  1. Recently picked up a 2012 KX250F and planning on taking a trip back to Southeast KY, where I'm from, for a weekend ride. I am far from being new to riding but new to a four stroke and fuel injection (and the SFF forks). My question is, what do y'all pack with you for day long, 8+ hour, rides and possibly full weekend getaways? What do you do pre-ride to trail prep the bike? Also, the bike came valved for a 185lb B rider for MX. I am 220lb rider needing a woods/trail setup and not enough time to send the forks/shock off for another revalve. What would you suggest, in general, clicker-wise to get me closer to a tolerable all day trail ride? The terrain in the area is very rocky, plenty of tree roots, mountainous with wide open fire roads thrown in. Thanks fellas
  2. Attention Dirt Bikers. Looking to get a group together Saturday, February 21st, 2015 to trail ride at Gregory Lake off road park in Drakesboro, KY. 11am departure. 8 riders confirmed, intermediate skill level. Meeting near the bath house on far side of lake. All skill levels welcome.
  3. I'm looking for a place to ride single track for three days in Kentucky. Any suggestions? Looking to make the trip the second week of April. The weather would be okay then right?
  4. From the SEMA Action Network: DON’T DELAY! Please request support for S.B. 102 immediately from the Kentucky Senate Economic Development, Tourism & Labor Committee (Full List Below) by emailing now: You may use the following points in your message: S.B. 102 would allow motorized recreational vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility task vehicles (UTVs), and recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs) access to the Pine Mountain Trail S.B. 102 would allow the Parks Commission to regulate the use of motorized recreational vehicles only to the extent necessary to ensure safety on the trail, except that use shall not be unduly impaired. Overview: Legislation (S.B. 102) to allow motorized recreational vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility task vehicles (UTVs), and recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs) access to the Pine Mountain Trail has been introduced. The bill would also allow these vehicles on the portion of any other trail of Breaks Interstate Park that falls within the boundary of Kentucky. The bill will be considered by the Senate Economic Development, Tourism & Labor Committee. 8. All, I'm trying to locate a good place to take the family riding in Kentucky/Tennessee. I've got 3 boys, 11,12, and 14. They've all been riding for ~1 year, I'd put them at begginner - they've all got things pretty well down but haven't ridden in really hilly areas / jumps / etc. I'd put myself at intermediate+. We'll be trailing the bikes behind our RV so the ideal place would have full hookup camping nearby. I've looked at Coal Creek, Hatfield McCoy and a few others but at hoping someone here can give me a recommendation. Key thing is to make it fun (smaller hills, small jumps, some flat areas) for the kids but don't want to get in over our heads. We're looking to go in late March and will be heading down from the Chicago area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  9. i'm looking for a riding buddy around bowling green ky. there are a few mx tracks in bowling green and it sucks going to ride them by yourself. holler back if you too are needing a riding bud. thanks
  10. Our cool new format was a hit at Round 1 and will be back at it Russell Creek..... You will start 4 riders per row....first to the line first to start....any class, any skill level.... Pros, A's and B's 5 laps everyone else 4 laps Here is a short race example for an A rider.... 5 laps in 3-1/2 hours(210 minutes).... 30 minute lap times elapst time of each loop added together for a total.... that gives you 1 hour of "down time" or 10-15 minutes a loop if you want/need it.... you can get fuel, drink, googles, gloves, or just rest..... or just line up at the top of the next minute and leave.... Here is a Short race example for a C Rider.... 4 laps in 3-1/2 hours(210 minutes) 45 minute lap times elapst time of each loop added together for a total.... That gives you 30 minutes of "down time" or 5-10 minutes a loop if you want or need it.... you can get fuel, drink, googles, gloves, or just rest..... or just line up at the top of the next minute and leave.... The idea behind this format is that you can get a drink, googles, gloves, fuel or make a repair and not fall a lap down.... You will have a score card on your front fender which you will be able to compare your times amounst one another and against the computer.... Plus you will get 3 to 3-1/2 hours of racing time.... Start times Youth ATV---8am Jr Mini Bikes--9am Sr Mini Bikes--945am Adult Bikes--11am Adult ATV's--230pm www.bluegrassxcr.com

I looked in Where2Ride but I was hoping for some input from the locals in the Kentucky/Ten. area that may know of the best places for us to go.
