  1. Got a new Go Pro fro Christmas so im using my old Go Pro Hero original to get a different angle/view of my next ride. Could be disastrous, could be glorious. I'll report back on Tuesday with the verdict. Any predictions? Will it hold and get some bad-ass footage of my right foot or will it rip off for my buddies to pick up later?

  5. While out riding today I rode right into an active logging site. No trail closed no warning signs. This is the nw passage trail south side of Jones road. I was through there 2 weeks ago and there was nothing saying logging would be happening. Looked at the staging area board and no posting of active logging either. I will call the DNR tomorrow so they can get some closed signs up. So for now the nw passage trail is closed from Jones Rd to the knoble trail.

    gopro mounting?

hey guys and girls i have a gopro mounted on my helmet right now and i just have it mounted on the top of the helmet. i am not liking it very much and would like to mount it on the side. the only problem is the goggles get in the way. i might buy a quick release strap for it if i have to. how do you guys mount your gopro? feel free to leave pictures and comments that will help me. any cool mounting techniques will do. Thanks!
  7. I just got a GoPro HERO3 Black Edition. I was wondering what other people use to mount these to your Dirt Bike Helmets? Pictures or videos tutorials welcome .
  8. Guys, while I may be OldNBold on a dirt bike, I'm OldNDumb with this GoPro when it comes to editing etc. My initial downloads have been to a 8 yr old Mac. While the Mac downloads the images, the playback is very choppy. I assume that the Mac just is too slow to play back. I also have a newer 2 year old company Dell Laptop that I'm considering putting these images onto for editing etc. Can someone point me to a website or software that can allow me to get started on editing and playback of these images to my Dell?
  9. Will duct-taping my phone to my helmet work?
  10. Yesterday I finally broke down and bought an onboard camera for snowboarding, driving my car (evidence of fault for crashes), and mostly motocross. If you have a problem with your GoPro, post the problem and/or the solution here. I will start with the things I had to figure out on my own so far. Could not connect to my Ipod- Had to set up the firmware by going onto the GoPro website and clicking "updates" or "upgrades" I forget which one its called but you will figure it out easily. In this situation you have to give your GoPro a name and password. Would not turn on OR charge- I solved this problem by re-setting it. To reset it you simply remove the batter and SD card. While they are both out, press and hold the shutter button (red circle thing on the top). while holding this button, put the battery in and then press and hold the power button. Then put your SD card in whenever you feel like it. After I did this, my gopro charged and turned on properly. Buttons will not work while its turned on- remove the battery and then put it back in. Mine worked correctly after I did this. If you post a problem and how you fixed it, I will add it in as a bullet point with the story. Reminder, the first 3 problems are what I had within 24 hours of owning a GoPro Hero 3 Silver. I'm sure it will work fine after I get the bugs worked out. Seems like everything I own has bugs for the first few uses, then it becomes reliable and predictable. Also post stories of what your GoPro has survived like: Housefires, ran over with a bulldozer, shot with a glock, used as traction in the whoops, drowning for a year and so on..

  18. Just curious on who here has a GoPro? what are some of your setting you like to shoot at? I got the Hero 3 Blk edition. so far loving it. i got it almost a year ago and just started using it. (busy with work all summer) ive been playing around with the 2.7k or the 1080 @60fps. with protune on. i use to render my videos in the gopro studios... but i was very unpleased with how they would come out. the videos would be very grainy, or choppy. i switched to using adobe premiere pro cs5.. it takes much longer to completely render the video...but the final product is 100 time better than gopro studios i find. what are your thoughts about software, mounting, and the gopro accessories?
  19. Not sure if this is the right place to post it, but i just got a FOX V2 2014 helmet for my birthday and am having some trouble at putting my gopro on the top. I was just wondering if any of you guys have had this same problem and have a solution to it.
