The power is unreal! And extremely satisfying. Mostly use it for trail riding, no mx, but with the heavy flywheel, it chugs right along in slower sections and then flies in faster areas when I ride in the desert without even revving it much. Gave it four stars only because it's carborated and the carb is hard to get to. That's why I haven't jetted it, but it still has plenty of power for me so i haven't gone to the trouble. No complaints otherwise.

So far thrilled. Bike handles great turns in a dime. Takes whoops like a trophy truck!

In love with the bike, the power, handling, looks. Everything. Got the red white colour but like the star racing bikes so got new plastics and graphics kit.

GENERAL INFORMATION Programmable ECU replacing stock vastly improving performance. Throttle stop screw allows throttle to open fully which the stock one does not. Just a little black box and a screw is all it takes. Gets rid of the 1/3-throttle stumble of the stock ECU. Allows nearly limitless tuning with the GYTR Power Tuner.

Great motor and great suspension. The bike handles a bit different than anything else I've ridden, which I attribute to Yamaha's centralization of mass. From my experience, this bike's ability to corner and not hop out of ruts is heavily dependent on your body position on the bike. Overall, I love this thing.

So I've had a good year on the bike and it by far the best best I've owned! So much power and usability. I had to do some mods to even out the throttle by getting the G@ throttle with the cams, as I don't need the Supercross throttle twist in a trial that is tighter than my grip on my beer. This throttle is by far the most useful mod as it evened out the throttle so in tight sections you aren't going zero to the mood in a wrist twitch. Now I put the 8.4 ounce flywheel into her to get more low end and boy did that really make her a lugger. She came with the FMF Gnarly and the FMF Shorty pipe, I replaced the Shorty with a Q as I like "quiet" bike (I say that because it doesn't sound as quiet as my dad Husky TE300) and I need a Sparky. The oversized tank came with her and I swapped out the hand guards for my Cycra ones off my Husky. So my true overall feel for the bike, with these mods this bike has really woken up. I've taken her on a race and outside of me being an idiot and getting my shoulder dislocated just outside the pits. (Yes it's embarrassing) I love the bike. I ride it more than my others. I'd say if you can try one out, you won't go wrong.

Overall I love this bike! Once the EFI is dialed in there is no comparison with a carburetor.

I love it so far, the tranny is awesome for offroad and the Rekluse makes everything easier! The "hit" off the bottom is abrupt and is a handful in tight single track. This can be taken away through re-mapping or a after market exhaust.

This bike handles really frickin awesome for being as heavy as it is. It's realiable as heck, pretty fast, reasonable to maintain, and the fuel injection is pretty sweet. It still has a bit of squishyness to the suspension though. Other then that, sweet ride!

The last dirt bike I owned was a '98 YZ400 so I have been out to the dirt game for awhile but never stopped riding. I had street bikes still to keep me happy. Buying this one, I actually went in to see about buying a 2014 YZ250F. The salesman talked me into getting this 2013 450 at a huge discount so I jumped on it even though I was worried about power and not being used to riding in the dirt after so long of a break. Best decision I had this year as for as hobby purchases. I love it, picked up right where I lift off riding off-road. This thing has the perfect amount of power everywhere for my riding style. I did have to give it some extra umfh already a for as power adders. I started with an FMF Factory 4.1 RCT slip-on and the Yamaha GYTR Power Tuner then recently added an FMF megabomb header (neither were installed yet on the pics posted) and love it even more. For me the bike went from perfect to heaven.

    Original graphics

Hey guys, just signed up as on the hunt for some original graphics for a 2015 WR450. I just bought one new and decided to get a second set of plastics for when I do a shitty enduro so I don't scuff up my originals, however I really love the oem Yamaha GYTR graphics that are on the radiator shrouds. Does anyone know where to find them? Cheers

GENERAL INFORMATION The 2013 Yamaha YZ450F is one of the most revolutionary motocross machines ever built. From the four titanium valve top end to the unique rearward facing exhaust setup, the YZ450F’s entire layout shows it’s total dedication to performance. But one of the prime features of the bike isn’t even a part of the motorcycle at all, it’s the Accessory GYTR® Power Tuner, that lets tuners adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to match engine performance characteristics to the rider and track conditions. Loads of bikes have electronic fuel injection, but Only Yamaha makes it so easy to tune. GYTR® Power Tuner is an easy plug-in fuel-injection and ignition tuning tool that allows riders to quickly adjust both the fuel and ignition maps to suit riding conditions and rider preference. It allows 9 easy-to-program adjustment points for both the fuel and ignition maps. The Power Tuner’s Monitor function allows the user to monitor the data from various sensors on the bike as well as adjust idle timing, see engine running time, and access the self-diagnosis function. The Power Tuner is powered by two AA batteries, thus no laptop is required, and no time consuming downloads are necessary. Also important, the unit does not have to be plugged into the bike to create maps, so a mechanic can create new maps while the rider is on the track, testing. The Power Tuner’s compact design can fit in the palm of your hand or a pocket, etc, and the Memory function can save up to 9 custom maps.
