Mine looks a lot like this but I haven't taken any good pics of it yet. Picked it up cheap - it's in great shape, nearly all stock parts are there ('cept endurance meter, grrrr). Working on it now at buddy's shop. It's a dream bike for me - always wanted an XR600 and now I have one!!!

Excellent trail bike. low end torque and low gear allow for easy hill and mountain climbing. Lower seat height great for smaller riders. Weight to power ratio is perfect.

    Yamaha YZ426F (2001)

Great Bike. Modified for on road use with a WR stator/Rotor and floated ground. The trail tech Reg/Rec chargers a small battery. I have a decent set of lights, blinkers, etc. It is alot of fun to have a YZ with a few trail parts. A 90% dirt, 10% road.

If you are strong enough, and play with the clutch enough, it can do everything except MX/SX.

  7. Not sure what I'm missing. I bought a '01 WR250F that had a YZ stator with no light circuit. The bike ran fine, but I want the light. I bought a WR stator and flywheel from Ebay and checked the coils against my service manual, all within specifications. When I installed the WR stator I got no spark. No output from the CDI (checked with a Fluke 99b scope). I put the old YZ stator back into the WR and she fired on the first kick. The WR stator coils still check out good. Can the WR/YZ stators be swapped around? Is their a difference between WR/YZ CDI or harness? Whats going on? Where should I go from here?
  8. Guys, I've been looking for an aftermarket stator for my 2001 YZF 426 that could provide me with enough DC current to power-up street-legal kits out there (50W should do). Browsing through the forum and elsewhere I found references to Trailtech (100W), Moose (50W) and Electrosport (35W) stators, but they don't seem to be available anymore, pretty much everyone is out of stock it seems. Like I said I need this as the cornerstone to my little project of a YZF 426 Street-Legal supermoto (I live in Brazil btw, it will be interesting getting a license for this vehicle here) - any pointers? * Anyone still making or with those in stock? * Could I just modify my original stator and/or flywheel to provide me with more DC power? * Perhaps some other stator from newer YZFs is compatible? (i.e., 2005 yzf 250)? * Anyone wanting to sell me theirs, in case they have it? Thanks! -Klaus

used in conjunction with the upgraded stator to control the extra power so you don't fry your bike
  10. Just a few pictures of what i did for a 12 volt plug on my crf 250 l. Here is a link to amazon on the plug i got. It has a nice water proof cover that snaps over it when not in use and also came with plugs for using a battery tender. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0068FYMVO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Modified bracket Plastic piece drilled and modified a little. This is part of the shroud around the radiator resevoir Here is the place to disconect and connect a battery tender if you want. This is on the left side of the bike. Finished and works great! Kind of hard to tell by the picture but Its nicely hidden up in there..

  13. Just wondering what Lighting Coils/Stators you guys would use on a 2007 Yamaha YZ250? I am having trouble in locating one! Cheers MitchMan

Include stator, regulator/rectifier with OEM connectors, 3.5 amp hour battery and wiring harness Supports up to 40W of lighting

GENERAL INFORMATION Programmable ECU replacing stock vastly improving performance. Throttle stop screw allows throttle to open fully which the stock one does not. Just a little black box and a screw is all it takes. Gets rid of the 1/3-throttle stumble of the stock ECU. Allows nearly limitless tuning with the GYTR Power Tuner.

Uncork and get on dirt and you'll love it. On pavement, not the greatest, but it's made for dirt of course.

Its a 10 year old motocross bike, with very low hours. Perfect for an Enduro conversion. This bike astounds me. One day I'm riding MX on a track, the next I'm riding in the desert on single track. Its unstoppable, and just so easy and forgiving. I love this bike.
