Amazing HD ... Sound and performance can't be beat

This Bike ride great! I get great gas mileage and comments all the time. Its comfortable. Good power a good handling. 6 speed trans is a huge benefit compared to the older 5 speed. The paint is awesome. Love the metal flake. The audio system is also very good. The CB and the driver / passenger communication system works great. There is almost no breakthrough due to buffeting. I would recommend this bike to anyone. The only complaint that i have had is the rear brake vibration during application. This has been doing this since it was new. They claim that its normal. Never had any trouble stopping its just irritating. Hence the 4 star rating. Other than that its been a great bike!

This bike is a lot of fun. Reliable. Wish it had a 6th gear for highway riding though.

    Harley Davidson XLH1000 (1974)

Great bike all around nice condition for the year. Screaming eagle carb, Barnett clutch, front disc brake rear drum, 2" extended forks, new drag bars and black mirrors. Plan on doing a full paint job over the next winter.

Good ole american iron hauls me, the lady, and all of our stuff around comfortably. Good power and features for long cruising, and makes cold weather riding a pleasure.

Bought this one from the second owner in May, 2013. Very new to me. It has V&H pipes, which were WAY too loud for me and my neighbors. Swapped their "guiet baffles" into the pipes and, while still loud, it's within the range of socially acceptable. Barely!!

Big old hunk of clunky iron. If you embrace that it is fun to ride. If you want a well engineered, well made bike that performs well, this is not the bike for you. If you embrace 1950s technology, it puts a smile on your face.

    Harley Davidson XLH1100 (1987)

Most reliable bike I've owned, tons of help and info , fairly Easy to find parts , only a 4 speed so interstate speeds are a little fast for it. Average Amount of maintenance required. Front suspension likes to dive a bit but is a blast to romp on. 1250cc hammer heads large fin, dyna ignt&coils, SSshortyE long drag pipes, Barnett clutch, dual sport front tire,

A work in progress. The pictures here are older. I have changed it a bit and gone to a chain drive.

She looks great, and in general rides well, decent take off, corners well for what I know, but I haven't been on any true performance bikes, and has been fun for 3 years. I want more power, swap the skinny front end for a 48, and change mostly everything else about the bike honestly, but I'm running with the C at the end. She ain't a beast, but runs 1/4 in 14.3 with slip ons, AC, and a redneck tuning the carb, 14.8 with slip ons and nothing done to it, as I bought it. I weigh bout 135, have small windshield, and bags. My old 1981 Honda CX500C ran at 13.7-13.8 all day, no shield, but trunk, and bags, loaded...
