persons bike. If I were 20 years younger, I would have loved it. i swapped it for the 2nd DRZ.

Buddy gave me this to take care of for a few years while he and his family are in Australia I've added brake lights/signals to make it a bit more street legal and man I LOVE this bike and having a plated bike I can ride from my house to my local trails.

Drz400E aus spec E and mrd exhaust

Hey guys I'm thinking of purchasing an mrd z pro exhaust for my drz400e (aus spec) if I bought direct from mrd will the e model zpro fit the australian version. I only ask this cause there seems to be no information that I can find regarding an e model and the z pro exhaust fitment
  23. G'day I've recently purchased a used dr400e 2006 and I'm just asking for some help and or guidance on the fcr39 slant body carb that is on the bike. My current elevation 960m (3150ft) above sea. Maximum elevation I'm likely to ride 1300m (4300ft) above sea. Lowest I'm likely to ride 120m (400ft) above sea. My average temperature at current elevation is 20*c (68fh) give or take about 5 degrees. Average winter temp at current elevation 5-15*c (41-59fh) but can get lower. Possible average at 120m (400ft) 20-35*c (68-95fh). Don't know about winter but will be around 10-28*c at 120m (400ft. Current mods Removed snorkel Barrett slip on exhaust Which came with the bike (will be changing that to the mrd full system) The fuel I'll be using is 98 octane Now onto the bike the bike has been rejetted for the slip on by the previous owner and unfortunately he can't rember the jets he used and the needle if I was to upload some pictures of the jets and needle could they be identified I know the jets have a number listed on them. And I probably should do the wire/ap mod and remove the decel circuit cause I've got a bit of an off idle bog which then stalls the bike but the bog is only really present when the throttle is turned suddenly on idle and is somewhat present when the bike is on the road and the throttle is turned from closed to suddenly half to full throttle.
  24. What bike is the most reliable, cheapest, best riding Used for off road fast tracks nothing to technical needs to be reliable tho everyone share your thoughts I might get convinced wanting to get it for around $1000 give or take and dosn't have to be in perfect working order
