Okay so I just bought an 09 125sx for trail riding and want to add a larger tank. Unfortunately an over sized tank is anywhere from 230 - 300$. So I thought about buying a used one off ebay, does anyone know if 200/250/300 exc fuel tanks are compatible from the same year or what other years are compatible with it?
Looking at longer rides where 2.5 won't reach to the next gas station. I've got the stock tank on my 2004 and don't want to switch out with an Acerbis 3.2 because I want to be able to keep the bike light for shorter rides, so I'm looking at external options like the rotopax, maybe a 2 gallon-er? Are the 2 gallons too big, or are there other options I don't know about? Thanks in advance.
Hi Guys, I have a Yamaha WR450F 2007 model which has a cracked tank (with minor dripping of fuel). I've tried tank repair kits with no success so am thinking I need a whole new tank. I have found a second hand tank from a Yamaha WR450F 2011 model and am after confirmation that this will fit my bike? They are both fourth generation WR450F bikes (2007-2011), however when I search the OEM Parts finder the tank part codes slightly differ.. Aftermarket tanks are marketed per generation of WR450F which is why I think its should work. Can anyone help me out here? Cheers, Eddie
