  1. Just wondering if we are being misled with the tps calibration procedure on the Get app with current array of videos on YouTube. The GET manual actually suggests to wind the idle set screw out 7 turns so that the throttle is at absolute zero then calibrate then reset the idle screw. This puts the min value below the raw which actually makes more sense. Tip for sxf owners you can pin the brown wire and black white wire in the service plug to power the bike without running it.

A few of you may have been aware that my 2020 TE250i had some bogging at mid range throttle, and that I fouled spark plug and how a dealership had told me they had a few bikes exhibiting similar symptoms.... Ridefreak at ADV Rider pointed out how I was warming up the bike incorrectly (that helped). An iridium plug that matched the stock plug (someone here mentioned the iridium plug) and warming it up correctly helped some but....there was still some throttle/bike hesitation here and there... Enter stage left - Taco Moto (Mike, Vegas), True North Motos (Dan & Cal, Olympia WA): Now Taco may just seem like some happy go-lucky gear head but I assure you, while he is that, he is also connected, more knowledgeable than you can imagine & legit. He cares about the average rider. The same for Dan & Cal. They are the sharper tools that belong in everyone's shed/garage. After reading all that I could on the subject of ECU's, JD tuning, etc, and hours of Youtube videos, I pulled the trigger on GET Athena with a relocation plate from Taco Moto. Why? Taco collaborates with HP and between the two, my understanding is, they perform enough R&D to make your head spin. I had the GET Athena with relocation plate FROM TACO MOTO, installed by TrueNorth Moto (Olympia WA) yesterday. While I have increased my wrenching abilities to complete my own general maintenance (with a guiding light from TrueNorth Moto), re-routing various lines and the full install of the GET ATHENA ECU with injector relocation plate on my 2020 TE250i was a bit beyond my mechanical aptitude. 5 hour ride results: This is what matters! The Wide open map just plane screams. My 2020 TE250i with an FMF Turbinecore 2 and the stock head now power wheelies my 265lb lard ass in 1-3 gears with the stock rear sprocket and a full gas tank. I road for 5 hours on it today. No hesitation, no bog, didn't even have to pull the choke to start it. I had a completely jacked super modified banshee chasing me around and when I stopped and he finally rolled up on me, he was shocked to see I was only riding a 250! There is no getting this smile off my face. The research and development time Taco Mike collaborates on and puts into the map provided on his GET setup is sick. When I called him to report back on how this thing turned out, he was happy to hear it but not surprised. Why? Because he took the time to ask questions of me about how I ride, what altitudes I ride, what mods had been made to my bike and then provided me with a superb map. The map is all the difference in the world! I emailed this guy twice a week from the time I ordered it until the time it was installed (TrueNorth Moto worked late to install it within days of me receiving it). Taco not only put up with me, but he answered my stupid questions within a couple of business days each time. He even had a discussion with Dan at TrueNorth Moto. These guys are top notch and the GET Athena with relocation plate is the real deal, if you have someone like Taco with the collaboration to get the RIGHT MAP on it! I'm sure Athena's base maps are good. But add in the R&D, collaboration, Taco Map, TrueNorth professional installation and you have a team that should probably be in the PITs at sponsored races. Instead, they are making rookies like me walk around with a permanent grin on my face! These guys aren't pencil pushers - they all ride and it is very clear to me that they care about the riding community. I'm not saying that Vortex wouldn't work as well but I am saying this worked for me and my concerns and produced amazing results.
  3. Hey guys, I've installed a GET ecu and a Pro Billet end cap on my 2021 Husky FE 350s. I noticed that after I start the bike and let it idle for a few seconds, sometimes even a minute, the engine will stall. I've checked the RPMs and they are in the spec range: 1950-2050. What could be wrong? What should I check for?
