  1. Hello all, This spring I bought a new '16 wr250f, I absolutely love the bike. Funnest dirtbike I've had yet. The one thing I've been noticing is that I'm having some discomfort, specifically when standing up in the "attack position", I feel like I'm a little too hunched over due to my height. I'm 6'4 and 205lbs. After doing some research I purchased some renthal rc high handlebars.... Idiotic me made the mistake of purchasing them in 7/8 size to save money... I learned today while attempting to install my new bars that the WR250F comes stock with "fat bars". So my new handles bars did not bit. After comparing the two sets of bars it didn't look like I was going to gain much height with the new bars anyway. Has anyone else swapped bars on this generation of the WR250F of done over modifications to help with comfort for tall riders?
  2. Hey all show your handlebar set up along with your brush guards or bark busters. Please add brand of bars and guards. Thinking about getting Pro Taper Contour cr high in black or silver or platinum along with Acerbis X factors. In white and red or red with white. See confusing huh? Well for me anyway. Lol thanks all

I love this bike. Its old and heavy, but its a 1 kick big bore thumper! Has a 1 3/4” header pipe and old school super trap that thumps like a beast😏 Im not sure what the front forks are but they are noticeably larger than the stock ones on my other 81 500. Im running 15” RFY shocks on the rear and so far they are awesome on the trails! Has a rectifier and runs a Nice led headlight with no issues.

My friend from Finland actually found this in local Craigslist! So, as an investment, I went right after it before the hillclimbers got to it. It’s an awesome bike in great shape, relatively low hours and mostly original. I installed a new seat cover and tires then picked up a janky pair of shrouds to save the originals. It has been bored however, but man, this thing is an animal....even my buddy says it runs way better than his CR500 he’s owned since new. Honestly, I don’t want to sell it now!

Very light and nimble, great ergos, inspires confidence and makes you want to ride every day. The versatility of the bike is almost unbelievable considering it's only a 150. It has great low end grunt, a midrange that is all about maintaining traction, and a top end that will shock your buddies on bigger bikes. It can be ridden off the pipe with great effectiveness (especially helpful on those slippery days) or it can be ridden like a rocket on the pipe. It resists stalling as well as any bike I've ever owned...and I've owned a LOT! I get 3.5 hours of moderately hard riding per tank of fuel, so the range is among the best in the business. Now the bad news. As delivered the bike does have a couple of serious flaws, but they are easily fixed. The stock reed cage is junk. Replace it immediately with a V-force or Boyesen and you'll never have another worry. The progressive stock power valve spring is not well liked, and most guys replace it with the alternate straight-rate yellow spring. Some even prefer the red spring (from the 250/300's). Once you address the above items (and I recommend doing both before moving on to the next issue) you will still find that the jetting is horribly rich. This MUST be corrected early or you will be buying lots of spark plugs. Don't worry, the Mikuni is a great carb, it just needs to be jetted correctly. Once done you will be rewarded with phenomenal performance.

Solid platform to work with. . Carter and Gary Bailey worked on final suspension settings, which are TCD's handy work. The C4MX modified race motor arrived and is ready for installation. New black plastics await the graphics. The Yosh pipe is on. Rental bars cut to 31.5" are on. Sharp footpegs too. The Braking oversized rotor. Graphics are on their way. Here the initial start up of the C4MX motor at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJF-VuBRauw
