Great bike. A little heavy. Easy to work on. Responds well to mods.

    She's a dream come true!

Have to get used to less power with the suzuki. The ktm was a beast.

Just like everyone else. good, reliable and fun to ride. Lots of aftermarket goodies and way to easy to spend way too much money on.

Huge knowledge base on this bike makes it easier to save a few buck on most upgrades.

Love the bike since brand new. Only things I would like to see change are an update to it with a 6 spd, 450+ FI cc and possibly an aluminum frame.

I give five stars because the bike does everything i have asked it to do. When you purchase one of these(Mine is not factory SM), you have to do a fair amount of research into it. Its not a speed machine, it wont power wheelie through all gears. But it is a blast to ride, good on gas, fun to hooligan around on, its light(relatively). I came from an '09 R6 and a Vstar 650 cruiser- ive been on the slow and on the fast..this bike is amazing.

howdy everyone. well this is my 03 drz400s. i have had it almost 2 years now and love it! i pretty much just ride around town on nice days and here and there go up to the woods with buddies and ride trail/logging roads. No real upgrades as of yet, other then new tires and handle bar, brush guards, 14/47 . hoping to get new exhaust/jet kit soon.

I love the DRZ. It is a pig and not the best performer, but I will rebuild this bike over and over before I ever sell it.

Great Bike its heavy as hell but runs great and good power after you wake it up with an MRD exhaust .

MRD pipes are hand built from 18 gage 304 SS and 6061 aluminum, they are tig welded by hand by owner Dave Harryman. These are not over priced stamped out, mass produced pipes, they have a high quality hand fabricated look. MRD builds their pipes from stainless steel because it is the best material for exhaust systems. SS holds more heat in for better exhaust velocity, it does not dent as easily as Titanium, and it does not require loose spring mounting to keep it from breaking. MRD pipes have superior dimensions and flow better than stock, resulting in noticable power gains. Endcaps are bolted for easy removal when changing inserts or repacking. Highlights: - Tapered design, made from 304 Stainless & 6061 Aluminum - Straight, 2.25" high flow core - Hi temp spec 31 packing - Bolted endcap - 14" muffler section The MRD Z-Pro mod pipe was developed with the help of respected engine builder / tuner Eddie Sisneros of Sisneros Speed Works. This pipe is made from bigger diameter tubing and has a bigger muffler core than the PROCOMP that allows a fully modified DRZ400 engine to develop maximum HP. It can be run with a quiet core insert and spark arrestor and it works great on near-stock engines as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoE9LF5MQjk
