  2. June 7, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Husqvarna Motorcycles is recalling specific frame numbers of the 2016 FC 250 machines to authorised Husqvarna dealers for a complete crankshaft replacement. Following market investigations by Husqvarna Motorcycles it has been determined that deviations in the manufacturing process of the connecting rod may result in early failure and fracturing of the conrod under certain load conditions. Husqvarna Motorcycles is therefore issuing an instruction to replace the complete crankshaft on affected bikes. Owners of 2016 FC 250 models are being informed by a personal letter, asking them to immediately contact an authorised Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer to arrange an appointment for replacement. Customers can check online in the ‘Service’ area of the Husqvarna Motorcycles website to determine if their motorcycle is affected by this recall. Replacement crankshaft work will be carried out at no cost to motorcycle owners, but must be performed by authorised Husqvarna Motorcycles dealers only.

Hailed as the most premium 250 4-stroke motocross motorcycle available, the Husqvarna FC 250 is engineered to keep ahead of the field. Featuring a lightweight and compact motor as well as a PANKL gearbox with advanced electronics and ergonomics, the FC 250 maintains the leading position in the 250 4-stroke class. LIGHTWEIGHT FRAME The chromium molybdenum steel frame harnesses advanced geometries and flex characteristics aimed at providing unparalleled rider feedback, energy absorption and exceptional straight-line stability. The frame is finished off in a premium blue powder coating with standard frame protectors for superior protection and durability. CNC MACHINED TRIPLE CLAMPS CNC-machined triple clamps feature a 22 mm offset and an integrated rubber damping system, which reduces vibration and increases rider comfort. Additionally, the front number board integrates a triple clamp roost protector. WP XACT FRONT SUSPENSION The WP XACT fork is lightweight and easy to adjust through a single air valve for pre-load, using the supplied fork pump. Compression and rebound fine-tuning is handled by tool-free click adjusters. Together with the fully adjustable WP XACT rear shock, Husqvarna offers superior suspension performance, feeling and comfort. CARBON FIBRE SUBRAME Carbon fibre is renowned for its light weight and high strength. For those reasons, the Husqvarna MX range features a unique composite subframe made from 30% carbon fibre. Specific rigidity has been engineered into the subframe to deliver optimal handling and rider ergonomics. The FC250 is a great bike. The Engine feels like a rocket, although getting there is the challenge. The FC250 lacks bottom end, the mid is quite strong and the Top end is excellent. The WP Suspension works great with big hits like over jumping jumps and even handles whoops well. The Suspension falls short when it comes to small chops and large braking bumps. The plastic subframe makes the Husky handle awesome and feels better compared to the KTM'S Aluminium Subframe. Another con towards the Husky is the Airbox cover, it is sealed up more than a fort. This reduces Airflow and slows throttle response to the engine. This problem can be fixed by drilling a few quarter sized holes in the airbox. The FC250 also comes with a Map Switch device on the Bars to pick between two settings, Map 1 - Aggressive and Map 2 - Smooth. This is great for when Tracks can get slippery and conditions change so you can change the Map while the bike is in Idle. In conclusion the FC250 is a great bike suited more towards an aggressive rider.

Picked it up used cheap with low hours. Great moto bike, fun to ride and rip around. Made you feel faster then you were since you could hold it wide open every wear. Little under powerd for me at 220lbs, harder to recover from mistakes. Stock suspenion was great for Vet B racer
