    Comes with everything to sturdily mount both your handguards while sealing dirt and debris out of your throttle tube. Improve your throttle control by sealing out sand and dirt from your throttle tube when you run bark-busters or handguards. Eliminate the crunchy throttle on your dirtbike by running Tegradyne's Patent pending "Jimmy Hat" sealed throttle tube and threaded insert assembly. Installation is quick and easy. Just tap your handlebars, install the threaded inserts, put grips of your choice on, and install your choice of handguard, end-cap, or other bar-end accessory. The rubber seal is very low drag and still provides a crisp throttle action. The seal allows the user to add lubrication to the throttle tube as well. This results in even smoother action without the downside of attracting dust and dirt. Comes with both threaded handlebar ends, a 5/8-11 tap, a new sealed throttle tube, and 5 throttle cams. Threaded inserts fit most aluminum handlebars with the exception of steel or thin walled bars such as Renthal Twinwall. Threaded inserts are through tapped with M8-1.25 thread which is compatible with most handguards.     It has a very neutral chassis, turns very well but doesn't give much up in stability. The power is very linear and easy to use. If you wan't a hard-hitting 2 stroke, this isn't your bike. Even with the aggressive map switch and the powervalve adjuster turned in, it much more mellow than my Yz. Although the power may not be exciting, it's perfect for gnarly technical terrain. Stock forks were harsh on square-edge obstacles. The Pressure springs(small spring in the top of the fork) are known to be to stiff for most offroad riding. I had them changed out when the forks were revalved. E-start works flawlessly and starts the bike within a couple seconds when cold. Ergo's feel good to me...at 6'1", I was worried that it would feel to small to me, but that's not the case. The rear brake lever is a little low for most people, but I actually prefer it that way and it's adjustable anyway. Brakes themselves feel good, the front in particular is very strong. I don't feel they give up much to the Brembo's on the Ktm's. 40 hour update: replaced the stock rear tire within 20 hours and did the front at about the 35 hour point. I now have a tubliss front and rear, with a new rim in the front because of bad crash I had. In that crash, I also smashed the pipe, split a radiator hose, twisted both radiators, and popped the preload adjusters out of both forks. Beta fixed the forks free of charge, so no complaints there. Separate from that crash, the stock map switch is busted and I blew the fuse for the e-starter, although it blew in extremely wet conditions. The most likely culprit is the horn, it's a pretty common issue that's easy to fix. Also, the stock plastic is extremely brittle and easy to crack.

    BRP THREADED BAR INSERTS... are a more secure mounting system for aluminum handlebars using wrap-around style enduro hand guards. They are sold as a self install kit that includes two inserts, two flathead bolts to mount your handguards , one 5/8-11 tap to thread your handlebars and an instruction sheet to guide you through the install procedure. BRP inserts install with a common hex key wrench and can be transfered from one bike to another. The basic concept of tapping the handlebar to accept the threaded insert works like a charm. By limiting the depth of the tapped handle bar you can tightly bottom out the threaded insert preventing them from loosening. The throttle side insert is apprx 1/4" longer to accomodate the throttle pipe. The tap comes marked so it is simple to tap your bars to the correct depth. The threaded bar insert is the most solid mount on the market at this time and outperforms anything else. SPECIAL NOTES: We recommend using red loctite on the insert to prevent it from coming loose. Azonic double wall and Renthal Twin Wall Handle bars are a larger ID than other aluminum bars and these inserts DO NOT fit these bars. These are the only 2 bars we have found that are not compatable at this time.

    I've ran MSR hand guards during the winter for the past couple seasons and really like the added weather protection they offer. I recently ordered up a set of the GL hand guards to replace the MSR units with and finally got them mounted up. I really like the new GL guards, they are bigger/taller and should do a better job at keeping the cold wind off my hands. I also like rubber strap system for mounting and the lack of Cordura fabric covering that the MSR units had (they got torn very quickly). Top notch :thumb With either units I like to drill a small hole in each hand guard and mount them to my plastic guards with a bolt. This makes the whole unit super solid and keeps them from moving around while on the trail. Comparison shot between the MSR and the GL guards. I also prefer the looks of the GL units!     Love my YZ250. Most fun on two wheels I have ever had...offroad. Have done standard mods to make it an excellent woods bike. Revalved SSS suspension (FC did forks, I did the shock with Race Tech parts). Hand and frame guards. Larger footpegs. Squish by RB. 42/170/NECJ #3 in a notched #7 slide. GYTR FWW. Timed to 2 degrees retarded. Pure fun bike.

    Yamaha YZ250X (2016)


    This bike works great! I purchased it in March 2016. It will be used for off-road racing and general play riding. Power comes on hard, right off the idle. Suspension is valved pretty close to where I would like it. Only a few clicks on the forks to make it work. The wide ratio transmission compliments the package well. I thought I would remove the kick stand but it works well and stays in place.

    Absolutely love it. Perfect for cruising the beach to surf and mobbing down fire roads in San Diego county. Havent taken out to the desert yet but I am sure it will mash better than any other street legal 250cc
