I have a crf 250x and i took it out after the winter and i put stable in it and let the stable through it then put it away. now after the winter it will start right up with the choke and will run for about 2 - 3 min then it will shut off. i tried to ajust the main screw and turn the choke off but it would still shut off after a little. I Would greatly appreciate some help on this. thank you
  2. So i have a 2004 crf450r and recently i purchased a mega bomb header and the power core 4 FmF slip on exhaust. As of right now i have a 48 for the pilot and 155 for the main , and for the needle set i am using is the one provided in the FmF re jet kit, which is on slot 5. Pretty much the bike appears to be running lean it is backfiring and popping on de acceleration . i would appreciate it a lot if anyone could give me their opinion on what they think? Here are a few pictures of the bike if anyone cares to see it:). Also if it helps to no i just recently replaced the jug gasket and head gasket, also put new shims in and had to set timing cause it was all taken apart, i did this right before i put the new exhaust on . i live in Arizona it is currently 91 degrees and about 1100 feet above see level currently.

    Why wont my 2004 crf250r run while in neutral or with the clutch in? When I'm going it runs completely fine, but when I pull the clutch in, it dies. I run a 162 main jet and a 42 pilot. I have a 270 13.5-1 piston and a hot cam stage 2. Is this a jetting issue? I tried to turn the idle up, even checked the fuel air mixture screw. The plug is burning pretty hot as well. Its a fully rebuilt motor. I ran those jet specs with the stock piston and stock cam. Should I run a 165 main and 45 pilot? I'm at a 300-600 elevation. I'm just stumped, tried everything. It has to be a carb issue.
  4. Hi everyone, I have a question about my 1977 Kawasaki KE100 that i'm fixing up. I took the carb apart and cleaned the 17 years of gummed up-ness and made sure everything was good. Now when i start the bike (which starts with 1-2 kicks cold) the bike will idle at an extremely high speed with choke on until i move the lever to around half choke. Then it'll idle at a normal speed. Air/fuel is at 1 1/2 turns (factory spec) and idle screw is adjusted properly. This really has me stumped, can anyone please help?

    Bike wont start need advice

    i have a 2007 CRF450r. its been sitting for about 3 months now. i went to go start it yesterday and it started within 5 kicks. pretty good for 3 month sitting bike. and i also rode around for 5 minutes and it was good. then just today i tryed starting it then it would take forever to start. i use the choke and it starts easier so i let it run for about 45 seconds and when i off it my bike jus completely dies. and when i try to keep it alive it by reving it my bike starts popping then dies again. anyone know the issue please help

    Honda XR600R (1988)


    so far i love this bike. it is the biggest dirt bike i have ever ridden and the amount of power it has makes me get goose bumps.

Bike is snappy off bottom, Mid is FLAT top is OK but not great. - Air Screw is 1 3/4 turns out - Pilot is in the leanest position - Fuel ratio right now is 36/1 (usually run 44/1) What do YOU run and would moving to 44/1 help with my problem? - Vforce is in good shape - RC valve cables are tight - I'm in California at near Sea Level - Using the Mikuni TMX Carb right now and Carb is clean - Air filter is clean What do you run your pre-mix at in your CR250? What do you think is causing the powerband to go flat from 1/4 to full throttle? ANY ideas/info relevant to the CR250 (particularly the Mikuni TMX, at sea level, would be appreciated!!! Thanks! Here's a pic of the project thus far too!
