Kawasaki ZG1200 Voyager XII (2001)
High Plains Thumper posted garage vehicle in High Plains Thumper's Garage

Bought the bike in 2013 with 33k miles on it. With 96 HP, 4 carbs, this 4 cyl. inline has ample get up and go. I roll the throttle and watch the cars disappear behind me. With aftermarket air shocks and Progressive fork springs, it rides very smooth, has all the amenities of a luxury tourer, true cruise control, radio gets louder the faster the speed, has intercom, remote for pillion passenger. Plus it has very ample storage, I've carried a sheet cake, alto sax, and mandolin in the trunk.

I have a homemade Harbor Freight trailer with Sears X-Cargo car top box on it. It tows it effortlessly like it was made for it. It also rides well in rain. I get around 50 mpg on rides, about 10 less towing the trailer. -

Love the XR400R, powerful enough for me and after changing the spring and shock rate it is a great bike with lots of potential. I ride mostly single track in Thailand and I need low maintenance bike, that can easy handle extreme temperatures as well as extreme terrain, it both handle both very well -

I am 6'3" 210# and the stock suspension seems too soft for me. I have never messed with suspension before just the clickers. I know I can adjust the rear spring for more tension but what can I do to the front? I would like to just make some simple adjustments if at all possible. Thanks

Ok hands up ive not been on here for about 2 years ..... What im after is does anyone know were i can get a pair of .58 front springs for a set of Drz forks.... The reason is ive transplanted a pair onto my 1996 Africa Twin ...... now the Drz was around 134 kgs the Africa Twin is 240kgs so you can see why .... Is Eddie still on here as he was everything Drz ....

I am looking for springs for 200+ range and I have seen a few on ebay. Although, I haven't found any list showing what years and bikes I could use. Do the 4 bangers match up? What years are best if I get a whole shock? Can u identify the spring rate on the fork springs? Etc. I have a 2002 yz250.

Right I know this topic has been posted many a time before. I HATE the way my YZ turns and feels in rutted corners. It is awful. I have 2 of them,I have tried everything from 17mm o/s triple clamps to 20mm o/s to running the fork like 15mm up in the top clamp. I also have 100mm sag and the correct spring rates. The things has useless traction of front . I love the bikes, but the lack of traction feel on the front really makes me want to change bikes! Any ideas? The yz seems a lot more sensitive to sag etc than other bikes,It Is a nightmare in downhill ruts. Is this just how the yz is? This will be my 5th yz 250 by the way. Thanks

I'm looking to upgrade my SM's suspension and so far have the parts for the rear, but am having a b!tch of a time finding fork springs. Racetech doesn't seem to have anything for the supermoto; I've checked their site and talked to two local shops who called. Nada. Progressive is showing nothing in their lineup, both current and forthcoming, ARG. Has anyone upgraded the front forks of their SM? Where on earth did you find springs?! I've been looking half-assedly for about a month but really trying in the last week. My canyon carving experience this weekend where I felt every single bump has really moved up my timeline. I have the parts for the rear, can anyone point me in a specific direction (part numbers would be BOMB) for heavier SM springs? Pretty please?
