So far so good. beautiful bike..

This bike is awesome! Far superior to my 03 WR450F. 3rd gear is bit short and the bike runs hot or it would have been 5 stars!

Except for the EPA's hook on the EFI, this thing is spot the hell on.

Husqvarna's 2018 FE 501 was built with the serious off-road enthusiast in mind. 511cc of power, a 38-inch seat height, and a sticker price of $11,099 differentiate this Husqvarna in what has become a highly competitive segment of the motorcycle market. Built in Austria but ridden the world over, the FE 501 was designed to be taken straight off the showroom floor and ridden away from the truck and into the elements - a 2.2-gallon tank provides fuel for the journey. Of course, a wide variety of mods for the FE 501 are available through a number of aftermarket companies in order to help you fine-tune this Husqvarna to your exact liking, although some of these changes may render it a competition-only machine. See what we think of the FE 501 and similar machines. Husqvarna has a strong brand history in the sport of off-road, dating back to the days when legends like Malcolm Smith and JN Roberts used to rip these machines through the desert. Today, bikes like the $11,099 2018 FE 501 continue that signature Husky legacy with a blend of great engine performance, predictable handling, and suspension that can be made to work really, really well with just a little fine-tuning. There are plenty of riders and racers out there who want KTM-like performance without swimming with the orange crowd; if this sounds like you, then a new Husqvarna is an excellent choice. My Honda CRF230F is the perfect woods machine or buddy bike, very reliable. This is the first bike I bought after nearly a 30 year hiatus back in 2011. There were a couple of bike before my Honda XR 650L and the Husqvarna FE501S. The Honda XR 650 L I bought in 2014 and is a 2014 model and has 10,972 miles already. Fun bike for mostly back road and gravel road exploring. It is also surprisingly good off road as well. The ultimate bike is my2015 Husqvarna FE 501S. This bike has amazing power down low and plenty up top. After regearing and placing a throttle tamer on, it is an awesome tight woods machine. I had to rig up a fan override switch to operate the fan manually in the really tight stuff.

  21. 06 SMR510 & 16 FE501S but have nobody that I ride with locally! I always feel as if the risk is increased by riding alone especially on these windy highways (101+199), forest service roads & trails. Plus riding alone typically isn't as much fun either. Msg me or reply to this thread to get in touch and maybe even make a new friend. Regards, Tyler
  22. Are the fe501 and the fe501s the same Cdi box?
  23. FE501, FE350 or 300XC-W.... Type of riding ...everything but moto.
  24. I have a 2018 fe 501. I just installed a JD Tuner on it. I noticed now that when I am idling with the clutch in, if I blip the throttle quickly the bike will quickly die. It seems to run good otherwise. It’s just blipping the throttle at idle. I turned all the settings to “stock” (all 3 across the board) and it still does it, although it is harder to make do it then it did on the “off-road” settings. What gives? Any ideas?
